This sounds godly
Holy shit, can’t believe Wes Hauch commented here.
I'll be getting a Jupiter 6 soon! You shred!
The holy grail of oldschool metal tone. Really Love it!
This absolutely why I stay off forums. Love the vids
thanks for watching! appreciate the comment!
I find most people on forums are rude morons who don't know what they hell their talking about. They want to lecture me about how wrong I am for preferring DiMarzio to Duncan or Marshall to Randall. Well, I've been playing guitar almost forty years. I do have the right to my own opinion. But you get these nasty lizards that just want to dog on anyone with a difference of opinion. Waste of time. I'll spend my time playing music.
So you’re telling me there’s no boost, screamer, clean boost etc on this at all? This sounds incredible. Seriously dude, holy fuck.
no boosts.
Everytime I come back to this video I can never understand how you were able to get the master up to 9! Sounds ferocious
This is exactly what you want a guitar tone to be. Sits perfectly in a mix with bass and drums.
appreciate that, seems to be the most difficult thing for some to grasp.
RezaMatix I think many of us learn it the hard way. I know I did.
Be sure that people that understand what you're doing love your channel ! You might be the only one i know about on YT that translate an idea of the feel those amps deliver. I consider your channel as gold, here since 2010.
Means alot man! thank you! I really do this for you guys!
It’s quite entertaining the comments people have made without consideration for the equipment they’re hearing the video on, it’s settings, or the fact that most of the current videos are played through the same speakers often. Which will inevitably impart the exact same characteristics overall regardless of the amplifier, serving the purpose of allowing those of us that understand what you’re doing to actually hear the differences in the amplifiers.
Seriously you make the best videos . When some says they don’t like the tones you get I know I will not like their idea of tone lol
Wow ! Now I see why everyone goes crazy for those amps! C2++ Is amazing
Mid 1980's goodness, that no JCM800 & a Tube Screamer could touch. Besides all the other tones you could tweak out from it.
I don't know the context of those forum (?) comments. This head here sounds amazing and playing is very, very solid. Chugs are tight and you're pretty much locked in tempo. This video shows really good articulation (IMO). I listen to it over and over again. Sounds killer!
thanks for checking it out, the comments just underscore the hatred people have when they are jealous or triggered.
Reza you have the best tones and your playing is so good!!! Love your Videos , keep on!♥
Thank you so much!
I’ve formed so many good relationships on both sides of this BUT for you to do this with that particular amp HAHA, very calculated. I appreciate a good sense of humor.
thanks for watching!. I didn't know there was "sides" lol.
The Mark 2 C++ was the last amp in the Mark line that made it easy to dial in high gain with clarity. The string separation is better than through the Mark III, IV or V. I did NOT like the Rectos, but samples I've heard of the Badlander are more impressive. Around '89 or so I bought a 50 Cal + Combo, which I would play for six or seven years. Great amp. The reason I chose it over a Mark III was because it retained higher levels of clarity and had a spongier sounding loud end than the boxer Mark III. It was also substantially lighter, not just in weight but in price. I prefered the sound of the Mesa Black Widow Celestion to the EV in the Mark III, which I found kind of boxy, although they are great speakers. If I remember, the 50 was about $700-$800 at the time, and the Mark III was about $2,000 and just not worth it.
Not quite the last :) The Quad is the same, so easy to dial in on either the IIC+ or III chanels. I had a Mark IV, I could never get that sounding right.
Otherworldly tone and very nice playing. I'll have to be content with my IV. Thanks for posting.
Sickest demos, best amps and guitars out there, best channel for killer gear🤘 nice playing
well thanks alot man! I appreciate that. Im far from the best anything, but its gear fun to be shared!
It's so funny that an amp testing channel has haters. FWIW your tones and playing are always top notch. Awesome content!
the absurdity of it all. thanks for watching mate!
Thank you for an awesome video with great tone and chops!!!
I enjoy watching vids like this then reading some lengthy explanation on forum. Focus on the love brotha!
look at this comment section bro. Is there any lack of love here?
Sounds amazing man. We appreciate your demos.
thx man, appreciate you!
