I live about a half mile from an Airstream dealer, so they were the first ones I looked at when I started camper shopping. Thank goodness for the internet and being able to look up prices, because I saved myself a LOT of embarrassment by not walking into that dealer with my $30k max budget! 🤣 I had no idea! Great looking trailers though, obviously quality, and I sure wouldn't mind one at my campsite.
Thank you Mat & Anita , we have a 2010- 22 sport, the 20x is our favorite airstream. For our 3&3. Wishes, 1-front window & side windows tilt out. 2-Passenger side under seat storage needs outside access. 3- enclose the dump valves . 3 I love. To hard to limit to 3 but we will. 1- The whole concept of the unit. 2-The front dinette is a home run. 3. the back door makes it. Are you listening Bob?

Thank you Aneida for helping Matt out showing the Air Stream. It’s a nice Air Stream. My dislikes are the cushions aren’t comfortable. The tow jack is manual nit push button. Not too much storage but do able. For a small Rv it’s do able. My likes are the tires, the bathroom and the fact it’s a toy hauler. Thank you Matt and Aneida and Air Stream of Tampa.
Love the dinette with all those windows. Very well laid out off road travel trailer. Matt of course we need AC in 🇨🇦 😂, just not a long as you need it in Florida. Glass doors in an off road trailer? I’d be worried they would shatter? Always love the tower of power
Dinette area was the best part of the RV. Not an Air Stream fan in general as the metal interior just makes me think I'm stuck in a soup can. Price is way too high. I would just buy a used TT from another brand. No storage. The whole thing is just a no for me. Another great Matt video though.

Like the length/weight, the configuration of three sleeping areas, that it doesn't have a cassette toilet (yay). My three dislikes are the glass doors, the glass doors, and the glass doors. They are probably safe, but for off road trekking, it is weird.
Great videos showing the details. It just helps not to waste time on rvs that just will not cut it. Airstream has great build quality but on this unit, it's over $50,000 and it doesn't even include ac or microwave and those window covers are horrible, not to mention no auto jack when even the cheaper brands are including it. These airstreams are most times overpriced. But they do look nice.
A longer version for urban commuting would be great with a dry bath would be great. Everyone talks about how easy they are to tow. I've seen about 3 of these in coastal North Carolina. My wife and I have been looking specifically at the Basecamp. She's not happy with the bathroom situation. We wanted something easy to tow versus the 16-22 foot Bambi. I wish the fridge was Marine grade. The RV industry really needs to consider new AC units that are more efficient and not roof mounted.
How do we feel about the 16x tongue weight when teams with a Jeep Wrangler? Jeep’s tongue weight is 350 & I don’t understand how Jeeps are pulling it without damaging their Jeep. Any tips/tricks?
I would have liked to see the bed set up and modeled. Also, does Airstream of Tampa have bedding that fits the shape or do people have to custom make something?
My main like is the back bed.. it is one of the largest you can get in a small camper. Measurements are same length and width as a King Size bed (with the corners rounded off). Being a 6'2" tall person, the king bed, and tall interior makes it very livable. I don't have any dislikes (other than the fact that you didn't fully demo the bed & tables in the back ;-) ) You also forgot to mention that there is a shower in that little bathroom.

What a perfect little trailer / just right for the weekend hiker / remember you'll prob. be pulling it with a SUV so theres your storage space. Hikers know how to downsize / pee in the camper / dig your hole &poop like a bear (: like to see more windows that open.

I understand it's an airstream but there better be a heck of a discount off the MSRP. For a 20' RV with no storage, a wet bath, a hand crank tongue jack, and those silly shades that remind me of my old pop-up, $55,000 is crazy high.
Really don’t like the Blackout curtains. No TV but I know I could bring my own and finally, I’d like windows in the rear too. I love the shape and front windows. Love the size and weight. Finally I love I could fit it in my small driveway with steep front lip angle.
I love the versatility. The little lady is so right saying it will last for generations. I think this is one is the best by far of the small campers. And it still had a good amount of storage, you couldn’t see it right off but it was there. Air Stream of Tampa you’ve got a gem with this young sales lady !
We considered a basecamp 20, I like the floor plan with the dinette however we ended up buying an Airstream Nest. The basecamp is sooooo dark inside even with all the shades open. Very little counter space and all the glass doors are fingerprint magnets! Roll down shades are ugly. Definitely a “guys” trailer!
I absolutely love the outside and all the windows but the complete inside is a fail. Way too dark! Hate the shades. Where do you put pots and pans? For $55k the Little Guy Max seems much better. Wish we got a better view of the Honorable Mention Prime Pooping Position and shower
I’m gonna add a dislike you probably didn’t think of. I hate those little bungee fasteners over the propane cover. Those are going to wear out FAST and then that flimsy plastic top is going to be flapping as you drive. It’s not like Airstream to cheap out like that.

The Airstream Nest was a flop. They were $50k. My Escape 17B a molded Fibreglass trailer built in British Columbia was a way better value, $32k CAD or about $26k USD. The quality of the Escape is top notch!
What about a Bathroom sink ??? You spend $55k and spit on your Kitchen sink every morning...??? 🤔🤔🤔 No way I will do that. This has been a draw back since basecamp was out and still remains draw back for the trailer.
Sorry, this is a huge NO for me. Hate the window blinds and screens. Snapping that back screen door? Are you kidding? Cloth above the kitchen cook top? Don't like the glass doors rather than pull out drawers, and the list of major flaws goes on. Especially the price.

Remember, that manual hitch jack will ALWAYS work. The Electric ones will not always work. Been there, done that twice.

Way too expensive not a way to move up from a tent not many people can afford it that's why I don't like airstreams
