I was hoping you could answer a simple question that I'm having a hard time finding an answer for. I have a Holley 94 bugspray I am rebuilding. I bought a kit from a local VW supply store. I was installing the 2 venturis and the gaskets that I assumed were correct, would not fit in the pocket around the holes on the body. There were 4 brass washers....I used those because they fit perfectly, but I'm not sure they are correct or will seal properly. Should these gaskets be the...I'm guessing paper gaskets...red in my kit? Or are the brass washers correct? Thanks in advance!
@Mikes Carburetor thanks for the reply. I had also sent in an email asking about this...wasn't sure if you replied to all comments. In the response on the email, I was told they could be brass or paper.
I have an F250, purchased new by my father in 1972. 300 six with a Carter YF. I've had many problems with the YF in the last few years; accelerator pump leaking into the manifold making it hard to start, float bowl going dry while sitting, and now it won't start in the winter because the automatic choke doesn't function. What is my best solution?

Please, I have YFA on my '77 F250, 300ci. I downloaded manual and tried my best to follow rebuild instructions and I watch so many of your videos. I have a dripping leak. It looks like where the link-pump lifter comes out of the front of the carburetor below the bowl by the throttle shaft seal, dust shaft seal and washer. I have checked the float height and drop height matching with float level 70-71 Frd trk 300ci for closest match. Does this mean I have the part 63 rod seal wrong? Was I to press and seat it in the oval hole the rod goes down? Also, on your YFA diagram of parts, there is part number 64 looks like three oval seals. I don't think I have those, but I could order them from you if needed. What are your ideas please for repairing this dripping leak?
Question: I have a 68 F100 240 I6 it’s got a pieced together carter on it. Do you know what originally came on this motor and do you know where I can buy one. Oh, manual choke and that’s been my problem Amazon has plenty but not that say 240 w/manual choke Thank you
Nope we looked into the Chinese and tested many. Mostly junk. One option is to buy the chinese then rebuild it with US parts. It's mostly the parts they put in the carbs that are no good.@@jeffthompson6306
Thanks Mike👍

Those gaskets should be paper.

@@1bobvideo I've only seen paper.
@Mikes Carburetor ok. I may have to order a set then. The paper gaskets in the kit definitely don't fit

Are you still rebuilding carburetors ? I have a ball and ball carburetor I'm wanting to have rebuilt
Sorry we don't rebuild. Can't recommend anyone at this time.

Would it be possible to send me a photo of where it is leaking to sales@mikescarb.com Please copy this message along with the picture.
@@MikesCarburetor if I ever forget to tell you, thank you so much for your help. I am so grateful
We do appreciate you watching the videos.
That you for watching.

Most used the YF, or YFA. Be careful because Amazon sells Chinese carburetors that aren't good.
@@MikesCarburetor I found that out the hard way. Was hoping you sold them.
