@@enshk79 I’m a pretty calm guy but one time our new neighbour was putting up a fence and her and the handyman I guess came to my door to ask if I could move my project car. I said I could, and he says oh I was just in it and tried to start it. I’ve never, ever, ever yelled louder, or longer at someone in my life. I was behind my security door and the key was out and hanging on a hook up high so our kids couldn’t unlock it, and I am grateful because I now understand what people mean when they say they black out in a fit of range because I could see myself grabbing him and destroying him.

Gordon and Jon don't mess around. They are straight in your face and have no bones telling you what is what.
It's because they are actually professional and feel disrespected when people act like their work is easy and then absolutely fail
its because they are professionals, have spent well over 10000 hours in the industry and can spot out a mistake as quick as they can spot out whats red and whats blue. to them, its common sense, and they take it very seriously.
Because they are the top of their game. No one is better than they are, and they know it, so they can tell ANYONE the way it is and they can't say shit.
And when Jon lowers his voice or Gordon says "Could I see everyone for a meeting?" You know shit's about to go down
its not just their professionalism in the industry, but the ethical commitment to making sure food is done right. because its FOOD AND DRINKS. i feel like so many restaurants ultimately forget that food is meant to be enjoyed, and more importantly, needs to be safe to consume.
and some people chase money more than that ethic.

I used to work in a pub and my boss used to come in and complain to me about stupid things that didn't pertain to my job at all...while I was off shift, I got up and left, every time. The next day he'd always apologize (I had told him I don't want to hear about his life problems) and say it wouldn't happen again. Rinse and repeat
That would be the last time I was in the bar. I work too hard for my money to spend it in a place that doesn't appreciate my patronage.
