Ya, I'm sure we could all build this if we had access to a small screwdriver like that to attach the legs.
Pffft and you just KNOW some sponsor gave it to him for free.
I worked for the tools I have. That little screwdriver represents years of hard work.
@@shaunboydmadethis Haters are gonna hate. Keep doing your thing! haha
I’m not ashamed to say I have such a crush on Shaun. Such style, so charming & adorable plus his mad skills. Kudos!!!
Haha, thanks Mike! I don't think I have been called adorable in a long time, so I will take it!
I’m diggin’ that jazzy tune about 9 minutes in! Also really like the Greg works under the workbench so you can keep working above - smart use of shop space.
Really appreciate it! Glad you dug the music, thanks for watching!
Excellent !!!! By the way... you didn’t catch it but I saw Greg whip his electrical chord and knock your can of finish off the table !!!
Ah man! I knew it couldn't have been my fault! Thanks for catching that, and thanks for watching!
Don't ever stop being you. Love the slab life jokes :)
Easily my most favorite channel on UA-cam! You never disappoint Shaun! Thanks for your amazing tutorials coupled with awesome entertainment...love it!
Really, really appreciate that! Glad you enjoy my work, and thank you for the kind words!
Beautiful (monster sized!) slab, beautiful finish, and a beautiful end result as always. I am in love with the leg design, something about the angles and proportions make it look solid and elegant.
Really appreciate it! I am really happy with how the legs came out, and they were a fun challenge to figure out. Thanks for watching, Alex!
I don't know what is better - the video or the table. Both are made perfectly! Great job Shaun!
Really appreciate that! I worked hard on both, so thank you!
I love your craftsmanship, presentation and humour... Keep on going...
Really appreciate it! Thank you for watching!
Beautiful table Shaun. Love the overall design and look of the legs, they look really cool.
Thanks Scott! I am really happy with how it turned out!
I love it Shaun. The legs are SICK. Your template and jig approach to these angles and curves is so “minimalist “ (maybe not the right word) but effective. You’re an artist my friend!
Thanks Ben! I definitely try to keep things as simple (and minimal) as possible in my approach to making stuff, so I really appreciate you saying that!
Dude this is a piece that's outside of this world the legs and how they look is so dope 👌
Thank you! Glad you dig it!
I’m super impressed with the leg geometry and your process for getting it to come out so beautifully. Walnut is by far my favorite wood species. The way that grain turned almost blonde at the edges was gorgeous. I don’t think you can click on something faster than when I see your new video uploaded.
Thank you! I always love figuring out new geometry and the best way to make it happen. And yes, walnut is such a beautiful material, especially in a large slab like this, so much color!
Kudos to Frank Lloyd Wright
Any sweet project! Love the content, keep it rolling rolling rolling! Can’t wait for next project
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Nice design on the legs.
Thank you!
Excellent job bro.
Thanks man!
Beautiful table!!
Really appreciate it!
Beautiful table Shaun!
Thanks Jolien!
Miss this channel.
Friggin' sweet man. Slab tops are soo common, but your leg design sets this one apart... Keep on, keepin' on Shaun.
Really appreciate it! I dig hearing stuff like that!
Wonderful design Shawn... And for the record - I enjoy the couplet at the end of each video.
Thank you! Glad you like my endings, I always have fun coming up with them!
Another awesome job Shaun! Love the music too!
Right on, glad you dig it! Thanks Johnny!
Another great video by Greg. He's been a huge addition for the channel. The human did a good job also. Nice work Shaun. I love the design of the base.
Haha yeah, Greg is really making up for the plethora of human error that I produce! Thanks for watching, David!
Gorgeous table and great video!
Thanks Clint!

It's a good way to live! Thank you!

Thank you!
Wow, that so beautiful, that’s how I want my walnut and maple L shape desk to come out.
Thank you! Pieces like this really just let the wood speak for itself, it is hard to go wrong!
First video of your I've seen. You have a new subscriber.
Really appreciate it! Thanks for following along!

