Igaguri-ryuu ninpou!
I guess it's almost hilariously fitting Suzu's exhibition was released so far apart from the other Phantasia exhibitions but really, the main reason why I've been kicking this around is that I hate the intro I had to work with. I still hate how it turned out but what can we do?
Suzu is a lot more complete of a character than she may initially look. Her moveset is tiny, yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't versatile.
Surprisingly enough she has pretty much everything she needs in such a condensed moveset. Since her weapons are elemental aligned it's a relief she has so many elemental attacks to override what would be a resisiting element.
She seems like the prototype aerial fighter of the series. She was the very first character to have an aerial combo of any sort (just with normal attacks but still). I'd have liked to see her fighting style taken to the air but so far NDX and RM's interpretations are completely different from what one would believe.
Suzu packs a punch and while she's well hidden in the game, she's worth unlocking.
Video Type: Arte Exhibition - Ігри
JIRAYA WAS A BULLFROG~
The only regret I have from playing the SNES version of ToP is not getting the extra characters.
I laugh so hard when suzu fail casting jiraya and turned to a crying costume frog human :v
Manjushage must be so broken against larger targets, especially with Phantasia X's speed boost to it. Her list of moves isn't long but they sure are fun to wield. I imagine she still has many jutsu left to learn in the Igaguri style; after all she's probably still a chūnin. She doesn't even have the kawarimi technique down and all ninja know it, including Shadow Man. Logs and frogs baby, logs and frogs! :D
Isn't it cute that she cries when Jiraiya fails? Her honor as a ninja is besmirched! And then, as I saw in your other exhibition video, NDX took it to a new level by still letting her attack (on both sides!) with her explosive tears if she failed. XD
Manjushage was super broken in GBA version due to the gravity in that game xD You could keep using it over and over and they weren't able to recover.
I find it kind of funny how she's a ninja in training and she has more ninja-related techniques than our fully fleshed out "ninja" Sheena xD
It's a nice touch they gave the fail version in NDX explosive tears of ninja dishonor. Visually it looks similar to Holy Judgment :p
Nice, what a way to make up for how flighty and heavy everything else is in that port. XD
Sheena's style of ninjutsu seems to rely primarily on disabling opponents through their parameters, which sounds exactly like what a professional saboteur would do. But you're right. At least Sheena can use the kawarimi technique in New World, cutscene only sadly. Instead of summoning frogs like any Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya-inspired ninja tends to be, they gave her summons, which is a nice twist if anything.
Suzu seems better than what I remember from her. Nice job!
she has a WAY more interesting moveset then Sheena, being related to her, too!
Suzu is cute,I love Suzu.THANK YOU!
wasn't expecting to hear kaguya's theme here, it whas a nice touch tho..
Don't worry the intro is pretty good IMO. However the music seems to end a bit brutaly at 1:53. I just realized that Suzu would be incredibly good if she was in ToX2 since she has access to so many elements (even more with her weapons!). First time I see the failure version for ToPX, thanks a lot!
That's actually how the composer chose to remix the song, I didn't do that. :oMmm she probably could be a really useful character in elemental-based Tales games. She even has daggers as a basic attack (pierce), sword (slash) and kicks (smash)!!
Aw, thank you dood! I needed this for Tales of ACS R. Thanks!
Oh nice! I'd like to see how that shapes up like once it's done :)
Kevassa02 Current goal is to program a version of Utsushimi that matches the game... whew. That'll be tricky.
NDX's Utsushimi is different, if you'd like to know.
Once I get around NDX Arte Exhs (currently not a lot of time to do so but it WILL get done) you'll see what I mean
Kevassa02 I look forward to it ^_^
yay suzu
Taeko Kawata~ :3
Amy Rose is a ninja XD
While Rideaux and Chlorseraph = Shadow
Dezel = Silver
Shirley = Tails
Awesome
Kaguya's theme!
it's 2023 and I am now just playing this game (PSX translation). i just noticed both Suzu and Sheena have Fujibayashi as their surname are they related?
It's a nod that both of them are the head of the ninja village. Very likely blood related or potentially a surname inherited by the heads.
@@Kevassa i really like Suzu's gameplay, i wish she had more moves/combos and non-elemental weapons. this game held up really well after all this time
what's the name of song used
Meatball Raiden!
How do you get samidare?
You buy it from a ninja in Moria Mine's new area in the future (arguably the hardest level in the game), near the end, for 470,000 Gald (this won't be a problem by that point). IIRC, there's 2 caves near each other in the last floor. One of them has the ninja inside and the other takes you to the end.
So, Suzu Is NOT PLAYABLE On SFC/SNES, Right?
She's not, actually
Late, But Thanks. :O
@Zedrik Allen What??? I had no clue she was in the game, what was her purpose then 😭
@Zedrik Allen Oh i meant like what was her purpose in snes if she wasn't playable then, kinda seems odd but im glad she's here to stay now
Shadow clone jutsu
Fireball jutsu
Toad summoning
Naruto you copycat bastard lol
Naruto was a tales fan all along!
Being serious they are common ninja stuff in anime culture hahah
