Their cyphers are pointed towards their haters so they're "flexing" a bit more but the majority of their songs are about real stuff and have deep meaning behind them so i hope you check those out too (people left great suggestions in the comments). And i would love for you to check out 'Outro: tear' it's so good and pretty emotional if you know what it's about. Great reaction btw!!!
Those songs have references of the stuff they had told to them. So it has a lot of meaning and play words , specially towards the whole idol- rapper identity crisis that suga and RM got.
@@mev9752yes you’re totally right i didn’t mean it like that cuz ofcourse there’s a lot of meaning and truth behind these cyphers. I maybe should’ve phrased my comment differently cuz i can see why you’re saying this. I appreciate your comment tho! :)
I swear I could feel ARMYs yelling “YES! Keep going!” When we heard outro:tear 💜 that feeling you felt from the crowd is how all their concerts are. It’s not even fans watching artists it’s friends finally meeting up and that includes BTS. They work hard for us and we work hard for them and when we’re physically together it’s magic so I get what you mean about the lives being different.
The cypher medley is just a combination of all of the cyphers they've done over the years. J Hope rapped his verse from Cypher 1, Suga rapped his verse from Cypher 2, RM rapped his verse from Cypher 3: Killer, and they all did cypher 4 at the end.
Love how open-minded and respectful you guys are. Definitely waiting for more bts reactions. Can't wait! Thank you for this reaction and like I said, that Korean Eminem aka suga aka agust d was sick at that time lol.
@@nehasharma-fe5gn true - but for new western reactors who will compare / relate his rap to people they are familiar to - Eminem isn’t a bad comparison. 💜
@@kimmyh2157 I don't know but i think comparisons don't let artist grow and established himself . Artist needs to shine on his own name not becoming second version or like version of someone
@@nehasharma-fe5gn I know but they're still new so don't need to be hard on them. I always watch reactions so a lot of people who are new to bts say that suga reminds them of Eminem. It is not a comparison at all. Just when they see suga, they kind of see Eminem and nothing is wrong with that. Eminem is a big legend and respected artist in hip hop industry so when someone says suga reminds them of Eminem, it is a big honor.
@@nehasharma-fe5gn I get that 100% I’m completely with you on not wanting to pigeon hole a artist esp when it’s BTS as they are sooo versatile. If they wernt so new at reacting to BTS I would be saying the same as u. So maybe my opinion is … right message and thought behind it… but maybe a bit early? Either way thank you for explaining it a little more, many would just start a argument so I’m glad we didn’t have one 💜
Actually Outro: tear ( the one that you almost listened to) is a rap line song too And it's a lot deeper than this one. Since you asked for a deeper song I highly recommend that one. Other deep rap songs: Agust d - the last, Agust d - strange feat rm from BTS. Agust d is suga from BTS (is the name that he uses on his solo work), he's the one that reminded you of Eminem. He has a lot of fire songs but a lot of them are diss tracks, if you want to hear any of them I recommend: Agust d - daechwita, or Agust d - Agust d. The other rappers of the group are RM and J-Hope, they r fire too, you should listen to RM - Joke, RM - Monster, Jhope - Chicken noodle soup feat Becky g or BTS - Boy meets evil (Jhope's solo with BTS). From the vocal line I recommend watching THE TRUTH UNTOLD - BTS LIVE
You guys should definitely react to Outro:Tear too btw. Thats a rap line song as well and is really fckin deep. The demo was written by Suga (korean eminem that u mentioned lmao) during the time the group of 7 of them were going thru a really rough time and were considering disbanding. The song isnt exactly about each other, but more like about them to their career. They kinda exploded in the west in 2017, and were not handling the pressure, of being that famous, well. (They started off from a small almost bankrupt label back in 2013) So yea, according to suga, when he played the demo for the other 6 of em, they all cried together. The other two rappers (jhope and RM) added their verses to the song after that. And this heartbreaking fire ass song was created-
And if they read this comment, hopefully they'll check out this video of outro tear ua-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/v-deo.html I personally love this stage
There is a reason why they are flexing. They had a challenging beginning in their career, they were mocked, looked down, and they are still experiencing it now. Despite being on the top in the industry, they are still grounded, charitable and humble; they are funny too. Their fan, the ARMY are protective of BTS, vice versa. They always acknowledge the ARMY, especially after receiving awards, because they know ARMY helped them to achieve their goals and dreams.
Their cyphers, especially the early ones, were clap back to all the rappers who disrespected them. RM & Suga were underground rappers prior to becoming idols. They took a lot of sh*t from those folks early on, and continue to get criticism from some of the rapper/hip hop community. In the last cypher, they are a lot less angry...more feeling sorry. This is a medley of 1-4, not the complete cyphers. Thanks for reviewing and giving us your opinion.
Yes, react to Outro: Tear. It's my favorite rap line song. It was written during a time when BTS was going through a hard time and were burnt out and were even considering disbanding.
It's your open-mindedness and honesty that's got me subscribing to you guys! Army are not crazy fanatics that only like you if you love Everything BTS... but we do enjoy watching people experience the phenonmenon that is BTS... love 'em or hate 'em., you can't deny that they put in the work! Thanks guys, keep them coming ;)
Thanks for your reaction and your honest opinion .Definitely react to tear .This song was for the time when bts was near disbanding. Tear is so emotional, poetic with a melodic rap. It's not as harsh as cypher but you'll definitely enjoy it. It would be great if you watch the color codes( lyrical video of the song) first and then go to the performance
No, not freestyling. These are established cyphers they made about 3-4 years before this concert. The difference is they picked verses from each song & put them together back to back into a medley.
