This is, BY FAR, the most insane rune haul I've ever seen. Not only that but in fewer runs than anything I've seen before it. I too, have been playing for almost 20 years, and you found more High runes in these runs than I have ever found in totality. Incredible.
Bro, you gotta be either overestimating how much you've actually played, or play much slower than you think, or you've played mostly before 2010 (in 1.13 the rune drops were increased something like 8x). Statistically speaking, the drops we see in this video are nothing out of the ordinary. Here are the numbers I just looked up, for p5 Arcane, Ghosts (I didn't calculate for p7 as I farm p5 myself): Vex - 1:82k Ohm: 1:78k Lo: 1:117k Sur: 1:105k Ber: 1:158k Jah: 1:141k Cham: 1:212k considering that there's around 110-150 Ghosts per Arcane Sanctuary run (let's say 150 as it's a nice round number, and you'll inevitably kill some other mobs as well), at 1000 runs, you would - on average - expect 2 Vex, 2 Ohm, 1-2 Lo, 1-2 Sur, 1 Ber, 1 Jah, and 0-1 Cham. That's quite close to the 12 HRs we see in this video -- and even though I took a high estimate on the number of ghosts per run, remember that I'm using p5 numbers, and the video shows runs on p7. I have been playing D2R for about a year at this point, with still less than 1k hours in total playtime so far. I have found -- *excluding* LK superchests -- 2 Cham, 5 Jah, 4 Ber, 5 Sur, 2 Lo, 4 Ohm, and 4 Vex. The only thing I got particularly lucky on were the Jahs. So what am I doing differently than you? Am I running around just being super-lucky all the time? Do I use modded drop tables? No, I just spend my time farming *efficiently*. If you, like many, farm with a build like a summon-druid, you're gonna be around 4-5x slower than a standard Sorc, Paladin w/ Enigma, WW Trav Horker (using Grief), and so on. So it's gonna take you 4k hours, to farm that many HRs, instead of the

Nice drops man! I do believe it honestly, statistically speaking the ghosts are gonna drop them and with higher player count it really makes a difference. I just started farming arcane before i saw this video and found a vex, sur, and Lo within 50 runs or so. Keep it up and thanks for the motivation!

Great videos man. Was playing hardcore on my Necro last night. Found 2x Lo runes in about a 2 hour period farming cows. Probably one of my best hauls in such a short period of time.

Your luck is crazy congrats. Btw P1: 62.5% for nodrop to roll, P7 single player: 14.29% to roll nodrop. So from 100 drop P1 drops 38 item, P7 drops 86 items, It's not 50% difference. But yeah, you have to keep the Player settings where it doesn't slow you down significantly. P3 is a big jump from P1 to reduce norop.
I think the odds might vary in different areas? I am pretty sure that P7 is 0% no drop. I get max drops doing travincal at P7 every run. I forget where I got my data...
I wish they made arcane a lvl 85 area instead of tombs…arcane has always been my favorite area throughout the entire franchise..I’m glad u can least get HRs there
I haven't had a gaming PC for about 10 years now. I plan on buying one a month or 2 before D4 comes out. However I've been playing D2R on Xbox Series X and I'm still blown away they still haven't made console able to up player count while online.
I started playing D2R on a 2017 iMac running Windows on Bootcamp. It was a NIGHTMARE. The Ancients animation while being released caused a force close everytime. I got my first gaming computer in April and love it. I just picked up a mid level HP Omen but only play D2R on it.
Just for reference, if you clear all of Arcane in 4.5 min, 1000 runs would be 75 hours of playtime. If you play 5 hours a week, you're looking at almost 4 months of PURELY running Arcane and having ridiculous luck in order to get these drops. This is why HR farming is insane in D2R. On ladder, I farmed Trav for roughly 40 hours to get my Enigma, because I was able to trade charms, and other drops to get there. I also got 3x Sur, Lo, 2x Ohm, 2x Vex which is amazing luck. This game cannot be played casually if you hope to build any of the S tier end game builds. Your best bet IMO is to farm torches with a budget Ubers build, and farm keys with your main MFer if on ladder. I think one could then get to end game gear far faster.
Based on math done by other diablo nerds, I believe that arcane sanctuary and seal popping chaos are the two best places to farm for high runes (outsideof LK chest popping on single player but that's cheesy and mind numbing). I usually go the chaos route since I am also looking for TC87 drops, but shoot i might have to give arcane a try too. Especially because hate keys are usually the most coveted by mid-late ladder season. This is an awesome drop vid-- Approximately how long did it take you? Also have you tried out a nova sorc since 2.4 dropped? The little bit of arcane farming I did with nova felt way better than any other build I've run it with before. Just seems way easier to make kills over the pathway with nova even compared to lightning.
No I havent tried nova since 2.4. That sounds like a fun effective way to clear Specters. I really don't know how long this took. I would estimate around 50 hours but I worked on this video along side others. Travincal runs might be the most profitable for battle.net players but its SOOO boring lol. I did chaos a bunch for TC87/runes as well but havent had much luck there. Earlier this year I found 2x griffons from Nihlathak on bnet just farming keys solo. I farmed hundreds and hundreds of keys

