Brilliant work! Nice attention to detail (food safe silicone grease, vinegar, cautions about o-rings, etc.).
Thanks… much appreciated! 😎
Thanks for the great vids👍🖖👏✌️
What a great job and so to the point. Thank you so much! You are a Pro UA-cam Video Maker very impressed!
Thanks! Not sure about the Pro UA-cam video maker, but I'll take it. LOL
Oh my god I do this too! I figure it's broken already so why not take it apart and see how it works. Sometimes like you I've actually fixed things! Glad I found a kindred spirit.
Nice to meet you! 😎
Thanks, needed this! I didn't realize I could just pull the buttons off to slide out the internals and fix the valve. Now its greased up and works like new.
👍😎
Well done! Clear. Pointed. Helpful.
👍😎
Just what I was looking for. Great video. Thank you.
👍😎
This breakdown was very easy to follow. Thank-you
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback back. 😎
My daughter followed this video today and got my faucet working perfectly again. Thank you!!
You’re welcome! Glad to hear it. 👍😎
Awesome! I have the same kitchen faucet and have replaced the spray head twice, but kept the old ones. I'm going to refurbish them!
Good luck! 👍😎
Excellent inspirational video. Concise and to the point.
Inspirational?! No one has described my videos as inspirational before. Thanks! 😎
Great work 👍
Thanks! Much appreciated! 😎
I just tore mine apart. Normally i just soak the whole thing in vinegar but I wanted to check the internals. Pretty clean inside, thanks for the Vid.
You’re welcome! Thanks for the feedback! 😎
A set of reamers for carburetors works wonders for cleaning small openings in faucets. It is ~20 stainless wires of varying gauge useful to clean orifices. The set is inexpensive. Nice vid!
You’re welcome and thanks for the tip! 😎
Excellent videohas been the vest one so far. No one else has gone enough depth.
Thank you! 👍😎
Thanks for the great video. You saved me alot
You’re welcome! 😎
Here's my problem.... i would have no problem taking that apart and cleaning it. But i guarantee i would forget how to put that thing back together.
Excellent!
One comment: My Simplice sprayer has a different design requiring a pin scanner wrench to unthread the diffuser end. A pair of needle-nose pliers work well to disassemble and then re-assemble the sprayer. A soak overnight in white vinegar and then some clean with an old toothbrush, cotton swabs, and toothpicks cleaned everything up. No parts needed replacement. My sprayer works like new now, not like the ten years old that it is.
Thanks man, saved me $40 to replace!
👍😎
Awesome
Thanks! 😎
instead of dismantling how about just putting it all in vinegar and see how far that goes
its always more than interesting to see how things work since one understand the physics of things around them to get a general estimate if things are easily enough to fix.
Just like how some people throw out a $1000 lawn mower and all was needed was the carburetor clean. A powerful pc and all that was needed was a reinstallation of os. Or a Fridge and all is needed is a $10 component for a $1000 fridge.
Thanks! Yup… it’s more fun to take things apart. 😎
Awesome . I lowe the video
Thanks! 😎
Thank you. Having same problem. I called. Kohler & they sent me free nozzle replacement but same thing happened again even with soaking in vinegar as they suggested
👍😎
I have kohler k598 spray head what tool will disasemble only one I;ve found is to small
Sorry... I don't know. 🤷🏻♂
No disassemble Johnny 5!
Excellent video!
Those spouts are too complicated.
At 0:14, you show your wrench grasping the aerator, presumably on two flats. My faucet's aerator has no flats. (Model 596-CP). I bought the faucet less than two weeks ago, in Nashua, NH.
Thanks! Mine luckily had the wrench flats. I think most of Kohler’s new aerators need a key for installation and removal. 😎
@@HacksbyDad Mine does. You can find instructions online for cobbling together a key. I haven't got around to trying it yet.
@@cavenewt9980 👍😎
0:20 bro, how the hell did you get that off? It's slippery as all can be
Not sure. Mine unscrewed without any issues. 🤷🏻♂
Why don’t you just call Kohler and they will replace it free of charge. They have replaced mine three times. Right now they are sending me a new replacement hose with the sprayer free.
You should not have to do what you are doing and it still has a chance of not working right. And the cost.
Thanks for the tip!
I actually enjoy taking things apart and fixing them if possible. 😎
They'll send a whole new spray had even if mine is clogged with hard water scale? That's pretty amazing.
@@cavenewt9980 Thanks! Did you need to send in a copy of a receipt or other type of proof of purchase?
@@HacksbyDad I did an online chat late on a Sunday night! I bought my faucet six years ago on Amazon, and was able to provide the Amazon order number. He didn't even ask any questions, just said they would send a new spray head under warranty. This faucet does have a lifetime warranty, although I didn't think that would cover parts damaged by hard water. By the way I did ask if they had an aerator key service part, and apparently they don't.
@@cavenewt9980 Good to know... thanks!
but ... but ... but, your old! .. that by itself makes any, intelligence, knowledge, and/or experience you have irrelevant .. because, hey! .. this is the new generation you just simply don't understand anything!
Thanks… I think. 🤷🏻♂️😎
