    You speak Italian very beautifully! You should also speak Hungarian?
    I love Italy so much, it is the first country I went abroad to, and it is like my second hometown!
    You can speak five languages. You are such a genius. I envy you so much!

    A majority of people in Luxembourg are still luxembourgish, but obviously in the city most people are foreign. If you go to the countryside you'll see practically everyone is actually luxembourgish.

    I guess you still need to work on your English because a polyglot is someone who speaks multiple languages, but not necessarily 5 or more than 5. Sometimes your Italian seems to be more Spanish - el instead of il, other errors. You meet someone from Bengal and you start using Urdu and Hindi words for some reason, and India does not have "like 30" languages: 22 official, 122 major languages with 19,500 dialects. Wanting to learn languages is great, but you've got to keep learning and refining the languages that you have already learnt.

    • @Davidsbeenhere
      @Davidsbeenhere  10 місяців тому

      3 is trilingual.. true ployglots are fluent in 5. My native tongue is Spanish, English in school, Italian i learned when i was in college and went to Italy 5 summers in a row to live iwth my cousins. I barely speak it now but when I interact with Italians it floats back in. I am also an Italian citizen. Of course this is a life long process. Appreciate your comment!

    • @kjgomes
      @kjgomes 10 місяців тому

      @@Davidsbeenhere Thank you for your reply! You are right that 3 is trilingual, but generally, more than 3 would be polyglot. I could find no definition online that stated it had to be 5, but only one that said it had to be more than 5. Anyway, the definition is unimportant. But keeping them up is a life long process for sure. I learned French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Croatian in university (the first 3 up to the intermediate level), and can understand Hindi/Urdu and Konkani - 2 Indian languages, and can also understand a lot of Italian and am familiar with some of the grammar. Another definition question of course is the word "fluent". Many language teachers I have seen online say that fluent is about the B2 level - it does not require native level fluency, but it does mean being able to speak, read and write with ease on relatively any subject matter! Anyway, I wish you luck on your further travels and your future language endeavours!

    • @dws49
      @dws49 10 місяців тому +1

      @@Davidsbeenhere poly literally means several. So by definition 3 languages is polyglot, so is 4, so is 5, so is 9. You don't magically become a polyglot at 5.

    • @publicminx
      @publicminx 9 місяців тому

      'poly' is old Greek and means 'many'. the best definition of a polyglot was 3+ languages since knowing 1 languages is not many and two languages is more like bilingual and 'many' does not really fit with just 2 languages ...

    @david can you explain what makes Luxemburg the richest country, is it because the wealthiest people from around the world live in Luxemburg or is it that Luxemburg has great amounts of natural resources ?
    I can tell you this, I live in Trinidad we have crude oil and natural gas. The Petrotrin Refinery had existed for 100 years and it was closed in the year 2018 and it is estimated that the Refinery made about $1 trillion dollars in the 100 years of operation but all the money was stolen by Government Ministers and their Contractor friends and that is the reason Trinidad has so much poverty and crime. Recently a Canadian Company name TOUCHSTONE EXPLORATION discovered over 1 Trillion cubic feet of Natural Gas in Trinidad but Trinidad citizens never get any royalty money because the Government Ministers and Politicians steal all the money.
    I even heard Guyana has Crude Oil but I heard exxon mobil has bribed and brainwashed the Guyana Government and Guyanese Citizens does not receive any royalty money, exxon mobil is looting Guyana.

  • @giladodol-ix7fo
    @giladodol-ix7fo 5 місяців тому

    Is this really the richest nation in the world? Judging by its city landscape and transportation mode, it seems worse than Japan and the Asian Tigers. Additionally, the people don't have the affluent appearance you would expect, and the food looks unimpressive. I have mentioned before that GDP or GDP per capita is not a perfect measurement of a nation's prosperity. Even a city like Singapore, which claims to be the best not only among the Asian Tigers but also in Asia, is far from being a utopia. In fact, many people complain about it being boring, hot, humid, and expensive. This brings me to my next point: why doesn't a wealthy nation like Luxembourg have any Disney or Universal Studios, or any tourist theme parks or public entertainment centers? Throughout the year, except for public holidays, the government or local public institutions could afford to take a loss, hoping that during public holidays, they would recoup all the losses.

    Where is the wealth ? I don't see it in the street ! It's only for the EU and corrupted politician & it's also a good country for tax heaven ... plus all the people that only work in luxembourg and don't live there ...and to your information there are many countries in europe that speak more than 3 languages . It s the official language and does not mean eveyrone speak them !
