I can see Clarke and Cox getting some off-season work together. They have the chemistry from the one season at LSU. Hell if Parsons works out with them too it can help them get better.
I’ve been saying to shift parsons into coverage more and play regular linebacker . Idk if it’s just me but seeing him week after week in interviews he looks banged up and tired as heck throughout the season, these last games he ain’t been the same rushing. He still causes a lot of havoc tho against offenses.
It's probably going to be difficult to not use Parsons on the edge a lot for this season because the cornerbacks have been depleted and Armstrong and D-Law banged up. Next season though, they need to get him back to playing more linebacker and roaming around more when rushing the passer. It would also help if we ever got a upper tier DT on this team.
Parsons has been slowed by injuries this season, and playing him at olb more and de less will help his career immensely. Get some fatguys upfront to keep oline fatguys off him so he can eat as much as a lion 🦁 needs to eat. Can't really give much commentary on jabril Cox simply because he's not done anything so far. Maybe next year he'll show up at the party and we'll get to properly evaluate him to see what we have.
@@claytonlockhart5649 The plan was for Brillo to sit and learn this year, but injuries and exhaustion have caused him to get more reps, which is fine by me. I believe if we went with a base package of Clark, Parsons, Cox, we could use the big nickle package as a change of pace. All 3 LBs are sub 4 4 and 2 of them have experience covering TEs and RBs. Even in man against 12 or 13 personnel, we could cover it adequately against the run and pass

Obviously I'm not a coach or there everyday. I really thought Jabril showed up last yr when given the opportunity. He did lay the hit on Danny dimes that stopped a TD and knocked the QB out of the game. He seemed to wash through the trash on the line and not get tangled up. Looks to know his assignment and good tackler filling the gap or in pass drop. Hopefully another off-season in the weights and training camp Jabril and Damone will be lighting up the NFL.
It usually takes a full season to get back from most major surgeries involving ACL/MCL, etc. Even Gallup will be better in the 2023 season. So much of it is mental and trusting the repaired area again to be your old self.
Dan Quinn gone have to come with it in the playoffs that stuntin with Defensive Ends ain't working they to light you need them big boys to eat up the center in the guards so the Ends can get 1 on 1's.

Parsons getting beat up in the trenches is a problem. Much better as a situational pass rusher not every down. 1 sack in the last 5 games. Teams are chipping him regularly, and getting the ball out quicker. The injuries to our secondary definitely have a role to play as well. 100% agree we should see Sam on the field more.
They need to start Sam Williams and rotate him and Dorance Armstrong and put Parsons back at his original position and let him blitz from the linebacker position and utilize his speed and stay fresh
Von Miller 6-3 249 lbs, Tj watt 6-4 251 lbs, Micah Parsons 6-3 245 lbs. Virtually the same size. So whatever their defensive coaches have been doing over the length of their careers can be duplicated.

Fully agree. Frankly, not too terribly complex a case study for knowledgeable students of the game. So here's my question as you've just been forced to completely lay all your cards out on the table regarding player execution, Mike McCarthy execution as HC, Dan Quinn execution as DQ & JJ/SJ Ownership Execution and your best estimate on how hard they are putting their foot down on Mike as HC who then handles Dan as DQ regarding the extreme fall off in production of Micah Parsons since he has moved to full-time pass rush DE? Comparing his time post transition to his tape pre-move in his about as unstoppable as one could ask of any player much less a rookie and second year pro as our off-ball MLB who blitzed via any potential gap, or edge, as called ad hoc by the then most valuable Def Coordinator in ALL of FOOTBALL, be it NFL, NCAA or World Cup in Quatar: Dan Quinn. I was such a proponent of Quinn that short of a super bowl ring and even then I was fully prepared to make a rational, valid and persuasive argument that Dan Quinn should simply be made happy. If that means he wants to make stupid millions more than any other coordinator in football because he doesn't want head coach stress & likely short lifespan...as in Dallas he's found his team, his town, his players, his organization and his opportunity. If so, thank the heavens and get it done yesterday. If Mike McCarthy isn't potentially quite as slow as this fan believes him to actually be... and he sees Dan Quinn as THE threat... IT WOULD HAVE TO BE PREDICATED UPON Dan Quinn actually wanting to be a NFL HC again. Does Dan Quinn likely have his mind made up on this life changing decision at this point in time? Perhaps. Would Mike McCarthy be as slow as I believe him to be if he were to come upon a decision, either way, given there's no way for him to actually know for sure? Yes. Of, course. What are your thoughts that McCarthy is sabotaging Dan Quinn and forcing him to implement defensive strategic changes that seem out of character for Quinn? Or, that Quinn is indeed doing a fine job of simply making the wrong decisions stemming from the best intentions as he wants to either Lock up a Dallas DC or HC future? As it's a given that the Joneses are not doing anything to make life easier for the coaches or players, only a degree of difficulty... What does this likely collective 2022 Dallas Cowboys puzzle look like?
I believe any STATEMENT that has: Do you believe MM is deliberately sabotaging DQ's scheme is ludicrous 🙄 The "MAIN" Goal of all is #6 🏆 That is the ""Only" way to secure ALL of their futures, bcos without that the Payton whispers will begin again, or another to replace Big MM who I have no problem with, and in fact I believe allows DQ that side of the ball with none or at least very little interference.
