Wolf, I feel you. Traveling with a Penny Board and pump track ambition led to a sprained wrist. Still feeling it 4 months later. Glad you all talk about the longer board, and recommend wrist guards til you get the hang of it. A 22” is a death trap!
Loved the specific advice you're serving! ❤ I'm still having problems with absorbing the peaks, especially if I go fast, sometimes the peak hits me so hard that my back foot loses the board for a bit (which is sketchy) and when it lands it's not in a good position. Any advice on this?

I love my longboard for how it can handle bigger hills and also huge bumps in the city and remain stable. Only problem is it’s too big sometimes yk? Any help would be appreciated. It HAS to be super stable because I love using it down huge hills, but it ALSO has to be SUPER good at riding over bumps and cracks that you see often in the city and places with rough rough terrain
If you're worried about stability, experiment with your bushing setup. If you're only riding stock bushings you're not getting nearly as good of performance as you could from your setup. Venom and Riptide bushings are great brands to look at for this. Is the board too big to carry or too big to turn? If it's to turn, go with softer bushings. If it's to carry then go with a smaller wheelbase and board overall. Keep in mind that wheelbase length is the _only_ deck dimension which determines turning radius, overall length doesn't affect it. Shorter wheelbase = tighter turns.
i have a pretty low landyachtz board with drop-through trucks and im always scraping the bottom of my board on the hills, is there any way to fix that?
You can top mount a drop through board and it works just fine. Just disassemble your trucks, remove the mounting hardware, then mount the baseplate to the bottom of the deck so it's not in the drop through slot.
Bring the board you are most cofident with... unless is a really low ang long LDP board that would get stuck 🤣 One day I'll try one with a surfskate, probably 😊
I really prefer the old landyachtz logo😅 Hope to see if I pulled a Golden Dinghy with my order when it arrives today. I'll mount it up and take it to the local pump track, and if I win wheels, I'll pass em out to the younger skaters. Good video with a nice explanation for the newer skaters unfamiliar with pump tracks
I'd love to try a pump track like this. All I have around me are pump tracks primarily designed for bikes with huge bumps, rough surface and pretty narrow concrete paths. Not great for beginner, already fucked up my ankle once on one of these.

Can we get a video on how to find a pump track?! All I ever find are skateparks or bmx pumptracks made from wood or dirt.
Pump tracks are a relatively new Sport. I think there are only 13 or so tracks in Canada, where this is filmed. Just Google "Pump track near me".