Just that opening note ringing out says a lot. Love my Mark amps🤘🏼
OMG...I am cracking the f@$K up!...
Seriously though, Reza- you captured it’s KILLER tone!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Incredible playing and video!
Nice! 2C++ is the holy grail of amps.
What a beast of a tone...awesome stuff man, and great playing!
I really enjoy your demos and playthroughs. I think your tone and taste in amps are great!!!
Wow. The harmonic richness is off the charts.
Good luck solid state amp users!
My god. This and your diezel VH4 Demo have to be your best tones. Holy hell
I'm a subscriber and fan. I love the video's not only for the playing, but to check out gear, I've actually made purchases because of your video's! And had mods done to amps as well. So you've gotten people some business because of your channel. So thank you. And to the haters? Where are your video's? And you can go fuc...wait that's not very nice. Oh you can kiss my as..no no. There's got to be a polite way to put it? Ah yes!! As a fan of this channel (as well as the kick ass playing) I would like to invite all the haters to slowly and calmly, step forward one by one, that's good. Now get down, doing great so far, and now you may apply suction to my genital area. There we go. Very polite and professional👍🤘🤘.
Ohhhh , so this is it !? First and only demo of one of these that sounds worthy of the legend , well done
thats high praise! wow. thanks. I would check out my buddy Blake's videos as well. He did an incredible job on his C+ - ua-cam.com/video/5qWri-bq9jk/v-deo.html
Every video of yours makes me want to tune to Drop D and write thrash metal riffs. Crushing tones, as always.
The problem with these haters is that they probably never heard how micd amp sounds in the studio, outside of the mix. These are imho mix ready tones for some heavy quad tracked riffage. And yeah, you can have your own taste in sound, but you cant diss a guy who has probably the best demos of boutique amps on YT just for not liking his sounds...
thank you for this excellent comment. appreciate that.
Ikr? Like could you imagine these riffs quad tracked like this? Shit would literally crush 99% of metal album tones out there. People just aren't used to hearing isolated tracks.
Thanks for reminding me why I only visit Rig-Talk for the classifieds.
Sounds absolutely crushing!!! I think this amp sounds even better than the 2c+!!
Beautiful!!!
Best amp tones on UA-cam as usual...
This is crazy sounding, you found a gem
Best sounding MARK on UA-cam.
I LOVE the old Mk amps - and you made this one sizzle just right!
My first taste of truly good amp tone was when I picked up a used Mesa Boogie Quad preamp in the mid nineties. I loved the preamp, but sadly had to sell it to fund my Diezel VH4s (which I still have). The last couple of years I have been looking for another one...but they are sadly rare as hens teeth in my neck of the woods... your video just intensified my search!
thanks for checking it out! i love old Diezel VH4's too!
Thx Rez, that clip in the midst of skullcrushery was EPIC ! Mad Wall of Balls right there \m/
Sounds like "and justice for all" tone.
Great demo Reza 🔥
Lol. These haters when Reza is one of the few guys who doesnt have shit tone. Maybe they think you have flubby low end because your tone isnt ultra modern nothing-but-high-mids djent tone?
lol. its all in fun. those guys can say whatever they want. I just thought it would be creative to have their input here.
@@RezaMatix it definitely was funny reading them because it made THEM look stupid not you, brilliant
Sounds absolutely killer!
Dude.... your tones sound KILLER!
hey thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to listen.
I had one of the original factory built C++ and sold like 8 years ago. Talk about huge sellers remorse : ( ... Glad I was able to get another original c+ last week a mark III no stripe with the same 105 transformer which after modding at Mesa to a Mrk3++ may sound better than c++. We'll see.
Great riffing brother! That was fun,
Cool Amp and Demo! Thanks for sharing Reza and Be Well All!
Man... i just love your video and the fact that you add others sh....t opinion :))))
the best amp ever. thank you for the video 👌
Killer amp. Killer riffs. Thanks!
what a tone!!! just got a mark iv a month ago, and OMG just fucking love it!!!
I really want of those too! congrats!
Yep, that's the sound. Its glorious.
