This is one if my favourite song by him. I was fortunate to see him live a few months before he passed. This is perhaps one of the closest rendition to him ever. Many have the voice and moves but lack the pure passion. This performer has that passion

I was lucky enough to see him recently in Scunthorpe Baths Hall 🥰 he is absolutely fantastic.
Everything about him is 100% Elvis.

I like Ben and eerily when you see Ben from the side he looks a bit like Elvis, no-one will ever come close to Elvis,his look and his voice as he was a unique guy Elvis was.
There are loads of Elvis tribute artists and I think it's okay because they keeping Elvis's memory alive, they all love Elvis a lot. And plenty of people go and see them, I've seen a couple of them and to me they have to be really good.
And if ya go in and ya like wanting to see someone who is exactly like him but there can't be ever !!!!

I totally agree. I have been flying to different countries just to see Ben since 2014. Covid has put a stop to that at the moment. I am going to Ireland in April 2022 to see Ben. Four shows

Yep, this guy is by far the best impersonator of Elvis. Hands-down. I'd love to see some young Elvis performances, but maybe I just haven't found them yet.

Ben Portsmouth is one of the best if not the best Elvis Presley tribute artist I have ever seen without a doubt and I seen plenty. What most people don't understand is the work that goes into something like this not just for Ben but for all professional tribute artists. Watching hours and hours of video over and over trying to imitate every move every sound and every facial expression of your idol and then getting the costumes just right then rehearsal after rehearsal it's all down to fine art being dedicated.

It's kind of funny because I just can't get past thinking about how much time and effort goes into this type of work. Even down to the captain behaving the same as Elvis's did! I started imitating Elvis when I was 2 years old in the sixties and was ridiculed by my oldest sister who became a Jehovah's Witness. The only way I was not shy is when I was on stage performing Elvis in talent shows. It was kind of funny because I didn't speak a word of English aside from the Elvis songs! I have to say I am super impressed with the female drummer in this band.

Elvis was such a wonderful entertainer, he brought so much happiness to so many people through his music all his life, even on the night he died he was in preparation to go on the road again to entertain his fans, they loved him and he loved them. That alone says a lot about the man Elvis was. I was fortunate enough to see Mr. Portsmouth preform last weekend in GA in the USA, like Elvis he gives one hundred and fifty percent to his audience. He was even kind enough to join his fans at a small little Pizza place after the show and sing a beautiful song for everyone. That too says a lot about him. So often we hear people who really didn't know Elvis or what he was about say, all he did was screw women and get stoned, but as Ben proves over and over on stage with his magnificent renditions of the beautiful songs that Elvis did, he was so much more then that. He sang this song on his sixty eight special, a new song, sung by a Southern born and raised man about changing the world and equality and part of the reason he chose the song was to use his fame to spread the message, that was a time period when the civil rights movement was going on in America, Elvis broke Colonel Parkers strict rule about not doing any song that was political or potentially controversial. This special was his come back, he risked his whole career by singing that song. Think about that. Now we have this hunk in his image carrying on the message. Go Ben, we love you, see you in Memphis. Hopefully not too tired or crabby. :)
Hi Debra. Thank you so much for your response to my video of Ben, singing Elvis' best message song ever. I totally agree with all that you have said about Elvis and our wonderful Ben. The 68 Come Back Special that Elvis did was the best show he ever did. If I can Dream was written purposely for that show for Elvis to sing at the end of his show. I was lucky enough to see Ben not once but twice and yes, he is a wonderful man and we are so lucky to have Ben who gets on stage to bring Elvis "alive". I see he had a great show in Georgia.......Ben gives 100% plus when he performs. Lucky you to be going to Memphis...I have to wait for Ben to come back to our shores next year. Have fun in Memphis

I didn't know that about the song...a magnificent song..and Ben knocks it out the park.
That is not real Elvis never say that and I don't trust all of this and Elvis Presley is real or this comment is bullshit and no one can't beat real Elvis Presley and he is the king the one only I have and Ben can't do anything about love himself or treat the real king and Ben so much like stealing some how much much like Elvis and that is actually obsessed with Elvis Presley even Shawn klush that so jealous of him and people so crush on Shawn and who is the lying one never trust himself as Elvis and that really embarrassed of Elvis Presley and so disgusting man pertray Elvis in the movie who die in the bathroom with a lot of drugs.
unfortunately I can't see anywhere that Ben is scheduled to perform in America in the near future. I love watching and listening to him. I would think he would be in the USA a lot more since this is Elvis Presley Land. I live in Nashville, TN not far from Memphis and would love for him to return to this area soon!!!!
Ben has got some schedules show for the USA....He just did the Elvis Birthday cruise in January, leaving from Florida

Despite the trolling by a certain Diane (something), Ben Portsmouth is without doubt the best EP tribute out there. While it's true there are act out there that are more of a Pantomime about EP and just make fun and light of the man (I've made comment on this elsewhere), Ben is a respectful incredible performer and fan. It is astounding how good this man is. It annoys me how many people say they are fans and yet they stalk these videos just to troll and push peoples buttons - they are cowards and assholes, hiding behind a keyboard. MegaNaiomi... good job mate!

Ben Portsmouth is far superior to him and it shows....Ben has fans flying from all over the world to go see him, can Chris boast such a following. I think not!! And anothe thing.
