yeah its definitely ego that causes humans to think they can own wild animals like pets. I think its a rare person thats stupid enough to get one out of ignorance, these people know exactly what they're getting into but think 'not me', that they know enough, or can make a bond strong enough
Every day on the road, within the city and on the Highways, I see horrid drivers and many of them are on their phones. I believe it has more to do with *selfishness* than anything else, however, I often see these selfish people also behaving stupid-ignorant-arrogant. It's dumbfounding. Even when others try and say something to these selfish people they just ignore them and continue being idiots. It's so sick and bad that over the past 4 years I have had to teach my two children to watch out for these kinds of people and get use to being alone for a long time before finding 1 decent friend. It's a hard reality to swallow, that there are so many people who are selfish, greedy, stupid and arrogant idiots, but that's the reality of the situation and the cowards walking about today scares the hell out of me. Not to mention that even I have a hard time telling the difference between anything and everything. Perhaps living like the Amish isn't such a bad idea.
No one is the exception to wild animals and their wild instincts. They do not care about the “special” bond you feel. A wild animal can turn on you in an instant.
My sister had a teacher in HS. The woman had a python she always slept next to since it was small. The snake always slept curled up. Then she told my sister’s class it was acting peculiar. The snake was sleeping length ways next to her. She took it to the vet. Vet being wise, said, “your snake isn’t being peculiar. It’s big enough that it’s sizing you up to eat you.” Once the snake is bigger than you- IT’S TIME TO EAT YOU. There’s no such this as an “affectionate hug” from your python. You have a wild animal- that is used to eating for survival. It didn’t decide because you all sat on the couch and watched a movie that it’s animal instincts are gone now. 😱🤦♀️
Well , alot of them are born in captivity so they will never be able to be set free bc they would die. They wouldnt know how to survive so they have to live in a zoo.
The #1 wasnt even her pet! Her friend called her and asked for help bringing the pet back into the house and the chimpanzee went crazy, attacking her then eating her face and hands. Poor woman. She survived and got a face transplant and still has no hands, and is also blind now. But shes fighting through it and staying positive
She had it coming, completely. Travis ate some left out Xanax (which makes humans aggressive, so you can guess how it affects chimpanzees) and got angry when the woman arrived. When his owner came outside with a butcher knife, she stabbed him four times which obviously made him more angry. They should have handled it differently, and maybe that wouldn't have happened.
Dis humans remain wild... Yall really believe humans any diff.. smh.. one day when evolution kicks in and is visible for all to see, just know the humans race in for it.
I don't know if they feel "affection" so to speak, but I definitely believe they feel familiarity and comfort around their owners. Although I would argue that some lizards, like tegus, seem to seek out genuine human interaction
I mean, literally any creature can feel affection since emotions are just different excreting chemicals inside the brain. If it has a brain then it feels things. And every animal has instincts to survive. It's how we all survive.
The evidence is certainly not on your side. There are plenty of reptiles that can have bonds with their owners much like a cat or a dog. Tegus are a great example.
Maybe not affection but my snakes have trust in me. They're socialized due to continuos handling. As long as you handle them with no negative events(dropping them, squeezing them too hard, scary erratic movements also stress them out) and they do recognize your scent and recognize you as the one who brings them food and water they will trust you. My kingsnake is like a cute little puppy dog and she's never bitten me. But affection? Maybe not but trust is beautiful as well

I remember when the last story dealing with the chimp happenned. This video only gives the basics. What happened was the Connecticut woman had the chimp on medication, had started treating the chimp like a replacement to her husband, and the chimp had grown huge, and was unmanageable. The woman had called her friend over to help because, if my memory's correct, the woman was locked in her own car. When the friend came over, she had a different hair style, which may or may not have had anything to do with the chimp's reaction since it was already being agressive. I will spare you of the gory details. But the woman did have to get surgery and was one of the few people to have had a facial transplant (with someone else's face).
@@Richie90090 I hand feed like 20 wild squirrels. Some climb on me and come in the house. One is crazy and jumps at me so fast lol. I posted it on my Instagram. They are wild but come inside to chill sometimes.
My friend dated a guy in college that was killed by his pet python. He got drunk, passed out on the couch, the python got out of his cage, saw an opportunity, and choked him to death. It's just instinct. There are some strange accounts from India of people sleeping with big pythons, but I haven't seen any reports after the 1930s...
I first learned this in middle school and still effective to this day. Dosent matter how or what age you raised a wild animal, especially a predator. Once it becomes mature, it'll turn on you out of instincts with no regard of affection or friendship for it's owner if they continue to stay with them. The stories said in here were real horrific
For the wolf dog one, when you get a more than one wolf dog or even just a dog in general you have to when introducing them make sure you don’t creating a bond between them to strong to the point that they don’t have a special bond with you
#9 was terrifying. I found the footage of villagers finding the woman's body inside the snake. And she was simply gardening, not like she was trying to provoke the snake. Unfortunate circumstances at the wrong time. 😰 Also, this should be a lesson for people to not keep wild animals. It does not matter if you raised them from infancy or been around them for a decade or more, all it takes is one wrong mistake by you or some sort of animal instinct in them and you're a goner.

