    I could never thank you enough! It's so easy to understand because of the way you explain you are a natural teacher!
    I hope you get the time on any of your future videos, to tell us a couple of stories about something incredible that happened to you on your many years of ranching, something like which was your best horse of all times and why, or something about roping on the range, I sure love these kind of stories, thank you again from Benjamín Hill Sonora México.

    She is really something! I love how much life she has, even at a walk. Darn it, if I were not on the opposite coast I would be bugging you to sell her to me. Thanks for such clear instruction.

    I have been going back and forth with the snaffle to the rope hackamore (halter - with reins and a lead rope) anytime it breaks down. My horse has a confidence problem when we are away from the herd so we are playing with that now...He has a good mind though...thanks Jer

    I like the idea of these logs Pat.....it makes sense to the horse, Have you ever tried to walk the horse where the horse straddles the log front end and back end and legs on both sides of the log...gonna look at trying that tomorrow with Gus

    What kind of ropes do you guys use? I’m looking to get a 60’ rope from King Ropes but I’m not sure what kind.

      A halter. We ride our colts in a halter for the first 2-3 weeks after they are started.

    What is bar breaking?? I didn't hear it. Is there a video on it? Thanks

    • @PatnDebPuckett
      @PatnDebPuckett  2 роки тому

      Barbreaking is usually a reference to cowboys loading their horses up after a rodeo or other soirée and going to a bar to have a few beers. The horses learn to stand quietly in the trailer during this time.

    • @dirkkuerschnerpeasantfield8913
      @dirkkuerschnerpeasantfield8913 2 роки тому

      @@PatnDebPuckett Thanks, so it's literally loading into a trailer? Why did Pat mention it when the horse was in the paddock?

    • @PatnDebPuckett
      @PatnDebPuckett  2 роки тому

      @@dirkkuerschnerpeasantfield8913 no it refers to horses in trailers that stand quiet. Or horses that stand quietly anywhere for that matter.

      @@PatnDebPuckett Got it. Do you have a video talking about making a horse stand still? Do you hobble them if they prance? I've seen that pipe thing that Pat ties up to, but haven't seen an explanation for it, and how he goes about tying up a colt? Thanks

    • @PatnDebPuckett
      @PatnDebPuckett  2 роки тому

      @@dirkkuerschnerpeasantfield8913 I don’t know what you mean by prance. We have quite a few videos on our channel. Many of them address all of your questions:
      ua-cam.com/video/EzB0C-VU--o/v-deo.html
      We rope all of our horses which teaches them to respect the end of the rope:
