I like how this showed him actively allowing for the arcade machine to function by controlling it with his ‘computer’. I wish more people would do this.
Vynnie No shame! I honestly admire FNAF in some ways for being such a unique idea for a horror game, and the fella who worked on it deserves props for being a one man developer!
@@p0rtalsg4ming59 I heard about that! I think specifically I remember hearing Jim Sterling comparing his earlier games to Chuck-E-Cheese animatronics and Scott Cawthon took his criticism and it inspired FNAF? If I'm remembering the story right?
i never payed too much to lyrics when the chorus came up with the line "you can't see me behind the screen" i for some reason always imagined a wizard of oz kind of thing "pay no attention to the man behind the sheet". but with this animatic being.. basically a 1 to 1 translation of the lyrics i probably won't be able to unhear them now while listening in the future
Wrote an entire character based off of this song. Here's their prompt: Evil, but tends to only attack if provoked. This character died but was brought back with a glitch of sorts. They could enter digital realms. They decided to become the character of their own game for a little while but eventually started driving people playing it into madness once they got bored. They managed to escape their own realm and now torment people by traumatizing them via every game they play until they descend into madness. If someone tries to stop them by destroying their device, hacking, or other means, they're found dead the next day with a note simply saying "Game over". Thoughts?

My favourite part of this song is "Now they see my blood ... on their sneakers" followed by the Reveal, so a massive thank you for doing it justice!! Not only is the visual of an arcade machine wounded & bleeding so compelling, but the reveal of the skeleton (& implied amalgamation) was just 😙👌 When the cables turned prehensile to exact vengeance, I audibly went "FUCK YES", it was SUPERB. Transcend the limitations of form, babey!! "I'm half human and half machine" and all monster!! I LOVE what u did with this animatic & the creative choices u made to convey the story. Keep it up, ur incredibly talented! 🌟
when I heard "my organs were moving on its own" and "I was in the box for safe keeping" from the song, I thought that he meant that his organs were inside the arcade cabinet.
i absolutely adore this! the art and storytelling is brilliant! i've been constantly mourning the lack of spirit phone animatics so you've filled a hole in my heart, thank u for ur service
THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CABINET MAN VIDEO. It’s absolutely so great, and I love how the guy looks too, he makes me smile really big idk why.. either way this is so damn good! amazing work ❤️
I will never be over the fact that supposedly the inspiration for this was Polybius and it now haunts me more than before Also this is the best animation for Cabinet Man I've ever seen and I'm honestly kinda shocked by the whole thing because its almost exactly like the animatic I had planned
This is absolutely flawless in every single way and I hope it gets animated in full some day. The only change I would make is adding a subtle detail to the workshop at the beginning in the background: A draft letter. The line in the song "I stood so proudly, like I was going to war!" always struck me as a bit odd in regards to the rest of the song, and I know I'm looking waaaay too far into this but considering the time frame this song takes place in has to be somewhere between the late 70's and early 80's (the Famicon, or"tiny little box in Japan" came out 1983), and the draft was reinstated in 1980, it'd make sense if getting a draft letter was the final push Cabinet Man needed to act upon his "electric desires". In my theorized time frame for the song he probably converts himself sometime in 1980 after recieving a draft letter, and he was active until 1983 when the video game crash killed most arcades and the NES would have been launched. HOWEVER he also mentions the Gameboy specifically, but does point out it will come out "pretty soon", so absolute best case scenario the arcade started declining in '83 and was basically abandoned by like '87 or '88. TL;DR: Cabinet Man is a draft dodge, yo.
I was terrified of receiving such a long comment under my video, but I am...Genuinely in love with that theory. The idea that he's escaping possibly dying in a war by faking his own death and becoming a machine is...damn thats GOOD!
@@Agpicklefeet Ha ha, sorry my long comment scared you, I tend to rant. Fantastic video, by the way! I must've watched this like two dozen times, love all the character and detail!
@@sealbeegle9785 after months of rethinking my life choices and coming back to this video having forgotten that I commented this let me explain what I meant: the dude looks kinda cute in a greasy man that doesn't ever get out of his house kinda way, so I used the word incel to encompass that vibe. Hes cute but I would also like to bully him
I love this! Its gorgeous, and your character art is so smooth and expressive, it has so much life! Theres so many different perspectives too, the art is crisp and clear and just fits together beautifully. I really love it!!!
