About the game:
Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Game Science. It is inspired by the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. It is scheduled to release worldwide for PlayStation 5 and Windows on August 20, 2024, with an Xbox Series X/S version slated for a later date.
Seriously this girl plays the game a lot better than many "professional" game streamers. I've seen streamers rage quit on Wukong.

Erlang is very rebellious himself. He’s technically a Demi god because his the nephew of the jade emperor. The jade emperors sister was bored in the celestial court and ventured down to the mortal realm and met erlang’s father where they had him. Because it’s against celestial rules for deities to rendezvous with mortals let alone have children with them, the jade emperor had his sister imprisoned. Erlang himself went through a journey of his own to rescue his mother. But of course that’s another story on its own.
Didn't the Emperor imprison her Wukong style? As in, suppress her under a mountain, and afaik Erlang learned his magic and all that then split it open with his axe, just like at the beginning.
Another interesting thing iirc is Erlang's sister also did the same thing their mother did, and his nephew also had to split a mountain with a magic axe to save his mom.
@@ADKV95No, it's entirely different. Unlike Wukong... Erlang's mom didn't turn into stone.
That story can be found in a novel called Feng Shen Yan Yi(封神演义）, it tells the story of how these Celestial Admiral renounced as part of the Celestial Court. The timelines is way earlier before JTTW. To know Erlang’s story, you need to read this novel.

I like that his mind wasn’t lost. The old monkey lied or didn’t know better. It was all his plan. After defeating his echo all relics in the destined ones body activated and Sun Wukong took control over his new body. Without the headband he can break free and fight the celestial court once again. This time he has a chance, because now his full potential is unlocked. Awesome story and twist

That headband is not a crown tho it may look decorative. It was a band the Buddha Guanyin gave to the Tang Monk to control Wukong on their journey to the west. They tricked wukong into wearing it in the guise of a hat during the very beginning of the journey since Wukong was very untamed and did not want to listen to the tang monk. Basically if Wukong were to act up and defy the tang monk, he can recite a mantra that causes the band to squeeze his head like a watermelon and give them tremendous pain. This is why it’s so important at the end for him to break free of it in the game so he can no longer be controlled by the celestial court or the realm of the Buddha (lin Shang). The ending is Wukong remembering his journey to the west for the scriptures, but backwards. Since the story all started with him rebelling against the celestial court, it’s very symbolic that the game has an open ended ending leading everyone to speculate what Wukong is going to do next. His beginning in the journey to the west mirrors his ending in the game when he didn’t have the band, maybe he will take the fight up to the celestial court once again.
In the original novel, it was mentioned that the headband was removed when Wukong attained Buddhahood. Black Myth: Wukong version of the story is not the same.
@@ThreeKingdomsHighlights I believe the game takes it further. You can see he wasn't wearing the crown in the beginning animation but as he rebelled the headband just materialized. This is to suggest they tricked him, it was never permanently removed and Wukong knew this thus why he had to die to avoid the prison.

I play a lot of games like this! You'll defeat him I'm sure of it :)
That is because the viewers are spoiling her with all the easiest ways to brute force it. i.e. the fan, curios, and rock monster. She skipped a lot of learning which will result in more skill-based fights. It will in turn, IMO, makes a more fun, exciting and enjoying spectacle.

2 days? it took me 4 days and countless desk slams. He was a fking po$$i a$$ boss of a fight. slow strikes, a fking shield to break down before damaging him, and of coarse all the moves he has and the grab moves. I think my neighbours think im phsycotic now..
To me, it took 3 hours to finally beat even though on my last try, I have so little health, so I thought I lost again, but no, I beat him somehow
Erlang is definitely one of the hardest boss beside Yellow Loong. Erlang attacks are so annoying and he is just aggresive with it sometimes
Erlang is almost the Malenia male version. But of course, he is not healing when he hits you but still, Erlang is good
I went to Yellow Loong with a spellbinder build + sprint build. I first tried him.
But Erlang i struggled with, but went back to a high mana spell build and then he was down in 2 tries.
While the bosses in this game have clear flaws and you can feel the rough edges here and there ( its their first big game after all ) i like the gameplay a lot and how diverse it is and that bosses have clear weaknesses even when they appear OP.
He can regen shield bar by damaging you in phase 3

In Taoism the Four Heavenly Kings in "Journey to the West" are the same ones from the novel "Investiture of the Gods". They were from the Mo family and were the generals of the Shang dynasty. In Buddhism they are the Dharma Protectors. Their weapons are as seen in the game: a sword, a pipa, an umbrella, and a loong.
🤓Well, the West-King with the Dragon, 廣目天王(Guǎngmù = Broad-eyed, Tiānwáng = Heavenly King), a.k.a. 魔礼壽(Mólǐ Shòu), is associated with a Red Cord/Lasso or Red Naga(which could be a Dragon-y Snare).
😁Aaannd his Sanskrit/Buddhist Name, Virūpākṣa, is dropped on Chapter 1, after Elder Jinchi is defeated and the Destined-One get the Fireproof-Mantle, which Sūn Wùkōng borrowed from said-Deity...

Your winning video made it look easy, but the first or second loss to Erlang was EXCITING to watch. THAT was epic...to see his skills in its full range.
it represent journey to the west backward, which is some interpret the correct way to read journey to the west, where instead of learning scripture to the west they are spreading it to the east, and where wukong learn in the journey that some monster are protected and celestial court are just monster living in sky, and thus he was banished to the mountain then he break free and cause chaos in celestial court.

Erlang was a lot harder than yellow loong.

Depends on your PC… also if you have PC you can retrieve old save points (not in game but backup saves are nested in the game folders).

I’m a fairly decent gamer and I do not understand how you beat the final boss in 3 tried and they guy in like 5?? I was stuck on both for hours. Erlang I found easier than chapter 6 boss bc I kept getting him to like 5% health, and then his second health bar would appear and I couldn’t kill him. Here’s hoping for today lol 😊