Thanks Matt! I am happy with how it came out!
NICE WORK!!
Thank you!
Yeah the vid was OK but really came here to say that the pop of that concrete with Maker Brand finish is astounding!!!
Lol, seriously though, fantastic project and channel is good as ever. You have a guaranteed watch from me every time.
Haha, it is the nicest looking spot in my shop now. Thanks Brandon, really appreciate it!
Gorgeous work as always. Freehanding the bow inlay with the router was impressive.
Thank you! I don't do bowties often, but it is always fun to exercise those skills.
@@shaunboydmadethis You're welcome, thanks for the videos. Do you ever use the jasper jigs or do you just like to go at it freehand?
@@seanmcd6245 Never used them, just always done it freehand. Might have to check them out!
Absolutely love your channel. I’ll never not watch. Also, nice little rep of the PNW with the Woodinville Whisky shirt. Dig.
Right on! Thanks for watching!
Shawn, thank you for the clip of spilled finish. That happened to me a few weeks ago, and I got quite irritable.
Now I think you have given me a better perspective on such mishaps.
Also, nice work, as always.
Glad it could help! I was trying to look on the bright side. Thanks for watching, Alan!
Lovely looking table 👍🥃🏴
Really appreciate it!
Your work is always so amazing and you make it look so easy aha I wish my work turned out as good, very nice
Thank you! Video editing helps to make it look easy, but I really appreciate that!
Your delivery is like James Bond's martinis, dry af. Kudos. It works.
Haha, thanks! I also prefer to be shaken and not stirred.
@@shaunboydmadethis Proper.
Greg, you nailed it, man! Tell Shaun he always brings the comic relief. He's f*ing hilarious! 😂
Thanks, Eric! I always tell Shaun he needs to spend less time on his jokes and more time helping me get stuff done. From, Greg
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Awesome piece (as always), and very, very enjoyable video (as always too)!
Thank you (as always), really appreciate it!
All bout that Slab .. bout that slab.. bout that Slab 🎵🎶... As always ..awesome build!!.. You the man!
My favorite song. Really appreciate it, thanks for watching!
Dude.. now I want to make furniture.. Jonathan has me cutting dovetails in everything I make.. Now I need to find this Greg you speak of (without going into debt) figure out a cheaper alternative for domino's.. Maybe reach into my retirement fund to get a Saw Stop.. and make a live edge table! No being sarcastic at all.. I love the video, the build process, and how you use the angle jig, templates, and table saw for making your legs! Super inspired.. now I just gotta check the bank account :D
For sure! I went a long time making similar looking furniture with an old Delta contractor saw and using dowels instead of dominos, and Greg wasn't even a glimmer in my eye yet. But having the tools definitely makes it more enjoyable! Good luck with it!
Looks awesome my man!
Thanks man!
So good! You crack me up, Shaun.
Haha, glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
You know someone is good when they make it look easy.Well done! Another inspirational video. The day you hit 100k subscribers I’m opening a bottle of champagne. You deserve it!
Thanks Ennis! Really appreciate it! I'll pop a bottle, as well.
Gorgeous!! Fun video...thanks for sharing!
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Just perfect

I like your ninja roll off the table
Haha, ninja is being generous, but thank you!
Nice design Shaun...!
Thanks Shawn!
Love the Woodinville Whiskey shirt, man. I also love that you're using Maker Brand. Awesome stuff!
Thanks man! Both are great products!
Awesome film. Great story telling. Beautiful project. Mahalo! : )

@@shaunboydmadethis You are welcome my friend. Thanks again!
INCREDIBLE..!!! Love this table, makes me want to go hunt down a slab...