The names are technically considered interchangeable in America. Not sure why we call em buffalo when they are actually bison. Should call em by what the Native Americans called them.
They were closed in a small space outside and fed with other wild animal corpses. So in a way she didn't do anything to domesticate them and she didn't even have a license. Wolfdogs are on 9th place of all dog breeds killing people but killings by dogs are not that common at all.
What all these incidents have in common is that the animals were all kept in atrocious conditions. Even if you love a wild animal their very nature requires them to be free and not in an enclosure no matter how nice it is.
Those house cat's had every right to chew on their owners! They were living in deplorable conditions! Also a hippo??? Sorry but I don't see how anyone can think that's a good idea. Forget that they will rip you apart, their weight alone is a death sentence!!
Why anyone would treat a wild animal as a pet is beyond me! No matter how and how long they “behave”…they are and will always be wild! I belong to a snake group on FB and we discuss venomous and non-venomous snakes. We can admire the non-venomous ones up close and personal but the venomous we “admire from a far”!
I thought I was the only one who thought that , glad to know I have company , I would have shouted out first to see what’s the problem , and then run as fast as I could to my kids’ room.
I'm familiar with that story. He was a complete idiot. He was a recluse and ordered those lizards illegally. He wasn't supposed to have them. He didn't even have a phone, so he could call for help. He wasn't aware that monitor lizards bite their prey, and follow them around, or wait patiently for that bacteria to work, so the prey ( in this case him) is too weak to fight back against the lizard, so they can eat it. He was so dumb that he was bragging to his co workers and showing the bite off at first, until the poison started making him more sick
I really hate to kick a person when they're dead but they shouldn't have had those animals in the first place! Stick to the normal pets! Dogs, cats, horses or birds.
What defines an animal as a “normal” pet? People with allergies to fur or like myself who are disabled cannot keep many species. Birds are highly intelligent social animals and in many cases to not adjust well to captivity.

Plus, she kept them caged. They had no where to run. Not good for that kind of breed
animals can have bad moments and days, too.
on the bear one kept in a 15' by 15' isnt that big of an area for almost any animal!
After watching this video and reading comments i only want soft toys as a pet 😅
@letitia bradin sounds interesting 😂. I am going to try it
I prefer having pet reptiles to other alternatives, but it kills me when I hear about any pet owner who doesn’t know what they are doing and get themselves or someone else hurt
I’d only accept a turtle lol-
Animal should stay in the wild. And human should stay in their side of their road. Wild animal should never be kept as a pet no matter how cute they are
I just found this channel 4 days ago and i can not stop watching your videos. All your subjects are well researched and very informative. Keep up the good work
There are mistakes in most of her videos.
Why wasn't it mentioned that they were giving Travis drugs ? He turned yes because he was drugged up

That children is why you should appreciate living in the city and having a normal life.
Normal is subjective. To me, using a wheelchair is normal.
Until u get hit in a drive-by or mass shooting, or vaporized by a nuke. Humans are scarier than any other animal.
I heard a story that a man had a bunch of rats but he forgot to feed them since he was drunk and when he woke up his rats ate his baby
😭😭😭😭do you have a link to this story I belive you I just want to read about it .?
OMG
@Alexander Freeman a rat was trying to eat my grandmother finger but a baby do you know how much crying that baby was doing and the suffering and that man didn't hear the baby 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Omg I'm worried my squirrel will eat me now.
You have a pet squirrel??
Is that to eat should food become short?
@@Richie90090 I hand feed like 20 wild squirrels. Some climb on me and come in the house. One is crazy and jumps at me so fast lol. I posted it on my Instagram. They are wild but come inside to chill sometimes.