It was towards their “haters” but they are totally humble! And Suga is the one that ya called Eminem! And the lightsticks all k pop groups have their own in which we hold them up in the air during their performances!
We appreciate the honesty. We genuinely do!! Coz a lot of the times, some reactors on youtube like to over react or just fake react to shit. So we appreciate people who are open minded and honest. As im saying that tho, we appreciate ppl even more when they respect the band as musicians, even if they dont particularly vibe with the music. Im not saying yall completely disrespected group, im just saying that armys can be a little protective of bts coz of the amount of unwarranted slander they recieve from people who dont give a fuck about the music but just wanna shit on them (racism, sexism, xenophobia and all that shit). Keep being candid tho! We recommend different types of music for yall to react to bcoz bts has a INSANELY wide range of music. The 3 main songwriters for the group are rappers. And two of them started as underground rappers b4 joining the group like sum 11 years ago.
They’re bragging in their raps because they’ve been looked down on for so many years. So many people hated on them for being idols. Once you see the struggles they’ve endured, you will appreciate these lyrics more.
It was braggadocious simply becuz when they started, people that were supposedly on the top put them down , embarrassed them, humiliated them and told them that they will never make it. That being said these boys are the most humble guys you will ever know. And yes it is an experience when 50,000 people in a stadium are holding those Army bombs (light sticks) being synchronized with the beats of the music. 👏
One of my all-time favorite "mental health" tracks is "Interlude: Shadow," which is just SUGA. It's a song about his young self hungering for fame, and then fighting with the dark "shadows" of loneliness and fear that came when he achieved the pinnacle. TBH, the best MVs (music videos) for the rap line's stuff will be their solo stuff. I recommend: -- RM: "Joke" (search for the one with English subs), "Seoul," and "Intro: Persona" -- j-hope: "Airplane" (not to be confused with Airplane pt. 2), "Intro: Boy Meets Evil," and his remake of "Chicken Noodle Soup" feat. Becky G -- SUGA (also as Agust D): "Agust D," "Daechwita," and as I already said, "Interlude: Shadow." (His track, "First Love," is also gorgeous and so, so personal.) As for neo-soul, the best example is vocalist V's song "Singularity," which was a break-through solo he did on their Love Yourself: Tear album. For the full vocal line, I'd recommend "House of Cards," which feels kind of The Weeknd-ish, production-wise. For this one, you can find live performances with English subs pretty easily. IMHO, a lot of my favorite BTS tracks don't have official MVs, so it can be hard to find videos of the songs, especially with accurate translations. There are a lot of "lyrics" videos, but in my experience, they're often off-track with some of the subs. Also, keep in mind that a lot of the references you may see in some of the official subs are heavily dependent on understanding Korean culture and history, so if something seems funny or weird or oddly stated, it's probably just a cultural difference kind of thing (e.g., the song "Baepsae," or "crow tit," which is a type of bird, but us westerners often get taken aback by the word "tit"). Finally, if you decide to continue on your BTS journey, as you start to dive into some of the rap line's songs, I highly, HIGHLY recommend you also check out the explanation videos for them -- ESPECIALLY those that are done by DKDKTV. They have a whole series called "Explained by a Korean..." and their videos on "DDAENG" and "UGH" are particularly helpful!
I love the cyphers because they are those rare times when BTS bragged. And they were provoked. In their entire history they haven't gone after anyone and just replied to the diss thrown at them. My favorite meaningful rap songs by them are UGH, Baepsae, Outro: Tear etc. Most songs have real deep meanings.
This seems like "in-your-face" but if you became an ARMY throughout their journey or just read all of the harships they went, all the bullshit they received from Korea and stepping globally, you will know how these lyrics mean a lot to them and for you.
CHECK THEIR ROOM LIVE NEXT!! Eminem vibe? Suga is Eminem of Kpop one of the fastest rapper of the industry! RM & Suga is underground rappers and producers even before they joined BTS. on the other hand, JHope has a little experience of rap before but learned rap after joining BTS. ALL CYPHERS ARE FOR THEIR HATERS. THAT IS LIKE WHERE THEY ANSWERS ALL OF THEIR HATERS. NICE REACTION THO. 💜
Context is everything. People who know what criticisms they’re addressing and what their history is with interviews and the underground rap scene, appreciate it a lot more.
Great reaction! The Neo soul song is Singularity. RM wrote the song and V performs it. The music video has captions so you can see the gorgeous poetic lyrics. I love Singularity. I found it shortly after I was getting into BTS, and it blew my mind that they had a song like that, definitely unexpected if you don’t know how diverse their discography is. You were right that Suga is the one who has the Rolex line, but it’s actually RM that has the Givenchy/Hugo Boss lines. The full Cyphers 2&3 have some absolutely incredible wordplay in them. The translations on this video don’t do justice to the wordplay at all. All 3 rappers also have their own solo, self produced mixtapes. J Hope has Hope World, which is about 20 minutes long. The other 2 have 2 mixtapes each. All of their mixtapes do an awesome job of showcasing their individual styles. They also all have some really deep philosophical songs on them that give us a glimpse into their mindsets and how they approach life/music. Suga goes by Agust D on his mixtapes. Both of his mixtapes are masterpieces and touch on topics like depression, capitalism, and his personal struggles. RM’s first mixtape is a classic mixtape which has him rapping over other people’s beats (such as Run the Jewels on Joke). His second mixtape is extremely different. It’s very subdued and melodic. It’s called Mono. and is about 20 minutes long. It’s super introspective.
