Always something, So after my hard failing live stream due to net issues a few days ago last night we got a good one. . . broken by constant crashes of my HP Reverb G2. Needless to say I'm not recommending HP's flagship VR headset anymore and am currently investigating why it's having so many issues on a system like mine (system specs below) before I make a video going over thee issues in detail. Still when it works it's great and the livestream was fun and I hope you enjoy! Check out my designs and help support the channel! I keep hoping to find you in the skies for a duel, your videos were the thing that actually got me interested in WT back in the day (somehow I discovered IL2 before War Thunder lol), and its great to see more and more folks enjoying the VR experience!
20:19 According to the killfeed(and visual inspection of the stopped video), that was a 262 C... 1. That explains where he suddenly came from without any warning and 2. What he or she was trying to do. Something that would work in a regular 262 A-1 or A-2, a shallow chandelle energy trap... slowly accelerating in a gentle turn, building speed while making it look like your Tiffy is actually closing the distance so you keep pulling lead and slow yourself down. But the 262 C-1 is quite a bit heavier thanks to relative bulk of the rocket engine, while the C-2's rockets are lighter and burn longer, but because of space issues they had to fit the weaker BMW 003 engines. In any case, a 262 C without its rockets can't do what the much lighter regular versions can. He had no business at all being over your side of the front without any reserve rocket fuel, and should've used the last bit of rocket fuel to get on vector to base and get some altitude to shallow dive back.
I loved the nap of the earth flying magz seriously. It reminds me of my grampa teaching me to fly as a kid. He was retired a retired USAF pilot and we used to fly through the foothills of California low and fast like that
Magz why why are you not a documentary narrator lol honestly man you have one of the most even toned calm voices I’ve ever heard. You should look into man you’d be great. And love your videos always a joy to watch.
I um an d arr a little too much though to be fair this was past 3 and into 4 in the morning. Honestly I'm not one because no one has ever asked and I don't really think the aussie accent leads that well into it. A strong British accent tends to sound far more formal. Still glad you like it, I can't stand my own voice. :D
@@MagzGTV Not so sure... can't be any worse than Steve Irwin. But just for fun please do one in the voice of Kevin Bloody Wilson. Sow rm what a real ocka sounds like.
Damn, and I was thinking to invest in a VR Headset, HP seemed like a good choice, but I'm gonna wait one on that for now. V: Hope you solve the issues Magz, good flying btw. c:
As soon as I know more I'll be making sure I keep everyone updated. I want to make this channel VR focused in the future for reasons I partly covered in this video/stream. Getting this headset functional and sorting it's issues out has hit the top of my priorities list. OH! BTW I think I'll need you to run me through how to mod in your Ace Combat mod mate, I want to fly it from in cockpit in VR :D
oh god oh frick. I can try to help, yes. Also, to fix your trimming issues, set your trim control axis to relative controls and define a step increase of your choice, or reduce the sensitivity if you don't want it to be step based. (Means each key press will increase or decrease the amount of trimming by a set percentage)
@@kumisz2 Well I feel like someone has to as VR flight simming seems to be seriously overlooked. Also the fact that the headset counters most of my visual issues (I'll explain how I think that's happening in detail in an upcoming video) means that it's an ideal route for me to follow. I just need to work out the best ways of doing it. . . . A rebrand will likely be a start.
I haven't had a single issue with any device on any port other than the G2, never heard of anyone else having an issue outside of with the g2 as well. Seems more to be an issue localised with the headset than the motherboard.
If you're using buttons instead of an axis for trimming controls just go into the settings for the trim and enable relative controls, that should fix your issue
I know, that's how I had it set but for some reason it's reverted to that. I've actually already fixed it now I'm just not sure how the binds changed to begin with.
Magz, I have a x570 mb as well and was having issues with the g2 drifting head position while within the game amongst other things. It all seems to be solved by installing a dedicated PCIe USB 3.1 card with a usb c port. The G2 is all I have plugged into it. Touch wood been no problems for weeks now. Might be worth a try
Yeah that's a known fix for tracking drift, problem is it doesn't fix the crashes. People without X570 boards are having in HMD bluescreens, and Roll over CTD's identical to what I am having.
Great video, seems like the HP was giving you some trouble though. How have you been enjoying it so far for flight sims (when it decides to work)? I have seen plenty of content on it for racing/space but not much for flight combat sims. Edit: Saw your original post a bit late, thx for the content mate.
IMO the mk4 is better br for br than the sea jesus, more power, better climb and still exellent turn rate, problems are though poor roll-rate and it rips easily at 700-800kmh, oh and controls lock up at anything over 700kmh
Odd, i have no problems what so ever with my Reverb G2 with a less beefy system (2080ti, i7 8700k). Enjoy WT like hell. Only problem is that my PC doesn't run IL2 or DCS on 90fps, so I pause these until I get a better system. I don't think that you can go "back" to a headset with lesser resolution, only way is to wait for another one with at least the same rez. I know i could never go back to the Rift S, Index or similar, even if that means pausing my favourite sims/games due to performance reasons
3am to 5am in Australia. That's around 9am in west coast US, launch time on the east cost, 5pm in the UK and 6pm in central Europe. When Australia sleeps the rest of the world is awake.
@@MagzGTV so the problem is the international links or network congestion inside Australia? Keep up the good work.........should be interesting to see how VR progresses as a technology that has more uptake.
@@wazza33racer yeah, basically the problem is my local network is oversubscribed and the provider (NBNco) don't want to upgrade the system. As a result I have an unstable connection that at best is providing less than half of what I am paying for, I'm pretty deep into trying to get this fixed but for the moment my best option seems to be just throwing a normal sleep schedule out the window and streaming at stupid hours in the morning.
Well to be fair it was a 262 that I strafed and IRL most 262's lost where shot down by tempests in runway strafes so you could say I was just doing my part to make WT more realistic XD

Nothing better than low and fast. It's why I don't get into airliners on civie sims, Give me bush planes 10 feet off the deck. :)