So you never watched the movie THE BIRDS?
I love all these videos, but I subscribed simply to hear Katrina say "Bye!" at the end of each video!
Also, this should be a lesson for people to not keep wild animals. It does not matter if you raised them from infancy or been around them for a decade or more, all it takes is one wrong mistake by you or some sort of animal instinct in them and you're a goner.
I got bit by a black widow at work doing security at this warehouse facilty it was a tingling feeling in my leg and I got really nauseated ..one of the workers noticed when I got up I dropped to the ground on one knee I rolled my pants leg up and he noticed I went straight to the hospital..Reginal Palmer if it wasn't for him and his friend keeping me coherent and his friend taking off his sweater and wraping it around my leg I don't know if it helped but the doctor seen me immediately..gave me a shot 💉 I stayed in the hospital..calf leg was swollen like I had air in it..the doctors said if they didn't rush you when they did it would have been even worst perhaps not even be alive..I'm so grateful for them 5yrs ago this happen ..I have dark spots on my leg as a souvenir...I told the Dr black spots on my leg? He said you rather the black spots or your life....so I'm living with the black spots..lol
That picture of a “Buffalo” was actually a Bison. They are different animals.
I thought they were the same
The names are technically considered interchangeable in America. Not sure why we call em buffalo when they are actually bison. Should call em by what the Native Americans called them.
@@andreasimon2752 I did too so I Googled it. There is a difference.
She spent a decade raising those wolfdogs. The police questioned her for multiple decades about them. Psycic cops always know.
Just a Wee anger snack. Be smart, just have a kitten or puppy for a pet.
Dogs eat their owners too
What about people with allergies to fur, or disabilities like myself?
Cats apparently will eat their owners too.

Me to a pig: You're cute and all that, but you know if you died I'd totally eat you, right?
Pig: Same, human, same.
Everyone who is responsible, and trained, should be armed when dealing with wild animals...if not, then u have to rely on luck.
I used to play with a tame cheetah when I was a kid back in the 1960s in Kenya. It was like a big soppy dog.
I think the animal should have a gun ,😑not the human , people are the problem 😜
Key word “Wild animal” it doesn’t matter how long you’ve had training with a wild animal, just a split second and you’re out.
Dogs and cat use to be wild. With time they became tamed.
Yep. These people were idiots.
It is their fault that they have those pets
I'm happy with my three dogs . I love them but sometimes they scare the shit out of me while they stare at me .😂😂
I'm setting my guppies free asap.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Underrated comment 🤣💯
Why?
Snakes don't feel love or affection because they don't have a limbic system. They only feel safe or unsafe or satisfied or unsatisfied.
And maybe hungry or not so hungry?
verry hungry
A 15x15 steel and concrete cage for a black bear is just awful and I can understand why the poor animal attacked.
Agreed. I can't stand things like this. Having a dog on a chain tied to a tree is infuriating too.
EXACTLY.
And she fed the poor bear dog food! That pissed me off!
Why anyone would treat a wild animal as a pet is beyond me! No matter how and how long they “behave”…they are and will always be wild!
I belong to a snake group on FB and we
discuss venomous and non-venomous snakes. We can admire the non-venomous ones up close and personal but the venomous we “admire from a far”!

Monitor lizards apparently have so much bacteria in their mouth to cause infections. Too bad that guy didnt get treatment earlier.
That myth refers to Komodo Dragons, and it has been disproven.
This is why they are called WILDLIFE people...🐍💜🐍
Just curious, was the Tiger's surname Woods?
“chimp who lost his mind”?!? uhhh no, the owners of the chimp lost their mind
Hi
The chimp was drugged with Xanax and given alcohol. Abused animal.
Even cats and dogs turned aggressive sometimes how much more a wild animal can be.
I wouldn't own any of these animals just get a dog or cat
Did you somehow miss the part about the cats eating their owner?
Wild animals are labeled wild because they are meant to be left in the wild. They have mind's of their own.
All domesticated species originate from wild animals. Were they meant to stay in the wild as well?

Yeah, I’m about to clean my place now thinking about the Walden’s nasty place.