BTS has gotten a lot of hate in the past. They've been through a lot. Their music is so self-reflective, really, is the best word to put it as. Yes, some of their tracks are pure fun and full of their flexes like they should, but A LOT of their music is very much about societal issues, mental health, love. They write a lot of songs for ARMY. They work on their own music, writing, producing. Of course they have in-house producers and writers at their company but the members themselves are very very much part of the process and have their own hand in producing and writing entire tracks. I really hope you see how meaningful their songs are in the future and I'm looking forward to ya'll getting to know them better because as a fan of music myself, they changed my perspective on what music is really about and taught me how much power music really holds. I found that their music and discography is so versatile, beautiful, fun and interesting. For every type of mood, BTS has a song. I do recommend watching an intro to BTS video. There is one called "introduction to BTS (2021 updated)" by a channel called Ida S. Please do react to it :) Of course, you can check out music before if you'd like but I think it would be nice to at least get to know the group a little before. Thank you
I second the motion 😉. Since I like being honest too, I have to say that I'm still not convinced with your reactions 🤷. Just wait until you know them a little bit more before you make a wrong assumption. My fellow Armys are right, they're answering to their haters because they've been attacked, mocked, and deeply hurt, since the beginning for no reason. Nobody liked them because they were underdogs. But they stayed true to themselves and have grown because of what they stand for and because we stand behind them. Anyway, it's ok if you don't like them. It doesn't matter, really. The sun rises for everyone, you know.
Also would like to say that bts are so humble like frl they dont flash around their money or their fame often, cyphers was nothing but a petty response and probably one of the only times they flexed
Thank you🙏💜 There are many great BTS performances, But "outro:tear" (the live version) is a must. It's one of their emotional songs. it's written by Suga, one of the members, when they were thinkning of disbanding. It's emotional. It's the song that started playing in this reaction.💜💜
'Outro Tear' is painfully awesome, it was written around the time BTS were contemplating disbandment. While the song reads like a breakup song, Suga said it was written for the members and that he had played the song for the rest of the guys and they had all cried together. BTS are a very close knit group (the guys are all practically like family) and RM, the groups leader, has said that that makes them very vulnerable in a lot of ways.
omg yesss *outro tear* next!!! it's written by them for them when they're considering to break up in 2018. thank god they're still together and stronger than ever.
ok, so basically two of them were underground rappers, and they taught another member who was an underground dancer to rap. when they left the underground they received a massive hate because the underground community in korea hates “kpop” idols and thinks that from the moment you leave the underground, you lose your essence. at first, yoongi was hesitant about debuting in a group, he just wanted to be a producer, but then after meeting the other members and getting along with them the just went for it, also considering he had namjoon, who was also from the underground. he started thinking about money, because he even wouldn't eat for lack of money, fought a lot with his parents and sacrificed a lot for music. when they debuted, they thought everything was going to be ok, but kpop fans didn't want them as they totally deviated from the kpop standard. unlike the other groups, they made songs that criticized the government, the education system, past generations that criticized teenagers and millennials and etc. and because of that, they suffered many attacks, were blacklisted by the government in korea, received death threats, were manipulated by the big kpop companies because they entered kpop in an almost bankrupt company... they created their own essence and that's why, over time, they stood out. today they are the biggest group of humanity in this generation and so far no one has managed to break the records they created besides themselves. they broke records of historical artists, but without losing the essence. thry are very humble and very proud of where they came from, even though they suffered racism and xenofobia from the international media, they built the best possible relationship between idol and fan with their fan base, BTS and ARMY.
BTS has a large fanbase because they are versatile. Every member is the main character. You can get pop, hip hop, neo soul, jazz, Latin (yes, Latin!), R&B, you want it, they have it! And yes, they are all performers, which is why their live performances will always be better.
First I just wanna say, I really appreciate you guys' honesty because you're so respectful and thoughtful in the way you go about it. It's gonna be really cool to see you learn about them and see how your opinions on them evolve. Also, I think you guys would enjoy "Bts Room Live" from their 2021 Festa, it's like a 10 minute medley of songs ranging over the course of their career. You'll get a little peak into the diversity of their discography and also hear their live rapping and vocals :) definitely subbed.
this is the kind of reactions i want to see from youtube when it comes to bts, not those who blatantly saying comments in between of watching videos. thank you for appreciating the rap line of bts. also bts albums are really the whole package, its like they are the living genres of music i hope you'll get to explore more of their music because they are really amazing musicians. im a fan of them since 2017, so thank you for respecting and speaking your opinions , take care :)
One thing that may put this in perspective in terms of the flexing is that BTS came from a small company with little money and connections in the KPOP industry. This meant that they got little airtime on shows and were looked down upon by many in the industry. RM and Suga came from the underground rap world and when they switched to becoming KPOP idols their counterparts in the underground scene laughed at them and made fun of them telling them they took the easy way out and they were girls. Much of this has been caught on camera. Despite all the hardships and odds against them they were able to make it to the top. All of the members are very humble but don't hesitate to clap back at those that put them down in the past. Army loves it and is right behind them, enthusiastically screaming for them to show the haters who the boss is now.
agree, because if one does not really check BTS background they wouldn’t understand how the Cyphers came about. It really would help if the guys react to the each of the Cyphers separately
One of the main things about kpop is the performance Idols are amazing performers and are trainee for usually years before they even have the chance to debut
I went down BTS rabbit hole during the pandemic. Their music and energy saved me. You will hear this a lot. I didn't listen to them in the beginning because I had a preconceived notion that they were just a boy band. I was so wrong and opened my mind to a whole new world of music. I have enormous respect for them first as people and also has talented musicians. When you find out their backstory and what they went through to become the number one group in the world, their music will hit differently and become personal. You can't really categorize them, because their talent is universal. This is why they are so loved all over the world. The music industry (machine) does not like BTS because they have succeeded on their own. They own their success and flexing rights because they started at the bottom and have worked so hard through the 10 years on their own. I''m 69 and have never really liked rap until BTS and now, it's my favorite genre. Listen to: RM's "Joke", Agust D's (Suga)"Daechwita", "Hageum" and "Agust D". They are all Producers and have many copyrights and also produce for other artists.