Whooooooa... never heard a Mark V or JP Sig Mark V model grind, and grit it’s teeth like this! That’s some phenomenal overdrive right there. Cheers from Australia 🍻
Really dig your amp demos. Btw I just subscribed to your channel
thank you!
awesome sound, awesome head!
Best electric guitar tone I've ever heard, it doesn't get better than this, honestly. Quick question, what were your settings here? As the EQ looks like it's out, which isn't what I'm hearing. Are those really the settings you used here in the video?
eq is in. those are the settings you hear.
@RezaMatix awesome 👌 I'll try it out on my mark III, might be a little different but I'm hard pressed to hear a difference between a IIC++ and my Mark III, lucky me I guess 😁 Where was your presence set?
That tone sounds so f'in angry. I love angry!! Did not expect that tone coming from that.
Dangerous tones.
Everyone is going to have different taste in tones, however, at no point have I heard a shit tone on your vids. Keep on rocking Reza 🤘🏻
I completely agree. All of these ludacris comments about you and your playing have absolutely nothing to do with how the amp sounds. The only scenario where I could see that train of thought even being applicable is when a clear and true novice is playing, like we're talking about someone who has been playing for a month or two, otherwise, it just sounds like petulance and jealousy.
And to be honest, I am extremely jealous of quite a few amps that you've demoed and kind of want to know what amps you own but I kind of don't too, I love amps, and don't make enough money.
@@taylorwyatt333 im down to 7 amps! Friedman Custom 50, Wizard MTL Mk2, Bogner Custom Uber, Amplified Nation Ampliphonix & Gain, Bogner 3534 , Gower Marshall and this Mesa!
@@RezaMatix ok you're just showing off ya jerk. If only I had the money
Awesome! I would love to see you demo the JP2C and Mark V amps.
already have, they are on this channel ;)
@@RezaMatix what is your favorite Mesa boogie amp ?
@@GuitarsAndSynths HRG
Chuggalicious!!! Wow! Congratulations. Score!!
Damn that thing rips and tears
This amp simply sounds glorious. End of story. I dream of having a JP2C, one day
i've had 2! great amp!
@@RezaMatix always loved the roaring sound of a Mesa Boogie
Lol those hater obviously don’t know that it sounds like this raw without any post mix to it
Sounding great man!
Damn, Sounds great. I got to this one too late on the forum and was bummed. If you ever decide to get rid of it please let me know.
always open to offers. :)
I´ve got a Mark IV and a SLO. Incredible machines ¡¡¡¡ Comparison between your SLO and this?
I like this better.
There will always be jealous assholes. Always, no matter what. I think your demos are freakin amazing and this amp sounds godly. So punchy and tight as it gets!
lol. You know they're haters when they're finding a way to hate on Reza. Literally one of the only channels that is nothing but straight god tier tones without any BS.
This is absolutely awesome!!! Thanks for the upload, and fuck the haters!
The amps, the tones, the playing - this is why I subbed a long time ago :)
lol the comments in the video are classic. People can't appreciate you making videos.
Why you switched to the camera mic while paying those sweeeet chords tho? Smh.. Killer as always btw haha
Amazing amp! Sounds insane
Perfection- fuck the haters
That sound is so monstrous! Good shit like always.
Sounds amazing man. Keep up the good work. What kind of arcane pick ups did you use for this video?
Alnico 8 13k
fuck the haters..man your tones are awesome, i love you riffs and your style to record. stay strong!!
thank you bro. Appreciate that very much!
Awesome! Reason why this amp was not readily available!
it was readily available in 1984 :) thanks for watching!
RezaMatix oh I inquired about this amp! I live in Los Angeles, I couldn’t find one anywhere, and most places didn’t know about it, the Mesa/Boogie store on Sunset Blvd opened in 85-86, they no longer made it then, they totally pushed the MKlll amps then
Sounds great.
Beast tone!!!!!!
RezaMatix sounds great. Rectoverb 25 video please 🙂
Man, the foul stench of envy wafting off of those forum posts from the people dragging you… it’s overwhelming.
it's pretty funny tho.
