    Sir, i want to know how to distinguish between singlet and triplet carbene? Means if in a reaction carbene is formed then which carbene will form? So that according i can decide selectivity of the product.

    sir, why carbene attacks on terminal carbon ? is it because of steric hinderance or there is some other reason ??

    Sir according to clayden and iit.... triplet carbene sp2 hybridised hoti and bond angle is 130-150🙄

    In case of triple carbene both product form cis and trans but trans will be major product

    Sir aapne kaha,triplet carbene na to sterospecific reaction dega na hi steroselective but i think alkenes ki jab addition reaction hoti hain carbene ke sath toh singlet carbene sterospecific rkn deta hain and triplet carbene stereoselective deta hain...aur apne ye bhi bola stereoselective ek product dega jo ki nai hota hain...woh do product deta hian...one is major and one is minor ....correct me if i 'm wrong...reply fast

    Sir in Triplett carbene we had considered the hybridization of central carbon , but when u draw the structure you had used the bonding with two carbon .
    M facing problem in the part , that why did we show the bonding with hydrogen cause H are attached to the carbon which is SP2 hybridized and we took the hybridization as SP and drawn that structure.🤔

    Sir... apna jo triplet carbene ka hybridization sp btya wo to wikipedia or many books(like Clayden) main to bol raha hai ki sp2 hybridization hoga jisme ek electron sp2 hybrid orbital main or ek pure p orbital main rahe ga
    Waha bola ja raha hain ki wo sp hybridization wala concept propose kia gya tha lekin wo most of the cases wo incorrect hain.
    Please help me sir...!

    You said doiterium ka saiz baraa hay!!! But ratio of radius of protium and doyteritum is 1:1. You said a wrong. H will remove for much vibration as it has less weight than D. It is explained in kinic isotope effect

    But sir i read ki triplet stereoselective hota h. "Triplet carbenes have to go through an intermediate with two unpaired electrons whereas singlet carbene canreact in a single concerted step. Due to these two modes of reactivity, reactions of singlet methylene arestereospecific whereas those of tripletmethylene are stereoselective."