@@Katalina4064 Oh faut pas avoir peur, justement c'est sympa de voir tous les âges dans le fandom ^^ J'ai 27 ans donc je ne suis pas toute jeune non plus :)
Their cypher in my opinion is actually their journey. Their 1st cypher is like they know the hate they're receiving 2nd cypher is them acknowledging the people who look down on them 3rd is them killing those hate 4th is them moving on and saying they're tired with the same old thing and they're already done with them. Even Suga said to their haters in the last part "Please be healthy"
Please listen to the full BTS cyphers. It's soo gooddd and hyped specially when you rap along. I recommend Outro:Tear it's a play on words tear - teardrops, tear - tearing something apart. The song is about their disbandment and when Suga played it with the boys, they all cried together. The lyrics were so harsh so... just interpret it for yourself. It's literally not about heartbreak over a relationship but more about the boys and their careers.
they cover many different topics and i think as rap fans yall would LOVE “hip hop lover” where they pay homage to all the rappers that inspired them here’s a fire LIVE performance w subs: ua-cam.com/video/a_3KCRAYAFQ/v-deo.html !! outro:her is also rlly good another side of them
Daechwita by Agust D aka Suga is what got me listening to RAP. All three of the RAPline have solo songs and are all different. The light stick is called an Army Bomb. They are used at concerts and can connect via Bluetooth to the seat where you are and can flash in time with the music. They can be programmed at the concert by the organisers to spell out words using different colours. It is a beautiful sight. Thank you for such a good and honest reaction
Yes, “Outro:Tear”. The cyphers were like that, just a response to the other rappers that said they sold out to be an idol, (guy group). Also, the cyphers were at the beginning of their career. Now, their raps are different, they talk a lot about loving themselves, self aware, loving those around you, and respecting each other. Not just the raps, but also all their other songs with all members. They have so many different types of genres so their is something for everyone. Getting into the rap line in particular, they make references to certain things in their culture, that we might not understand. For those, there is a Chanel on UA-cam, DKDKTV, that explains the songs where we as foreigners wouldn’t understand. “Hiphop lover” is a song that the rappers talk about who influenced them and who they listened to, and why they love hiphop. The vocal line sings the hook, or chorus, and rare rappers do the verses. Some of my favorites are “UGH”, “Outro-Tear”, “Ddaeng”, watch the explain videos that I mention before for the first, and last song I mentioned. Those have all three rappers in it. RM, Suga, J-hope have mixtapes on sound cloud, but they also have music videos out or lyric videos out by themselves. My favorites, RM- “Do you”, “Joke”, “Persona”. Suga “AGUST D”, “AGUST D-2”, “Shadow”. J-Hope, “1verse”, “Airplane part 1”, “Ego”, “Day dream”. Vocal line has four guys, Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. My favorites of theirs is “House of cards’, “Truth untold”, “Zero-O’clock”, “Dimple”, but I don’t think you would like that one, but still good. V has the soul type vibe to his tone and music, so “Singularity”, and “Stigma” I think you would like. Jin- “Awake’, “Epiphany” Jimin- “Lie”, “Serendipity”, “Filter” Jungkook- “Euphoria”, “My Time” As a group, to many to think of. Not all their group songs as a whole are all alike, they all give you something different. Some songs I didn’t think I would like because it’s not really my style, I ended up loving because of what they bring to the music and how amazing they make it sound. “The introduction to the seven members of Bangtan: updated” is a good video to watch if you want to know about them and what they each do in the group.
Hey guys. Glad to see you reacting to BTS. Im a New Yorker also. I am ARMY AND 58 years old. I have been following them since 2017, thanks yo my daughter. These guys are the best entertainers Ive seen in a while. Their older music is 80's 90's feel and that is what I love about them. The fact that their whole thing is about loving yourself and to be happy and awareness of depression, is a beautiful thing. They have saved a lot of lives with their music. People get a better mental state when they listen to BTS. Please keep an open mind about them, they are great. Today is Suga's birthday incase you didnt know. 3/9 korea is a day ahead of the us.