Once found a Jah from a devilkin in Forgotten Tower level 5. I was zoned out, drunk and ready for bed and just started clicking randomly. I NEVER go to the armor rack areas in the 5th lvl of the tower lol. I recently read somewhere that someone else found a jah from a devilkin in the 5th lvl of the tower off to the side. Each lvl deeper into The Forgotten Tower raises the monster level +2.

Going from p1 to p3 is the greatest jump in drops by far. I would try p3 and if it takes you 3 lightning bolts to kill Specters then I would switch to P1. if single player just put the player settings at 7/8 and go for lower kurast runs is most like your best bet, but this option with arcane sanc seems a bit more game involved though so for more fun i would go arcane at p3 or higher if u still 1/2 shot the mobs on p5 or p7

I use OBS too and my quality looked like shit and the colors didnt pop till i switched OBS to record in 4k. For most people youtube will still downscale to 1080p especially on mobile but youtube's downscaled 1080p looks much better than recording in 1080p. I dont know why but that's my experience with recording D2R with OBS. Just need to be sure that your game/Windows is running at 4k.

@@howto4u77 if you compare my old videos to the new ones with blue titles you should be able to see the difference. I switched to 4k when I adobted blue thumbnail titles as my theme. The D2R quality change is huge! I noticed other people record D2R in 1080p and it looks better than mine does in 1080p and I can't explain that.

2:38 - You hit the nail on the head. If you spend 10 minutes on one run at p7 and you kill 100 monsters you could get BETTER odds if you can do 10 runs in 10 minutes at p1 because you’re killing 1000 monsters.
Currently working on 1000 players 1 pit runs with my hammerdin. 1/10th of the way in and only a lem to show for it 😅😂. Though i did find some nice situational gear for my lld barb
I came here to say that Im still playing till today the classic game D2 LOD server US west however in my entire play, I have never had a chance to get any high Rune ever since 2001 -2023 because I dont do this runs for long time lol.
Theres a guy on youtube who did some extensive research on this place, he came to the conclusion that you should be getting a high rune (think he said vex and up?) about every 50 runs. It's interesting to see that it looks to be about right from this video. I think his username is Dark something but I can't remeber. Ive been running this a lot too and it seems to be pretty good, although LK is still better but vastly more boring in my opinion. I'm also picking up all small and grand charms, I've found so many good ones. Its usually about 3-5 charms per run.
Is this on singleplayer or online? Still looking for that Jah rune on singleplayer, been playing on players 7 for quite some time now, not a single high rune :(
No, sorry. These were super lucky results. The only difference between p1 and p7 is the number of items that drop. Not the quality. 50% more items is about the most extra that can drop from p7. Usually less than 50% from my experience counting items from council members who can drop a max of 3 items each. 11 council members means 33 drops max. The data I've read matches up with the results I've seen. Good luck!
This is Single Player Player/8 likely. No terror zone marked. Meaning, he gets all the benefits of extra drop rate from player 8. Even then, impressive.
It was players7 settings. Only P3, P5 and P7 increase drops. But yes i decreased my chance of a no drop from about 35% to 0%. It doesnt make a phenomenal difference but it is noticeable.
I got really lucky with those Arcane runs. If you are playing single player with P7 settings and an awesome map and you can do P7 at lower kurast with 20-25 second runs then that is probably the better bet.
Specters is one type of fingermage. There are other types like at chaos sanctuary and elsewhere. They all are good for runes. There might be specters in the forgotten tower actually.

@@BTHDreamer haha yeah I try to focus on speed more than perfection. It took me a long time to realize the value in speed. Its more effective than higher player count, which is why P1 or P3 is usually best because enemies life goes up 100% from P1 to P3 but the no drop rate goes from 35% to 10% approximately. Don't quote me on that. Ive had most of my best finds on P1 with max speed. I spent years thinking I needed to farm in full games without having a clue.
I had the same conclusion during 1000 travincal runs. It's a lot better to farm P1, because it's a lot faster. And the drop rates, for HRs, are not a lot better p1-p7. For HRs only I don't care, it's much better to farm on P1.
In the travincal each high council members can drop up to 3 items if they don't hit a no-drop on any of the 3 rolls. There are 11 council members so that means 33 drops is the max. I found P5 usually gives max drops. I did notice an increase in runes from bumping up from P1 settings but it didnt take my hammerdin any longer so it was worth it.
@@BlakesSpace86 I farm trav with a barb. There's a HUGE difference in the speed I kill them in P1-P5. With chars that can do P8 I prefer to farm Chaos and WSC. 😅

Odds of a Jah get 3X better on players 7 vs 1. It’s not a small change

@@howto4u77 if you compare my old videos to the new ones with blue titles you should be able to see the difference. I switched to 4k when I adobted blue thumbnail titles as my theme. The D2R quality change is huge! I noticed other people record D2R in 1080p and it looks better than mine does in 1080p and I can't explain that.