DEM RIG TALK COMMENTS. I'm glad my YT channel never blew up with popularity. Low key flying under the haters' radar. Just enough good will with the Kemper crowd to toss em some profiles and slip back into the shadows. Edit: 2C sounds savage. My Studio preamp doesn't get enough love... mainly because I can either get a big huge clean sound or a big ripping lead sound but not both because of how those 2 channels mesh together. I'd have sold it by now if it weren't a sentimental piece. 1989 new old stock. Brand new when I bought it. Used only once to power on to ensure it worked and then put in a road case and sold to me.
thanks for checking it out! those guys are just trolls, wanted to give them a little
tribute.
Awesome!
those chunkie chugs hnngggg
Bet those tones all sound badass in a mix tho. Great tones and videos.
thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I appreciate it!
Instant Puppets tone!
No surprise that you and this amp sound fantastic. But I gotta give a shout out to those Celestion Alnico Creams, I didn't expect them to be such a great speaker for high gain. Of course the classic Mark Series Boogie speaker pairing would be an EVM 12L.. but these Alnico Creams sound killer! Such cool stuff on your channel, bro :) Keep em' coming, and forget the haters \^^/
cheers, thank you for watching. i have to try some EVM 12L's very soon. are they bright?
@@RezaMatix They can be very dark at lower volume… at 200 watts they need to be hit with some serious power before they open up and reveal their voice. But they are monstrous speakers for high gain. I recently posted an EV shootout on my channel you can check out, give you a better idea (admittedly my production skills are not at your level). I personally love the EVM 12S, it has a bit more mid presence than the 12L. I have a pair of Tone Tubby Nashville Alnicos in my Mark V Combo and pine 1x12 ext cab (oval open back) that I am very pleased with. Bright and sparkly, but still full bodied. In my setup they're better for cleans than high gain, but that has more to do with the open back cabs. At 75 watts, and based on what I’m hearing here, they are almost the missing link between the Alnico Gold and Alnico Cream… as if you combined the two into one speaker.
@@gradythegray will go listen now! thanks for the tip.
F the haters!!
cheers bro!
Rawness agression... can’t sound better than this!!!
Man, I really do wonder the situation one must be in to let go of a Mesa, especially a mark series. I own a Mark IV and I ain’t ever selling it! Great Riffing Bro, Awesome tones as well! Going to try and dial in something similar 🤘
Awesome. I want to buy it. 😬
OK, I get it now. Wow.
yea...its something right?
you should also do the butthurt of the week.
What a sound! Fucking badass, man!
sux to be those guys..obviously not hearing what the rest of us are...keep on kickn arse Reza!!
Can you tell me your full settings ? It sounds great!
How come it's so bright when the high freq sliders are dipped?
presence control in the back of the amp brings SO much brightness and top end harmonics out.
@@RezaMatix what did you set the brightness to?
Thaymz not sure exactly, just turned it all the way down and slowly brought it up till it sounded good.
Sounds great. I run a Mark IV and Simul-Satellite to two 4x12 Boogie half-back cabs with an Empress Echosystem to get a truly amazing stereo setup. It's really all I'll ever need, but damn that IIC+ is one raw mofo. Would love to own one.
wow. your setup sounds like it would be life changing!!
Man, you are doing great work. Don't bring this forum shit to your mind(and to vids). Just ignore, don't waste your energy. Cheers from Russia.
thank you sir! it was just a joke for one time. those guys cant stop talking about me, I figured they should get a little tribute for fun. Not planning on bringing any more of that here. they dont deserve it.
I liked the switch to room sound! The 57 on axis does come out a little sharp without being in a mix .. I'm not a recording wiz but maybe a bit more room or air wouldn't be so bad? Idk. I'm subbed and enjoy your vids either way!
I could fake it with some reverb in post...interesting idea.
@@RezaMatix or could just move the mics for an alternate take (extra work I guess) or maybe get a good room mic and blend it or pan it for part of the vid (like you did with the cam mic in this vid) just to help give an idea of the character? Sry idk.
MackTheKnifeSlowly great suggestion. i'll do that next time.