This just a snippet of 4 different songs, check out each lyric mv individually. BTS has 8yrs of music all together and individual solos, welcome to the BTS Zone, enjoy!🤩👏🕺🎶🎤👑🥇🏆🌎
Great reaction!! If you wanna see more profound rap songs, I recommend: >Outro: Tear (Live performance >Strange >Respect >The Last >UGH (And the explanation!! Essential to understand properly bc there are a lot korean references) Those are my favorites :)
The song that was about to come on outro tear is crazy suga wrote that song when bts was thinking about disbanding. Check out there solo work, suga goes by Agust d check out his self track Agust d , the song what do you think the last d, Rm joke is both in English and Korea please react to that, the cyphers were a response to underground rappers dis credit them for becoming idols mic drop was the final chapter to the cyphers. React to dang , ugh hip hop lover
To appreciate Cypher you should watch some of the videos on the history of BTS , what they've gone through to get to where they are today. Their bragging/boasting comes from what they've endured. It's worth watching as many that react to BTS videos have done you'll get a better understanding 💜. After all they are the biggest entertainers in the world right now. Ty for the reaction today...much love ❤️
I love this reaction so much. Shame on me that I just saw this now. I love that you focus deeply on the lyrics that's why you vibin' to it even though you couldn't understand it. ♥️
Here are some neo-soul and R&B BTS songs i really think y’all would like: -Singularity (Solo song by vocalist member V and yes it sounds like a baby making song, no it’s not actually a baby making song it’s pretty deep) - House of Cards (A unit song consisting of all four vocalists: Jin, Jungkook, Jimin and V) - Rain - I Like it You guys should also listen to Look Here. It’s not R&B or neo-soul but it’s a very catchy song with good verses from the rappers in the group, I think y’all would enjoy that too.
YES, watch Outro: Tear live!!! I love watching BTS defy expectations for new listeners. Thank you for your reaction. An underrated rapline song is Skool Luv Affair, especially RM's verse.
It would be so good if you guys watched all the cyphers independently. The medley is super good and the energy is amazing but this one only had some verses from each one.
A few "Conscious" raps from BTS: "The Last" - Suga (performing under his solo name, Agust -D; about his depression & anxiety) "Do You" - RM solo mixtape song (don't listen to pressure/haters, just be yourself) UGH!: all three rappers; it's about internet haters that hurt ppl for no good reason and doesn't fix anything and is wasting energy on stupid stuff when there are real problems in the world that truly deserve our anger & that energy could be better spent on Interlude:Shadow: by Suga; his fear of becoming so big and how it might change him, cause a dark ugly shadow self to grow in him; how scary it can be to achieve such heights First Love: Suga solo about discovering, & rediscovering, his love of music thru his mom's piano Outro: EGO: J-Hope solo about learning to trust himself and find his own way Intro: PERSONA: RM solo about figuring out who he truly is, RM the public persona or Kim Namjoon, and reconciling the two people within him
I genuinely loved how you started the video and I genuinely appreciate your thoughts and reactions It gives me joy when more people find out about BTS and we can all relate to the feeling together
Yes, Outro: Tear live performance. The one at Wembley. They were all in black. First time a rap song made me cry. Really intense. Especially if you know Suga wrote it when they were considering breaking up the group. The other members cried when they first heard it too.
y’all should react to bts army room (2021) it’s basically a medley of songs from their debut year to 2020 and it kinda gives you a peak at the range of their discography. the video was meant to be in celebration of their anniversary (june 13th). during the month of june, they usually have concert and lots of extra fun content to celebrate their anniversary with army.
You noticed...yes Suga is an eminem fan...he has mentioned, he would like to collaborate with him so...he also collabed with juice world called "dream girl"
yes definitely react to outro tear!! watch the live version with subs :) and if you’re looking for neo soul listen to singularity! it’s a solo by V, one of the vocalists, i think House of Cards (all 4 vocalists) has a good soulful vibe too and the live version of that is soooo good too i think on youtube singularity has longer name it’s called love yourself comeback trailer singularity and the member suga goes by agust d on his solo stuff, he makes a lot of conscious music too he has a song with RM called strange, you could check out a lyric video for that if you’d like! also just to add for a little bit a of a backstory on the cyphers and bts’ more bragadocious tracks, they got a looooootttttt of hate when they were first coming up and quite literally came from nothing like it was a pretty unknown company and they used to all live in one bedroom together, and even recorded an album in a garage and people would constantly say they’d never make it so it’s pretty valid flexing imo haha
Check out 2021 Festa BTS Room Live. It is a medley of a few of their songs from 2013-2021 in 10 minutes. Gives you a a snippet of what their catalog is like. They have very diverse songs and suggest you listen to the full songs after watching the Festa Room Live. Also these cyphers were also snippets. Definitely go back and listen to the full versions of each cypher.
I love this!! it's hard because the Medley video is such a fun watch, but you have to focus on lyrics, cadence, and performance all at once. I'd love to see a lyrics reaction video for each of their cyphers where the focus is more on what they're saying. Then watching the live performances you can appreciate how much energy they have on stage. Doing them separately is definitely my advice.