Haha! The slab life is a good way to live! Thanks for watching!
loved it. and funny to boot
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
i love the contrast (traditionnal and modern) between the top and the legs...awesome..you agree with me Greg ?.....krrrrr...bzzzz....that's mean yessssssssssssssss
Thank you! It was fun to mix the styles, and I am happy with the outcome. Greg agrees!
Gotta respect a man who maintains a clean crack..
No truer words have been spoken.
Great job!! PS : The dentist scene hurts!!!
Thank you! Yeah, I flinched a bit every time I watched it back while editing.
Awesome
Thanks!
Hey Shaun, great stuff, sure we would have more of your furniture if we lived a little closer.
Steve & Mary
Thank you! I am happy I could get at least one piece to you!
the puns are the best part!!!!
Great video bro but I need to get on that slab life!
Thanks man! You have to start living that slab life!
Slabylous. Good one
Thank you!
Hey Shaun, I agree with many of the comments... it's all about the legs... beautiful and smart as usual. The Shaun Boyd intellect is what keeps me engaged. Thanks!
Really appreciate it! It was fun to mix the clean, modern legs with the natural, live edge top. Thanks for watching!
See through epoxy? 😲 as Always your build quality And your videography is superb!
Haha, I was very happy that they didn't ask for bright blue epoxy or something! Thanks for watching, Ned!
Dude, great work. I'm a tough critic but you nailed it. Congrats on getting that job by the way. Always so awesome when someone will pay you to build something you would likely build for free just for the process lol
Really appreciate it! Yeah, it is always nice when I can take a paid job and also make an interesting video out of it.
Nice project ! I like the leg design ! Just waou ! I prefer Your furniture project than the others because I'm big fan ... no offense ! Lot of good vibes from reunion island !
Thank you! Really appreciate it!
welcome / shaun
I am very impressed with the work you do because I am a natural wood lover
First I love to know about myself my name is Hisham from Egypt and always follow your work
But unfortunately since I'm poor I can't buy equipment
I find myself onlookers
My greetings
Thank you, Hisham! I really appreciate it!
About time. You had me Jonesing.
Haha, I had to take a week off to get this one done! Thanks for watching!
Very nice !!!
I love the design of your legs.
....I speak about the table's legs... ;o)
I love the legs man. You lost me a little with the building process of them but it looks awesome.
Really appreciate it! Sorry I lost ya in there, they are a little tricky.
That is one great looking drill block u used there 👍🏼😂
Haha, only the highest of quality in my shop!
Shaun Boyd Lol, if ever really wanna know bout that slab life, holler at me. I’m from Houston 😝
Those legs are super rad.
Thank you! I am stoked with how they came out!
You must have great lighting in your shop. I have trouble seeing a pencil line on Walnut. I always have to use a white (or light colored) pencil. Recently I just bought a pack of Crayola colored pencils.
That is one of those things where I always think, I need to remember to get white pencils next time I am at the store, then never do.
Honestly I'm glad you find clients for a 5k$+ table
Me too, I would be sleeping in my car otherwise.
Awesome Shaun! Please could you do a video on how you designed the table in Fusion 360?
Thanks Michael! I did a video a couple months ago about designing a credenza in Fusion that might help. But as I get better with Fusion, I might put together another video in the future.
Nice build Shaun! Those legs are sweet!
Thank you! I'm really happy with how they turned out!
Table turned out great! Love the leg design. Where’d you get the threaded inserts and bit to drive them in? I’ve never had great luck with them.
Thank you! Yeah, threaded inserts can be tricky, I got these from McMaster-Carr.
Sweet 👍
Thank you!
Love your vids, very inspiring. Wondering about the structural integrity of the legs. If it is possible to build that without a domino cutter.
BTW: when are you going to post a coupon code for the festool domino cutter!
Thanks! You could definitely build these with something besides a domino. Dowels would work, or even running screws down through the miters from the top and bottom would do, and they would never be seen.
And I wish I had a coupon code for the domino, but I don't think Festool likes to discount their tools very often, unfortunately.
What up Shaun it’s Matt morgantini, just came across your videos from my moms suggestion. Dude almost 100k subs and a vid over a million views that’s epic, iv been asked to make some vids about my bike repairs ect and was wondering what cameras you use and most important how do you edit? O and that shop is amazing great vid definitely inspireing me to try the you tube thing
Hey Matt, thanks for finding me on here! I use a Canon 77D and a couple lenses, so nothing too fancy. I actually also shoot some stuff on my phone when needed. Then I edit everything with Adobe Premiere, which has a bit of a learning curve, but it is a great program. Good luck with it, man!
Beautiful as always! Are you worried about wood movement between the top and the legs over time?
Thank you! I'm not too worried. The holes in the legs that the bolts go through are oversized, so there should be plenty of room for movement over time.
