This is spectacular! What a wonderful piece of human history. A time capsule. Watching from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
it's was a veritable miracle that to find again the boat underwater relly and the exit the boat out of the water incredible
The exhibition has greatly improved since 2010 when I was there, from CH, thank you, Happy 2024❣️🕊️🍀
Ooooòoh! I wish this ship could sail ⛵️ back in the day when it was built. But I guess it was a blessing that it did sink, so we now could enjoy its splendor. This has to be one the most beautiful 16th to 17th century ships ever built. Sweden 🇸🇪 was always topnotch in everything they did. Especially around the time ⏲️ this ship was being made, using their best wood, iron, copper, brass, & bronze metals to make the most wonderful masterpieces of a ship. It was a shame it didn't float 😔, but it also was a blessing that 🙏 it didn't float. What a glorious mistake that the Swedish made for our present 🎁 day and future ....
Well impressed with this museum and wow 😲 what a wonderful massive ship would be so fantastic to see in person ..maybe one day .. thank you .💜
a fascinating sight! great video.
I saw the Vasa on e-bay: “Slightly used war ship. Has some water damage Sold “as is- no warranty. Cash and carry”
Is that part on the front to break ice water with it sailing within the artic circle?
It's always such an awesome feeling to be on the move with you! ❤
Great museum tour! 👏🏼👏🏼
So glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for the imformative video
pronunciation of Vasa. You pronounced it VOLSA, we were told. VASA or WASA. Which one? Great tour you covered the highlights that we had visited.
I just have to correct you. Vasa sank in Stockholms Ström.
Merci ...tres bien video...🧿
Cannon doors was open when Vasa sunk. A contributory cause.
Hi Ariel, I always am late to your lives!! I thought you didn't stream until 3 pm Stockholm time? It is 2.36 pm your time now yet it says, the steam began an hour ago! What times do you usually come on please?
Hey Mathona!! Thanks so much for your contribution via PayPal, I’m so glad I can show you the world! My schedule is Thursday-Saturdays at 3:00pm Western-European Time / 9:00am NYC. All other livestreams (like the ones today) are at random times, so make sure to put on your notification by pressing the bell button 🔔
I visited this in 1968, it looked a lot different then. Viewing from Spain.
That's a really long time ago.
Life boat? 🤣 Maybe do a bit more research first, but I enjoyed your meanderings and version of events.
Here watching from Philippines
Any of the cannons around? Or were they all repurposed?
We saw at least two during the middle of the video
Most cannons were salvaged already during the 1600’s, using dive bells.
Three original cannons are on display in the museum. There’s been a project, where a replica was cast and fired, to see what damage the cannons would have caused when hitting an enemy ship. Try searching for ‘Bofors test center - vasa gun project’ on here 😊
Amazing but sad
Total 18 royal ships where built. Vasa was the second ship.
