I did a long list of mods including bodywork, suspension and engine, the car basically ended up stage 3 with bigger turbo set up but was still useable for everyday though. Around 500bhp which seemed to be perfect for road and track, didn’t make it to the ring in that car as had other track cars at the time but I really miss it actually even though it’s not the nicest bmw money can buy it’s certainly a good value for money car. Unpopular opinion but I preferred it over the m4 I had, in some ways. His looks very high at the rear btw.

@ get a full set or it won’t drive right, they are around 4-500 in the uk for say eibach and it’s really one of the best subtle upgrades you can make. During cornering and performance driving, the COG moves back to the “ideal centre” of the vehicle as the arb transfer corner forces from the outer to the inner wheel, this reduces the load difference between the outer and inner cornering wheels or course and the result will be like driving on rails as they say. Have you done any other suspension upgrades because I would recommend getting a better set up with springs /shocks etc that’s a little more low too, it’ll reduce the float and you can keep it nice on the road if you spend a little more for bilstein etc.
Measuring the outside hood temps isn’t really how you determine where the vents should go. Best advice is to look at where current M-cars put vents for the straight 6.

Usually i have a hard time believing the cars make as much power as their owners state. "800hp" will look more like around 550. With this one, i'm having a really hard time believing the power is at stock levels. Having driven plenty of these, i'm pretty much willing to bet its quite some ways above 400.
Yes, a 110hp E36 doesnt need that much to be faster than this. Just an engine, transmission, diff and entire suspension/cooling/brakes. You kids are funny 😂

For the transmision you can use the G8x oil pan, it's aluminum and has cooling fins 24119504520 m3/m4 or 24119503407 X3/4/5M (bigger fins)

Just an FYI, heat measuring devices are susceptible to bad readings when you aim it at a reflective surface.
Not with that device, We measured in and out, in order to get some mapping to help us decide for the vents

Well bmw's already under rate and with a tune you could be 100hp over the stock numbers very easy.
@@triedproven9908 Yeap full stock just a map 420hp no problem. Add a downpipe, remove PF and boom 470hp. B58 is a nice engine.

Power Is stock, around 340hp… only transmission remap, perhaps xHP Flashtool stage 2 or 3… the B58 engine is no joke! 👌🏻