Here go my 2 cents having watched your first BTS reaction. I appreciate your respectfulness while providing your opinion but we are definitely not bandwagon-ing. My husband and I both have very high standards for music while we like different genres, me more than him. We are proud ARMYs supporting their hard work, humbleness, motivation to better this world and overall talent. They are the full package and regret that I didn't like some of their music at first, ironically some of their cyphers 🫣 but I realized it was because my ears had become accustomed to other types of music, when I went back over and over I realized what I had been missing out on. Hope your ears can evolve also and you go back someday to appreciate everything. See you around, - Your NJ neighbors
I appreciate you being respectful in your explanation my NJ neighbor, but I have to somewhat disagree with you in one aspect... The idea that someone may not like something because their ears aren't yet "accustomed" to a sound. That *_could_* be the case, but it's not *_always_* the case. Just a little background, we're all children of immigrants, couple that with living in the (arguably) most culturally diverse state in the US... it's safe to say our musical diets have been fairly diverse over the years. If I had a dollar for every unfamiliar sound from a different country/era/genre that I instantly loved, I'd have a small fortune lol. *It all depends on what you vibe with* Judging from our _Singularity_ reaction, it seems we might've found ours lol. @@WM20s @WASTING MY TWENTIES not to argue with you just continuing the convo, it's funny you mention our diverse environment because that's what's surprising about a lot of reactions, not specifically you per say, but despite this fact, the barrier amongst ourselves is sometimes quite big. People to this day continue to make fun of other cultures and while we are talking about music, most people from what I have experienced tend to stay in their comfort bubble of genres and is why I say they are not accustomed to other music. Yes they may hear other music but not everyone hears it as often and clear as i think some of us need to really understand what we are hearing. If you don't like it than you don't, totally fine with that too, people are different and I'm glad you finally heard that gem 💎 👏👏👏 -still Your NJ neighbor
@@WM20s - your comment about diversity is interesting, because to me you were actually coming across like every other Western reactor. Which is understandable, because nothing like this exists in the West, and possibly the world. As you go deeper into your journey, you will understand that BTS is not just a group, it's an experience. There are music videos, live performances, stage performances (which are live in a studio), and much more. And the attention to detail is always top tier. Even the Cyphers were not made just for the sake of talking, they were detailed clapbacks specifically aimed at all the people who mocked the BTS rappers for entering the idol industry. And it is the BTS experience which makes them unlike any other band, everything has layers and there is no room for the surface thinking which permeates the Western music industry. When you are further into your journey, you might like to watch the BTS Hardships video and the Spring Day Explanation video, and just those two videos alone will show you why BTS stands head and shoulders above everybody else in the music industry today. You might also enjoy watching an explanation video or two, because it is actually impossible for a Western person to comprehend the nuances of most BTS songs without one.
Don’t worry, armys are generally open minded about BTS music not being everyone’s cup of tea. Like any other huge communities, we also have bad apples who can be rude but considering we’re millions in number, they’re probably just 1% or less. We actually appreciate honesty especially from yt reactors than all those fake ones who suck it up just for subs. All we ask for is RESPECT. It’s fine if people don’t like their songs. We just want people to take a listen before they make their judgement cause BTS is way deeper and so much more than what non-armys see and hear about them. And if they still don’t like it, it’s ok as long as they’re still respectful about it. Racist and xenophobic remarks towards BTS is usually the reason why armys get mad.
*Honesty is a top priority.* It’d be the worst to garner a community based on fake feelings, so we counteract that by just being true to us, for better or worse. Thank you for watching!
Yeah, it’s a medley. You heard Cypher 4 in full. They dealt with a lot of shit from some underground rappers... saying they sold out and that “they are girls for wearing makeup.” So the cyphers were their response to that ongoing hate. Their last cypher (the full one at the end) was on a 2018 album, so I am betting they’re mostly done with heavier flexing. They seem to be moving on to more positive messages these days, meanwhile addressing personal and societal struggles. Btw I am a more casual fan. I got into Kpop 6 years ago and one of their releases around that time is a top favorite, so I make sure to check out new releases.
Love your reaction. i have listened to the cyphers so many times and they are still awesome to this day. and yes, Outro Tear live in Wembley is fantastic as well
CYPHER is an answer to their haters during the 7 years of hard work. They come from a very small music company and they create a empire and representation of the k-pop in the whole world.
Their cyphers were mainly clapbacks towards the haters and to the other rappers and artist that said they would never make it. The last cypher they performed was like a last word towards the haters. Like when Namjoon says “you hate me but you kno my name” or when suga said “while you’re whining I’m going to keep making money” So they did flex throughout their cyphers but it was mainly towards the haters to step on them and put them in their place. Also the one that said “I don’t need Hugo, alredy a boss” was Namjoon and not suga Suga is the one that rapped really fast and jhope was the one with the bucket hat. 🖤🖤
Thanks for the honest reaction! It would be cool if you reacted to "Outro: Tear" (live+lyrics) so I'll be looking forward to it! "Outro: Tear" talks about a time when BTS was considering disbanding.
THE neo soul song is Singularity, a solo song by member V. BTS is obsessed with 90s music, which was the era of my 20s too by the way 😁
We have a reaction to Singularity coming out within the next few days

And i would love for you to check out 'Outro: tear' it's so good and pretty emotional if you know what it's about.
Great reaction btw!!!
Outro Tear LIVE*
Those songs have references of the stuff they had told to them. So it has a lot of meaning and play words , specially towards the whole idol- rapper identity crisis that suga and RM got.
So it's meaningful
@@mev9752yes you’re totally right i didn’t mean it like that cuz ofcourse there’s a lot of meaning and truth behind these cyphers. I maybe should’ve phrased my comment differently cuz i can see why you’re saying this. I appreciate your comment tho! :)
yeah we all know wha cypher mean in rap industry
I swear I could feel ARMYs yelling “YES! Keep going!” When we heard outro:tear 💜 that feeling you felt from the crowd is how all their concerts are. It’s not even fans watching artists it’s friends finally meeting up and that includes BTS. They work hard for us and we work hard for them and when we’re physically together it’s magic so I get what you mean about the lives being different.
I literally hollered, "KEEP GOING!!!" hahahahaha Why are we like this??!! LOL
I was screaming “NO NO NO NO don’t stop!!!” I was hoping they’ll go on listening 😂
YES!!!! KEEP GOING!!!!!
Ommgg!! This explanation is so accurate!! I love how you described army and bts relationship 💜
Fr
The cypher medley is just a combination of all of the cyphers they've done over the years. J Hope rapped his verse from Cypher 1, Suga rapped his verse from Cypher 2, RM rapped his verse from Cypher 3: Killer, and they all did cypher 4 at the end.
