Greece was the first one who send their help to Turkey in 1999 and Turkey responded with the same way during the Greek earthquake in September of 1999.

Even if he was my enemy, in this situation, I would have helped that person by sacrificing my own life to save him from that situation, and that's exactly what it is now, actually Greece is not our enemy and it is a story of brotherhood displayed here and I fell on my knees in this painting and helped the Turkish people there. As a Greek myself I see that in a disaster the Greeks will always reach out their hand to help and support people that need help. Its in their DNA to never turn their head even if there is a history of conflict between Greece & Turkey. For the Greeks it was a natural reaction for human life regardless of nationality. Maybe one day when the current politicians of turkey have left, things will be the way they should be between these countries.
As a Greek, I’m proud that in difficult times we prove that we have a HUGE HEART!
Gerco-Turkish relations are today at the worst possible point ever, but in difficult times you must put aside all differences and focus on what matters the most.
Humanitarian aid, human lives saving, and pain relief is what matters now!
I hope this to be a good lesson for some nationalistic Turks and some Turkish media, that were happy about our dead…
I hope this also to be a good lesson for the Turkish officials, that they completely ignored the “Code of Honor” that we both had on deadly military accidents.
Just 1 week ago, on 30/01/2023, 2 young Greek pilots died when their F4 was crashed in the Ionian Sea, but surprisingly the Turkish jets not only kept on violating the Greek airspace the following days, but ALL of them were also fully armed, for the first time in history!

Believe me, things like this does also Greece military. And believe me, Türkiye would help also Greece if there is a earthquake or something like that. @@urktklirk9770 you are being injust here brother. Maybe the way he expresses it is wrong, but it really dishonored you that you mocked the death of 2 young guys just because they were army pilots. It is not political. It lacks grace. There is no need to defend a mistake, you surely recognise the lack of grace. I know this because I do too, when my media does similar stuff.
