    Of course this is a simplified summary; there's a lot more to it so feel free to add in the comments!👇🏻

    I remember a very old Cinefex issue talking about T stop lenses and how they emitted parallel bundles of light.

    I do exclusively photography but I really want a cine lens as I love shooting with lenses with character

      I do it too sometimes, looks great. Even anamorphic lenses look great for photos imo 💯🔥

    Weirdly I think, I prefer to use cinema lens for photos because I want my photos look like still images from movies.

    Would a cine lens work well for astro / night time landscape?

      @miepic3291 3 місяці тому +3

      Yes but look up their quality and reviews first, the rokinon 135 is a cine lens iirc and it’s very popular for astro

    Cine lenses are cool but what I really prefer are vintage lenses
    Sooo much character and imperfections and can cover full frame sensors like the Helios 44-2 or the new and improved Petzval 55mm 1.7 lens that has adjustable distortion settings that controls the intensity of the bokeh and its swirl
    Love vintage lenses 😍

    T-stop and F-stop Are exactly the same, for cinema lenses we say T-stop so as not to confuse with the focal length which is also noted F

    • @JorisHermans
      @JorisHermans  Місяць тому +5

      No, T-stop, or transmission stop refers to the actual amount of light that passes througha lens and reaches the sensor. This is different from an F-stop, which is a theoretical value calculated based on the diameter of the lens aperture.