I love when people are being honest and respectful with their opinions
Love how open-minded and respectful you guys are. Definitely waiting for more bts reactions. Can't wait! Thank you for this reaction and like I said, that Korean Eminem aka suga aka agust d was sick at that time lol.
He is not Korean Eminem he is agust d
@@nehasharma-fe5gn true - but for new western reactors who will compare / relate his rap to people they are familiar to - Eminem isn’t a bad comparison. 💜
@@kimmyh2157 I don't know but i think comparisons don't let artist grow and established himself . Artist needs to shine on his own name not becoming second version or like version of someone
@@nehasharma-fe5gn I know but they're still new so don't need to be hard on them. I always watch reactions so a lot of people who are new to bts say that suga reminds them of Eminem. Either way thank you for explaining it a little more, many would just start a argument so I’m glad we didn’t have one 💜
Actually Outro: tear ( the one that you almost listened to) is a rap line song too
And it's a lot deeper than this one.
Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I'm Spanish 😂🇪🇸❤️
This!!!^^^
Outro Tear LIVE* (The live version is the best way to experience that track!)
Do not forget these songs from vocal line : House of Cards, Lie.
The lyrics to strange are SO GOOLOD
And this heartbreaking fire ass song was created-
LEGENDS💜

And if they read this comment, hopefully they'll check out this video of outro tear ua-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/v-deo.html
I personally love this stage
There is a reason why they are flexing.
They had a challenging beginning in their career, they were mocked, looked down, and they are still experiencing it now.
Despite being on the top in the industry, they are still grounded, charitable and humble; they are funny too.
Their fan, the ARMY are protective of BTS, vice versa. They always acknowledge the ARMY, especially after receiving awards, because they know ARMY helped them to achieve their goals and dreams.
BTS has best rapline in kpop.
BTS writes and produces their own songs and for other artists and commercials
For me as a 36 year old rap lover they are beyond kpop.

@@psychcyphers THANK YOU👏🏾
Their cyphers, especially the early ones, were clap back to all the rappers who disrespected them.

I also looked at Suga and went “that’s the one” when I first saw him
Been my bias since 2016 when I first found them 😭
It's your open-mindedness and honesty that's got me subscribing to you guys!
I recommend:
-- RM: "Joke" (search for the one with English subs), "Seoul," and "Intro: Persona"
-- j-hope: "Airplane" (not to be confused with Airplane pt. 2), "Intro: Boy Meets Evil," and his remake of "Chicken Noodle Soup" feat. Becky G
-- SUGA (also as Agust D): "Agust D," "Daechwita," and as I already said, "Interlude: Shadow." (His track, "First Love," is also gorgeous and so, so personal.)
As for neo-soul, the best example is vocalist V's song "Singularity," which was a break-through solo he did on their Love Yourself: Tear album.
Most songs have real deep meanings.
premiere 😭😭😭 im not patient enough
thanks for the reaction tho!! i wasn’t expecting this to be yalls next bts video but im pleasantly surprised haha
The song that was about to start is a must watch, too. "Outro Tear"
Reacting to their live performances is a good idea too.
This seems like "in-your-face" but if you became an ARMY throughout their journey or just read all of the harships they went, all the bullshit they received from Korea and stepping globally, you will know how these lyrics mean a lot to them and for you.
Outro: Tear (Live) is a must! Go for it! 💜
Love this line 12:12 "sorry but I'm going to make more money, just watch. Please make sure to stay healthy."
I could be wrong but I think this is the concert when Suga was sick. He still managed to rap... with high speed.
It’s super introspective.
yes!!! such good info

Thank you🙏💜
There are many great BTS performances, But "outro:tear" (the live version) is a must. It's one of their emotional songs. it's written by Suga, one of the members, when they were thinkning of disbanding. It's emotional. It's the song that started playing in this reaction.💜💜
bts has been beyond kpop for many years now. they write and produce the majority of their songs.
I can't wait
Thankyou 💜
Hope you enjoy it!

BTS has a large fanbase because they are versatile. Every member is the main character. You can get pop, hip hop, neo soul, jazz, Latin (yes, Latin!), R&B, you want it, they have it! And yes, they are all performers, which is why their live performances will always be better.
The the style of the man in the middle is really giving bts vibe the style owww👌

These guys are legends. They never brag about what they have or what they achieve except when they do tracks like cyphers.

Yes, Suga had a part about Rolex in Cypher pt4 but it was RM rapping "I don't need Hugo, already a boss" in Cypher pt3

The one who looked at the Rolex was Suga. The one who made the Hugo reference was RM.
2nd cypher is them acknowledging the people who look down on them
3rd is them killing those hate

I recommend Outro:Tear it's a play on words
tear - teardrops, tear - tearing something apart. The song is about their disbandment and when Suga played it with the boys, they all cried together.
The lyrics were so harsh so... just interpret it for yourself. It's literally not about heartbreak over a relationship but more about the boys and their careers.
they are beyond kpop, their foundation is hiphop & 2 of them were underground rappers, 2 of them also are underground hiphop dancers.

Jin- “Awake’, “Epiphany”
Jimin- “Lie”, “Serendipity”, “Filter”
Jungkook- “Euphoria”, “My Time”
As a group, to many to think of.