2:38 - You hit the nail on the head. If you spend 10 minutes on one run at p7 and you kill 100 monsters you could get BETTER odds if you can do 10 runs in 10 minutes at p1 because you’re killing 1000 monsters.
I've found 2 Jah, 3 Ist+ skillers (Combat Paladin, 2x Martial arts, Cold skills) in AS this league. Not a SINGLE time was it terrorzied

Currently working on 1000 players 1 pit runs with my hammerdin. 1/10th of the way in and only a lem to show for it 😅😂. Though i did find some nice situational gear for my lld barb

I came here to say that Im still playing till today the classic game D2 LOD server US west however in my entire play, I have never had a chance to get any high Rune ever since 2001 -2023 because I dont do this runs for long time lol.

Both Sanctuary. Atc5 a1 and throne. - bcs of zod only if you want if not then both sanctuary. ( You can add frozenstein if you are fast and skilled )

Theres a guy on youtube who did some extensive research on this place, he came to the conclusion that you should be getting a high rune (think he said vex and up?) about every 50 runs. It's interesting to see that it looks to be about right from this video. I think his username is Dark something but I can't remeber. Ive been running this a lot too and it seems to be pretty good, although LK is still better but vastly more boring in my opinion. I'm also picking up all small and grand charms, I've found so many good ones. Its usually about 3-5 charms per run.

No, sorry. These were super lucky results. The only difference between p1 and p7 is the number of items that drop. Not the quality. 50% more items is about the most extra that can drop from p7. Usually less than 50% from my experience counting items from council members who can drop a max of 3 items each. 11 council members means 33 drops max. The data I've read matches up with the results I've seen. Good luck!

Haven't heard that one. I highly doubt it.
This is Single Player Player/8 likely. No terror zone marked. Meaning, he gets all the benefits of extra drop rate from player 8. Even then, impressive.
It was players7 settings. Only P3, P5 and P7 increase drops. But yes i decreased my chance of a no drop from about 35% to 0%. It doesnt make a phenomenal difference but it is noticeable.
From your experience would you say that Arcane Sanctuary or Lower Kurast is better to farm for high runes?
I got really lucky with those Arcane runs. If you are playing single player with P7 settings and an awesome map and you can do P7 at lower kurast with 20-25 second runs then that is probably the better bet.
Arcane has better gear / rune drops.

Specters is one type of fingermage. There are other types like at chaos sanctuary and elsewhere. They all are good for runes. There might be specters in the forgotten tower actually.

I can't remember anymore. I think it took around 70 hours but don't quote me.
@@BlakesSpace86 dang bro you are fast. I take about 8 - 9 minutes per run. I'm just working on getting to 100 runs right now and even that is taking a long time haha 😅😅
@@BTHDreamer haha yeah I try to focus on speed more than perfection. It took me a long time to realize the value in speed. Its more effective than higher player count, which is why P1 or P3 is usually best because enemies life goes up 100% from P1 to P3 but the no drop rate goes from 35% to 10% approximately. Don't quote me on that. Ive had most of my best finds on P1 with max speed. I spent years thinking I needed to farm in full games without having a clue.

I had the same conclusion during 1000 travincal runs. It's a lot better to farm P1, because it's a lot faster. And the drop rates, for HRs, are not a lot better p1-p7.
For HRs only I don't care, it's much better to farm on P1.
In the travincal each high council members can drop up to 3 items if they don't hit a no-drop on any of the 3 rolls. There are 11 council members so that means 33 drops is the max. I found P5 usually gives max drops. I did notice an increase in runes from bumping up from P1 settings but it didnt take my hammerdin any longer so it was worth it.
Also each of the 11 council member has the exact same rune odds.
@@BlakesSpace86 I farm trav with a barb. There's a HUGE difference in the speed I kill them in P1-P5. With chars that can do P8 I prefer to farm Chaos and WSC. 😅
@@BudaFZ Hammerdin with 2 Dwarf Stars(fire absorb) is wicked against high council. I am not overly experienced with Barbs though.

Cham is the highest you can find in Arcane. I guess Zod drops are possible in Terrorized Arcane.
