I can’t stand how Milwaukee PD calls out why they are in pursuit multiple times throughout. After the 3rd time it should be clear they are in pursuit with the car for whatever the reason may be.

If they had implemented a PIT maneuver early on, the horrendous accident wouldn't have happened! If he hadn't crashed what were they going to do, follow him all day? They had lots of opportunities to take him out early.

In addition to other charges, anyone fleeing from the police who exceeds the speed limit or hits _anything_ should be sentenced to 2 years in prison - no parole. 2nd offense, 5 years in prison - no parole, permanent revocation of driving license within the US. 3rd offense, life in prison - no parole. Prisons are made to prevent civilized human beings from being victimized by dangerous people. Use them as intended.
Agree, mandatory sentence if speeds are excessive and the chase more than a few minutes. Arkansas now makes it a felony if the driver goes over the limit during the chase. I am sure that the Wisconsin liberal leftist court system will tell the driver he was a naughty naughty boy and then release him back out in to the streets to do more carnage within hours if not a few days..

They are basically asking for a crash every time they chase and don’t pit. They need to pit as soon as possible or just don’t do anything at all. There’s nothing worse than pursing and letting them drive like morons the whole time until they hit someone.
Every dept has a pursuit policy. The one I worked for hardly let us use the siren let alone chase bad guys. And radio etiquette was strictly enforced, had to keep the channel open & say as little as possible, in an effort to keep the public unaware of crime.
This officer communicated with dispatch effectively and laboriously. His pursuit of the perp was exceptionally dilettante and indefatigable too, incredibly commendable.
Charger + aggressive approach + PIT = earlier intervention, reduced risk of crashes. Difficult task on these roads but certainly achievable. I think everything there is to say about the radio-jamming comms has already been said 1000 times in these Incident Response videos. It's always nice to hear that no innocent folk were injured, but the felon needs to pay restitution for the property damage -- every last cent. Make'em work with a ball and chain.

What a laborious task, repeating every 10 to 15 seconds all the same info, over and over and over. Color, make and model, as though the crims might give it an on-the-fly paint job. Reason for the pursuit, as though the instigating impetus is gonna change any moment. It's almost like a test, to verify the pursuing cops aren't suffering some short term memory defect, or that they haven't got lost or distracted, and started chasing someone else, like a dog after a squirrel. It seems a bit insulting to me. And it had better not be expected if the cop is by himself; that could lead to a bit of task overload when fractions of a second make a huge difference to reaction times.
The driver drives, the passenger broadcasts. Usually, once a secondary squad joins, that squads passenger will broadcast, leaving the primary squad to focus on the pursuit.
1st- absolutely a phenomenal job with driving and being aware of surroundings. Not falling into the TunnelVisionZone! 2nd- why did half the police cars/vehicles not have their lights on? 3rd- many ppl say he did a great job with radio, however I would say too much talking. Only need to provide on a continuous basis the direction of travel, speed and traffic conditions. Maybe it’s their departmental policy to say the reason for the chase after EVERY SINGLE TRANSMISSION and surface conditions after EVERY OTHER TRANSMISSION but that’s the 2 things that rarely ever change. If it does Hapn to change (like traffic conditions) then give that update. Due to the nature of the original crime, it’s unlikely that the pursuit would get terminated by a supervisor, however if by chance a supervisor wanted to terminate the pursuit, they couldn’t because these officers laid on the mic button whereas it left little room for ANYONE to get on the radio. For instance, the officer that laid the spike strips probably couldn’t even get on to say his location and that he was deploying spike strips. (IMO) But again, great job driving and being aware of lights/stop signs and entering intersections with due caution

One thing I’ll point out… The lead car had the chance to end it early with a TVI! When the Jeep was making the turn at a slow speed he had the opportunity! Every damn officer needs to be TVI/PIT certified. That way these accidents don’t happen!

Milwaukee needs to get more drivers and cruisers certified for PIT.

The officer who was updating on where the pursuit was going and given location of said position, great work on his part.
I do have to note though, just listening to him talk so fast and long makes it feel like I lost all the air in my lungs lol

That officers call outs were impeccable.
I got the message it was a jeep cherokee wanted for armed robbery and car jacking after the second tome he mentioned it. Cripes he mentioned it every 10 seconds..
With all the police cars and no stop sticks.

MPD rides 2 man units. 1 drives the other mans the computer radio and lights and siren
MPD are really great pursuers. Give them chargers and carpe blanch to TVI and these chases wont last 18 seconds let alone minutes.

One thing I’ll point out… The lead car had the chance to end it early with a TVI! When the Jeep was making the turn at a slow speed he had the opportunity! Every damn officer needs to be TVI/PIT certified. That way these accidents don’t happen!