19:09 yes suga is the best for me too he seem just like doing it without any efforts😮💨
This just a snippet of 4 different songs, check out each lyric mv individually. BTS has 8yrs of music all together and individual solos, welcome to the BTS Zone, enjoy!🤩👏🕺🎶🎤👑🥇🏆🌎
Great reaction!!
If you wanna see more profound rap songs, I recommend:
>Outro: Tear (Live performance
>Strange
>Respect
>The Last
>UGH (And the explanation!! Essential to understand properly bc there are a lot korean references)
Those are my favorites :)
this guys are the best rappers in kpop, they're so real, you should listen to, tear, daechwita and ugh.
Bro i love suga too but please don't discredit RM and hobi they also have written tear.
@@nehasharma-fe5gn RM and hobi wrote their own verses but suga not only wrote his verse but the choruses as well.
@@-amel-9896 then i think you guys should not discredit namjoon in so many songs like Black swan where he even wrote the rap parts by himself too .
They're all dope and has their own style, i love it.
Here are some neo-soul and R&B BTS songs i really think y’all would like:
-Singularity (Solo song by vocalist member V and yes it sounds like a baby making song, no it’s not actually a baby making song it’s pretty deep)
- House of Cards (A unit song consisting of all four vocalists: Jin, Jungkook, Jimin and V)
- Rain
- I Like it
You guys should also listen to Look Here. It’s not R&B or neo-soul but it’s a very catchy song with good verses from the rappers in the group, I think y’all would enjoy that too.
GUYSSS OH GOD, THANK YOU FOR REACTION 💜
YES, watch Outro: Tear live!!!
I love watching BTS defy expectations for new listeners. Thank you for your reaction.
An underrated rapline song is Skool Luv Affair, especially RM's verse.
It would be so good if you guys watched all the cyphers independently. The medley is super good and the energy is amazing but this one only had some verses from each one.
Yeeeeeees!! Outro: Tear is sooo good! You should totally check it out next ~
A few "Conscious" raps from BTS:
"The Last" - Suga (performing under his solo name, Agust -D; about his depression & anxiety)
"Do You" - RM solo mixtape song (don't listen to pressure/haters, just be yourself)
UGH!: all three rappers; it's about internet haters that hurt ppl for no good reason and doesn't fix anything and is wasting energy on stupid stuff when there are real problems in the world that truly deserve our anger & that energy could be better spent on
Interlude:Shadow: by Suga; his fear of becoming so big and how it might change him, cause a dark ugly shadow self to grow in him; how scary it can be to achieve such heights
First Love: Suga solo about discovering, & rediscovering, his love of music thru his mom's piano
Outro: EGO: J-Hope solo about learning to trust himself and find his own way
Intro: PERSONA: RM solo about figuring out who he truly is, RM the public persona or Kim Namjoon, and reconciling the two people within him
I genuinely loved how you started the video and I genuinely appreciate your thoughts and reactions
It gives me joy when more people find out about BTS and we can all relate to the feeling together
You noticed...yes Suga is an eminem fan...he has mentioned, he would like to collaborate with him so...he also collabed with juice world called "dream girl"
yes definitely react to outro tear!! watch the live version with subs :) and if you’re looking for neo soul listen to singularity! it’s a solo by V, one of the vocalists, i think House of Cards (all 4 vocalists) has a good soulful vibe too and the live version of that is soooo good too
i think on youtube singularity has longer name it’s called love yourself comeback trailer singularity
and the member suga goes by agust d on his solo stuff, he makes a lot of conscious music too he has a song with RM called strange, you could check out a lyric video for that if you’d like!
also just to add for a little bit a of a backstory on the cyphers and bts’ more bragadocious tracks, they got a looooootttttt of hate when they were first coming up and quite literally came from nothing like it was a pretty unknown company and they used to all live in one bedroom together, and even recorded an album in a garage and people would constantly say they’d never make it so it’s pretty valid flexing imo haha
Omg yes please watch outro tear. It's one of my favorites from rapline.
Definitely go back and listen to the full versions of each cypher.
thanks for the reaction 💜💜💜💜
No problem thanks for watching !
I can't wait !!!!
See you around,
- Your NJ neighbors
*It all depends on what you vibe with*
Judging from our _Singularity_ reaction, it seems we might've found ours lol. That'll be coming out in a few days, so be on the lookout.
As always, thanks for tuning in, and for sharing your thoughts 🙏 - cool.hands
If you don't like it than you don't, totally fine with that too, people are different and I'm glad you finally heard that gem 💎 👏👏👏
-still Your NJ neighbor
@@djlivvy46 👏👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 i wonder if the boys ever see how much we try to explain their amazingness in such eloquence 🤧 thank you
@@soulygrz5119 - we know they definitely read the comments on social media. Which isn't always a good thing! 😂😂😅
Member V song "Stigma " and "Singularity "will blow you away for the R&B
I was hoping you'd do Outro Tear Live too, ngl I was disappointed you switched it off lol. Tear live at Wembley is fire!
Their live medleys on concert are always great.
Like when Namjoon says “you hate me but you kno my name” or when suga said “while you’re whining I’m going to keep making money”
So they did flex throughout their cyphers but it was mainly towards the haters to step on them and put them in their place.
Also the one that said “I don’t need Hugo, alredy a boss” was Namjoon and not suga
Suga is the one that rapped really fast and jhope was the one with the bucket hat.
🖤🖤
Thanks for the honest reaction! It would be cool if you reacted to "Outro: Tear" (live+lyrics) so I'll be looking forward to it! "Outro: Tear" talks about a time when BTS was considering disbanding.
