Music from Australia and New Zealand: The Dugites' promo-video for the hit single 'Waiting'. This video is featured on nzoz 1981 chapter (nzoz1981). Feel free to comment.
Great song & choice for your archive Ryan. I always liked The Dugites who never got the success they deserved. I remember when I first saw this on Countdown ... 1981 was such a great year in music =)
+retroj25 Thank you retro... by the way, I like your channel a lot and have used a few of your uploads in my playlist. My nzoz channels are under maintenance at the moment and wont be back for a long time. Good quality videos will be featured. By the way, this is a clean copy.. not ripped from countdown
+OnceWasRStrathfield I knew this wasn't from Countdown ... too good a clip. As much as I liked Countdown they weren't renowned for showing complete clips. I was surprised when I went on your channels recently & noticed how many clips were missing & comments blocked. I must admit I don't blame u for having a break ... I don't upload anymore as I have less time available & there is no need as a lot of artists/labels r putting their own clips on.UA-cam has certainly come a long way since those early days!
It's amazing to think that in 1981 the Quantel Paintbox used to create this video would have cost around $150,000 and the Fairlight CMI digital synthesiser close to $10000, yet both jobs could be done today on a phone for next to nothing.
The 80s were a great time for Australian music. Absolutely love this song.
I've loved this song for forever. It made me feel amazing.
Awesome song cant believe the 80’s is forty years ago now.
