Okay, so the only server hosting I've done before is my own dedicated server on the Xbox version of the game. When it comes to third-party hosting, can someone explain to me how server clustering works? Do I need to rent multiple servers in order to play on different maps? Can I switch maps on one server, and will that overwrite (delete) the save data on the previous map? I want the freedom to play on multiple maps but can't afford to host a new server for every single map.
Can someone please help me. I was looking at getting a shockbyte server for Ark and was all ready to sign up when I ran into some Redits that say it is a scam and they are bad. Are they? And if so where is a good reliable provider?
@@selfmadenewbie okay so then I hate to ask this but what plan and for how long have you been with them. What I want is to run a Gen 2 server but would the basic plan handle it? Kinda on a budget.
