As a Cowboys fan I also too was watching his development and everything you said was spot on Newark NJ hopefully he will grow and learn from his mistakes watching films will help him because he has the ability
Well done explaining NFL reciever routes and schemes. Helpful when trying to understand being a LB at that level. Clearly not easy. Fingers crossed he stays healthy and develops quickly.
GREAT break dn. I said he was gd at chasing with LVE. But needed work bcuz he was a bit hesitant. In this film it looked like he was a bit over excited to get in fray on misdirection. What if he just takes a tick later to assess before he pursues carrier? Would it make him more efficient on edge ?
it's tricky to tame that aggressiveness in a LB, bc oftentimes it's what makes them so effective. but can also get them in trouble with play fakes, etc
They shouldn't put TY Hilton out there or OBJ. They need to play action every down with 2 or more tight-ends out there. Dak should be passing less than 50% of the downs for the game.
Some analysts had him rated as the best Linebacker in the draft pre fusion surgery. Still don’t see how he slipped to the 5th. He had the production, the film and the measurables of a 1st rounder
@@AtoZSportsFilmRoom 100%. Legit can and often does end a career. LVE is a good example of what an injury to that area can do, he seems just now to be getting back to the form he was in that first year but likely will never 100% get back
It’s hard for any LB to read those misdirection and option plays when the line isn’t disruptive in the run. Once the line started to blow those things up it’ll slow the game down for the LBs
I’m excited for D. Clark because he can run down J. Hurts. Hurts hasn’t played against any team that has two linebackers who can fun him down. The Eagles are a GREAT Team (I’ve been a Cowboy’s fan since 1960) that has an Offense that’s faster than every Defense in the NFL except Dallas. I think if Hurts can continue to be effective as a passer the Eagles will win against a depleted Cowboy’s secondary UNLESS the game becomes a scoring fest. I think if both Offenses are playing well on Christmas Eve, the Cowboys have the advantage because the #1 Defense of Dallas should get one or two stops against the Eagle’s Offense, which will be the difference.
I’m excited about his potential but not sure I want him getting a ton of snaps against Philly. They’re going to be doing misdirection all game and you bet they know Damone will bite on it.
@@luisortiz-ic3ml oh gotcha. Makes me sick to think that Steele is gone for the year right as Tyron Smith is coming back. We were about to be back to having the most dominant o-line in the league again. And the loss of Hankins is big too in the run defense. Hopefully all the additions they made this week will make up for it.
@@SavageSpiders not really big on J.Ball but have to admit he's been playing better . Maybe in bk of my mind he "ripens" like Steele did bcuz I'm not ashamed to say it even in OTAs this yr n yrs past . I wanted him gone !! I liked Avante Collins( UDFA) he's gonna be a great RT when he gets chance . Glad Tyron is taking over RT side with Martin J.Peters is going to rotate I. You can't give him more 30 snaps in order for him to stay fresh bcuz of age. So we might be switching off 3 RTs all game. They're going to leave McGovern n Tyler on LS . Think well be alright but my eye is going to be on BALL. N hoping the give the Collins kid a few snap for his first NFL experience to see how he handle game speed
He's everything Jaylon Smith isn't. Now, JS is a great player and shows a lot of heart, but JS would play scary. LIke he would intentionally get caught up on the first line of defenders and would never shed the linemen or even RB's. Clark does that with ease. LVE is now going the way of JS where he's in the play, but can't penetrate for a tackle at all. He's a good speed bump though, so he will clog the lane to let a real tackler come in and finish the job like Clark, MIcah, or Sam.
He recognizes what the hells going on almost as good as Joe Lambert and I don't say that lightly. In my mind, Lambert read and destroyed plays better than anyone that ever played the game. All he needs is more experience and Chuck Noll
What do you think Damone Clark's ceiling is with the Cowboys?
I see a great LB especially down the stretch and next year with a full off season he’ll be a top 5-10 LB
I think he's a stud like I been said
he can become a starter
Damone Clark ceiling is BIG!!!!
I'm very excited that we have someone that can line-up next to LVE. DAMONE IS A BEAST!
As a Cowboys fan I also too was watching his development and everything you said was spot on Newark NJ hopefully he will grow and learn from his mistakes watching films will help him because he has the ability
110%
Being someone who's had a spinal fusion, just seeing him play this year is amazing
that alone is remarkable
I been talking about this dude since last year I gassed he finally playing play a d fence next year is going to crazy !!!
Well done explaining NFL reciever routes and schemes. Helpful when trying to understand being a LB at that level. Clearly not easy. Fingers crossed he stays healthy and develops quickly.
He needs to find Sean Lee and get in the play book more… Sean Lee wasn’t the fastest but he was definitely the most prepared and smartest
I'm hoping we bring bk THE GENERAL as a LB COACH
He was a dirty player

I think he’ll be better in the second level than in the edge. He’ll be able to read plays better

teams are wary of injuries like that, so the drop makes sense. but the talent was always there for 1st round

very sad we won't get to see the Boys go against Hurts

Better someone quick than Barr....has lost a step
Unless he doesn’t bite anymore & gets after the 2nd option, he can make some plays.. I’m optimistic in him contributing!!
Better than Barr
Hes gonna be good. Reminds me of Brandie James... so far
Damone Clark was a side line to side line stud at LSU…Hope he gets back to that level…
Yes he was!!!!
I'm praying coz gets healthy
Hey....really well done....if you could do the same for Sam williams and the young tight ends for the cowboys, would be great
I love fergy- i think he's our next WITTEN

for sure
Excellent analysis. I like this guy.
Iow,
He's raw...
But this rawness is very good considering all the facts
He just needs to trust his eyes, and he will be dominant
Report cards since last one you did pls. Also please do will levis
If we can’t beat Jags we can’t beat anyone period #truth
And I hate saying it but it’s true
I think he’s going to be a key factor for those RPO offenses
agreed

I swear if we get rid of him bc we don’t got enough salary cap I’m gon get mad
20 Technique ....second level defense Techniques are double digit (ends with 0)

Jack?
Jack
Clark is everything I wanted from jaylen smite
Another get pick. No real camp. If he stays healthy. He could be on fire next yr.
I personally think he's not physical enough to fight thru the trash to make the tackle.
great breakdown
He hides 240 lbs very well and does not move like he weighs that much.
yep, freak athlete
his instincts too
