That's the lazy way of doing things. When your mechanic takes out the drill it just means he does not understand how the system works. Unless the filter is already physically broken.
@@Takutak866 this is very true. All euro 6 diesel engines need long journeys often, otherwise the DPF gets clogged. They are bad by design. But as for this Audi, it's just more junk made by Audi, but people keep falling for the premium badge.

Moral of the story - dont buy a diesel unless its a van or lorry. It has no place in a passenger car - lazy german engineering

Or just another diesel that isn't driven far or hard enough regularly. DPF's need to get hot to stop them getting clogged
