Good video but sadly a lot of the Information is wrong or inaccurate. 0:45 Plane is for sure damaged. Undercarriage and it even sounds like two prop strikes. 1:30 This is an Antonow AN-2 and the landing gear broke because the pilot landed too short and hit the end of the runway. It was totaled. 2:03 Tail rotor malfunction, pretty sure the engine is ok. 3:15 Windsheer. 10:00 The engine for sure did not just randomly start "unexpectedly". You can even see the pilot coming out after the crash. I guess he hit the throttle lever for some reason and wasn't able to correct his mistake in time. 14:16 I think this wasn't a takeoff but more of a try to land on a very short runway. Pilot misjudged runway length, speed or his gross weight. Or everything together. Also failed to cut off the engines to idle. The landing gear did not catch fire, these are the brakes overheating mostly in a desperate attempt to get the plane stopped in time. 15:15 Landing gears are constructed in a way that they collapse "safely" when overloaded, normally there is little to no risk of piercing a fuel tank. For sure not in a Cessna 172, the fuel tanks are located in the wings. 16:05 & 22:12 This is Aerosucre out of Colombia. They are known to fly often illegally and on purpose over their weight limit. Sadly they also crash pretty often. 17:17 Birdstrike. 18:10 Every trained pilot can handle it. But you need to pass a special test to be allowed to land on this airport. 18:58 Pilot stood on the left brake pedal while landing, that's why they cut left immediately after touchdown and you hear the tire screeching. If it was a student pilot, then the instructor messed up big time here. He should have his feet on the pedals on his side too, to feel what his student is doing. 19:43 If you mean a tire popped, ok maybe but for me it looks like the pilot maybe landed a bit short and just lost control over his plane. 20:50 It's called crab walking and is perfectly normal to do in strong crosswinds. 22:49 Not a landing gear failure. My guess is the first landing attempt was a hard one and led to collapsing of the landing gear. They made a go around and second attempt with collapsed gear. That's why emergency was ready for it.
Thanks, Professor. What would we do without you? Enjoy videos without being corrected, probably. But while you were on a roll, why didn't you catch that on the aircraft carrier launches at 9:40 , the first two were F-18's? And finally... 17:17 ... Nope. Tree strike. Due to a really bad idea.

Also the video at 1:30. The landing gear didn't "Break Down on the Runway". The pilot obviously landed short, smashing the gear into an embankment just in front of the runway.
@@Tech_New_Tips - Yup. It's a C-5 Galaxy, and is the largest plane in the US military inventory. It can carry two M1 Abrams battle tanks. I have some footage of a C-5 taking off on my channel.
What idiot would drive across a runway? We live on a private air park community and despite VERY BIG MARKINGS AND SIGNS we get people "looking at for sale property" that drive across the runway. Safety rules don't apply to them. You can't fix terminal stupidity.
They used to land the Goodyear blimps near me, I lived on a hill near Hatbox Field. They would fly so close over my house I could holler back and forth with the pilots.
Some of the commentary is actually a bit defamatory. That clip of that car almost hitting the plane because he was a "bad driver"? Yeah... That was a plane landing on a normal CAR ROAD and you blamed the plane for the car not expecting a plane to land... Frankly that's a bit shameful.
If you're talking about the clip that starts around 0:55, then the car is most definitely in the wrong. Not only does it appear to be an actual runway that the pilot is landing on and not a simple CAR ROAD as you put it, but there are also what appear to be warning signs on both sides of the road on both sides of the runway, probably to warn them to watch for planes. It was the DRIVER who didn't bother to look. I've seen similar setups like this in residential airport runways, especially when they are not officially controlled runways (ie. lack a tower, lighting, or other officials to control approach, landings, take-offs, etc). normally jurisdiction over the airspace itself is with the reginal ATC, but local control is shared among the pilots using the field itself. Would be 100% different if we were talking about the later clip where the pilot institutes an emergency landing on a highway, but this was definitely a runway.
BRAVO to all these pilot's for getting their planes on the ground, mostly safely. Why I don't like flying in bad weather. Just watching this made my stomach hurt!
I enjoyed the length of the video. Did you have someplace you needed to be? Maybe just fast forward through the parts that didn't offer the possibility of imminent, fiery death or gruesome disfigurement?
This video took me back to a memory from years ago when I flew into a small regional airport with my father, who was a pilot. I was a nervous teenager, but I remember him holding the control stick with such calm and focus as wind gusts shook the small plane. He reassured me with a smile, saying, ‘It’s not about avoiding the bumps, it’s about landing safely no matter what.’ Watching those pilots in this video face challenges so bravely reminds me of that day-where trust, skill, and determination brought us home safely. Hats off to pilots everywhere!

1st one, "plane wasn't damaged", I seriously doubt that..
Also the video at 1:30.
The landing gear didn't "Break Down on the Runway". The pilot obviously landed short, smashing the gear into an embankment just in front of the runway.
*These unbelievable scenes made me very impressed and excited, the images and video comments are very good. LIKE a lot, guys*
10:15 unexpectedly started....10:30 not unexpected if the person presses "START".
The pilot's definition of a good landing: *_"Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing."_*
Such a creative compilation! That clip at 3:15 had me rolling
7:03 i don’t know why but i can’t stop laughing! 😂
The landing at 5:45 is awesome! The pilot was an absolute boss!!
Watching this makes me appreciate aviation safety even more. Do you think airports are prepared for such emergencies?
The last clip of that cargo plane closing up tight was bad ass!
2:52 was a tail rotor fail not an engine fail.
0:45 - Fun fact: Half of all belly landings are a result of the pilot forgetting to lower his landing gear.
I wonder if the pilot has to get a "red card" right after that? 😅✈

Did anyone see the small flat craft in the sky that passes behind the top tip of the Lufthansa airplane tail at 25:43 of this video?
Yepppp, looks like we might need a whole team of UFO experts for this one lol 👽

14:12 Pilot lands a helicopter on a moving ship BAREFOOT!
9:41 That's not an F35.
12:49 Also that truck is the world's smallest aircraft carrier.

Nice video, and I like airplanes.
They used to land the Goodyear blimps near me, I lived on a hill near Hatbox Field. They would fly so close over my house I could holler back and forth with the pilots.
the first one the plane’s pilot, Chris Georgaklis, 85, managed to fly 100 miles to Fort Lauderdale after the incident and landed safely.

"Die motor is abfahrt." I hate when that happens.
I can't find anything wrong at this moment, could someone explain? 23:15
Seriously? The landing gear failed, looks like most likely due to a previous attempt that went wrong, hence the emergency personnel on standby.

Hey, any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.
That Koala pilot, mishandled both the approach and subsequent emergency that followed.

It’s incredible to see how challenging landings and takeoffs can be for pilots. Major respect for their skills and quick thinking under pressure!

The first helicopter guy landing on a boat was BAREFOOT. I guess when you're rich, you do as you please.
Nice videos. Unfortunately about 50% of the clips are perfectly normal and should not be part of this. Would reduced it to 12 minutes or so.
