So glad we got to come along with you on another fantastic trip! I’ve only been to Greece once but videos like this make me want to go back and jump in the water! Haha
@@agirlandherpassport we stayed at a hostel. On that same trip we went to Rhoades. I don’t remember much but that it was pretty and you could see clear over to Turkey.
I've been to Greece twice now(2021,2022) and I still haven't scratched the surface on seeing everything lol Next time I go I want to explore the islands. Holy shit a burger king!
I live here and I feel that way! There are over 200 inhabited islands so it will take some time for me to hit them all. That was kinda of my response. Kicking myself that I didn't get a chicken sandwich while I was there.
great video. I went with my wife to Patmos (flew to Samos then the same ferry you took, Dodekanisos Seaway) in September 2016 staying right where your boat docked in Grikos Bay (Patmos Aktis Suites). loved Patmos and hope to go back one day. sailing looks like a great option to see the smaller islands.
I have been to Lipsi for the 3rd time this year and it remains one of my favourite islands in the Dodekanese. Next time you are in Lipsi, don't go to Calypso for dinner but to Manolis Tastes at the back of the church. Much better with a chef that won the Gold Medal in 2019 at Mediterranean chef of the year contest.
I was with a group and the captain took us there so didn’t really explore options. Plus I would have been eating alone. However, you may be right. My food was good but the service was slow even for Greece.
@@agirlandherpassport I went once to Calypso and after waiting for 15 minutes and nobody from the staff coming to the table to take my order I just left.
Hey Tiffany! It's Marie in Tuscany, signed in on Lorenzo's account!!! I'm catching up on your videos and I absolutely loved this one! What a great way o see the Dodecanese!
2:03 it's very green because it belongs to a different geological zone. If you have only been in Cyclades you have the impression that all greek islands are dry and parched. Nice scenes.
I feel very sorry you didn’t get to see St John’s Cave. Obviously you weren’t told that there is a monastery with an awesome museum with very rare artifacts and precious religious icons. It’s quite an awesome collection and it’s the only monastery museum displayed by Google Galleries along with other museums from all over the world. Me and my sis had the great luck to be escorted by a young monk at that time to the terrace of that monastery and got to see Literally all of the island of Patmos. It was one of a lifetime experience. Hope you enjoyed the excursion. Kos is in my bucket list of islands it’s very beautiful and I think you need a whole good week to explore it completely.
I can't wait to get to Greece! I have been researching it as I hope to take a trip next and came across your videos! Sailing is on my bucket list so I hope to try and sail between some of the islands. I have no clue where to begin with my planning so thank you for all the info!!
@@agirlandherpassport Specifically Naxos, Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios. I've been watching a lot of videos...how do you choose? :). I watched one of your sailing videos. What an amazing way to see the islands. Would love to experience that!
@@agirlandherpassport As a geologist, I definitely want to see some of the archeological sites. Also do some hiking, visit some markets and eat some local food! :). But I love boating and think it would be fun to take a sail boat between a few of the islands. Trying to plan a trip next year. I just don't know if it would be best to do my own planning or do one of those trip packages as I've never been before.
Naxos would be good for hiking and some archaeological sites. You could also take a day trip to Delos while there, which you will want to do. You could do a second island if you are coming for 10 days. Santorini would be good as you could go to Akrotiri.
Thanks! I had some issues with batteries and the heat. Plus it can be hard to charge on a boat. Several stops had no shore power. I would loved for it to have been a bit longer.
Yes, it's before security... there is an escalator that goes up to the mezannine just next to the new schengen area check gates. You can also find a Flocafe there... Although I don't know if they are open at 6 in the morning! And I concur, Burger King is the best... 😛
Always directly with the charter company. My advice is to pick the islands you want to explore and then find a charter company that sails there. Look at reviews before booking.
Hi, Tiffany, before I watch this vid and before I forget, I wanted to ask how easy it is to vote as a digital/retired nomad? Okay, now off to enjoy the Dodecanese, the only one of which I've been to is Rhodes, which I is one them, isn't it?
Hi there 😊 I love watching your videos 😊 I am Italian but I was born in Turkey and spent most of my life in Turkey and a couple of years in NY. I regularly visit Chios, Lesbos and I fell in love with the islands. I visited Athens at the end of this April and loved it. I have a friend who's been living in Athens for 8 years and I want to spend more time in Athens. Do you know how an EU citizen gets the European health insurance card? Do I need to go to the municipality and register with an address and a phone number? I'd appreciate it if you can help me. Thanks in advance 🙏

I want to as well. It’s always way colder than I would like though.
11:47 - A thing I love about Greeks so inclined is their container-gardening finesse.
I have seen some nice ones here that is for sure. Working on my own now.
Hi from Kos, my favorite Island, particuraly Kefalos 💙
Hello! I didn’t make it to that part unfortunately.
Sailing in Greece…that’s the life!
It’s so great!
I went to Kos many many years ago on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Spent a few days there and relaxed.
Did you stay in the main town?
@@agirlandherpassport we stayed at a hostel. On that same trip we went to Rhoades. I don’t remember much but that it was pretty and you could see clear over to Turkey.

Very nice trip

Beautiful! What a lovely way to see the islands.

How do explain Kalymnos then? The Cyclades look tropical in comparison. Haha.

It isn't in the spam either. It happens a lot, unfortunately. I am never sure why as they let some horrible comments through and yours was not at all.

Well, lucky you, there is a Burger King in the Athens airport! They are at the mezzanine level and it even has a view of the runway.
Someone else told me that but I guess I never go up there. Is it before security? I miss Burger King.

It is pretty easy. You have to register to get the ballot by mail. Some states email them but not Texas. Rhodes is one of them!!
I wish to live in Greece someday, is it very difficult to move there?
It’s not easy. I would say it’s challenging but not difficult.