I found out about this video like a yesterday, I love the execution of the story. However, I have question: What is going on during 2:33 - 2:34, where Cabinet Man is gripping a screwdriver? He is in the machine at this time, correct? He seems upset, for some reason? Is he not happy about fulfilling his "electric desires"? Is he feeling some regrets over his decision? He said that he was "happy for years and years" after that over that one part of the song, but how much of that is true?
SO my idea was that scene as well as the others that take place in the workshop are all flashbacks of him progressively turning himself into a machine. The scene you mention 2:33 - 2:34 , I imagine takes place as he's grappling with the decision to sacrifice most of his body to become the Cabinet Man as we know him (before he's confined himself in there). Although this is my original interpretation, I do like to implement death of the author; so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
@@Agpicklefeet Oh ok, That makes alot more sense. I always thought that the other scenes were him already in the machine playing against other people, but it makes alot more sense that they were flashbacks working on becoming Cabinet Man. Along with "this was what Love must have felt like", I also thought it was him receiving positive attention upon when he was revealed at the arcade. But I'm guessing that was another flashback and monitoring his heart to see if it was compatible/working with his modified cabinet.
i think the reason why he says later in the song that it’s getting hard to breathe, is because his lungs are the change collectors, but no one is there to remove the change anymore
This has to be by far the greatest animation/animatic on this song I've ever seen! It's so creepy seeing the dude tied up in the wires after 'dying' such a cool take on the story!

funniest shit I've ever seen
Please somebody respond im losing my mind
To me its more on the creepy side of things. Things like this interest me, and freak me out at the same time
@@quinnforrester7833 thank you so much, you are the shining star in my darkest night
this made me laugh so hard that i decomposed, thank you
this is my personal favorite cabinet man animation
this is so incredibly professional that it blows my mind it was just made for fun. this serves as a lot of inspiration to get started on animatics of my own. thank you so much for this!
That's the best I could have hoped for, knowing my art inspires others is the best feeling!!
This is... *criminally* good. You have no idea how much I appreciate
I’m in utter disbelief at seeing my own video at 100k views, I can’t thank you all enough.
this is amazing!! It deserves the 100k views
Super professional
bro this animatic does not need to go as hard as it does. but it DOES and it's amazing
3:38 i think that lemon demon repeating that verse, is the machine talking to the robbers in a broken tone.
The concept of the song is ALOT MORE creepier with this, but is SOO good
Okay but imagine you and the boys out vandalisin an arcade machine before Christmas keeps you indoors then it starts bleeding and ominously singing
3:33 YES HOLY SHIT I SCREAMED THE WAY THEIR EXPRESSIONS CHANGE- this is so perfect, i love it!!
DUDE THIS GIVES ME VIBES IT LOOKS AWESOME
i love your pfp
it’s... entrancing
I like how this showed him actively allowing for the arcade machine to function by controlling it with his ‘computer’. I wish more people would do this.
"...with two lungs colecting change." "It's geting hard to breath" "Breaking me and taking my quarters"
thank you SO SO MUCH for getting me into lemon demon btw
@@crimsonfirecat I listen to Spirit Phone at least once a week- I’m so sorry to have passed the curse on to you as well dear viewer 😭
The quality of this is insane and while watching it struck me I never fully processed the lyrics-
oh my god I can't believe I'm saying this in 2020, but the skull in the box gave me SEVERE fnaf vibes and I'm HERE for it
Vynnie No shame! I honestly admire FNAF in some ways for being such a unique idea for a horror game, and the fella who worked on it deserves props for being a one man developer!
@@Agpicklefeet The inspiration was because people said his style made everything looked like scary animatronics
@@p0rtalsg4ming59 I heard about that! I think specifically I remember hearing Jim Sterling comparing his earlier games to Chuck-E-Cheese animatronics and Scott Cawthon took his criticism and it inspired FNAF? If I'm remembering the story right?
@@Agpicklefeet That's it right there!
i found this while looking for cabinet man fnaf animatics actually, haha
i never payed too much to lyrics when the chorus came up with the line "you can't see me behind the screen" i for some reason always imagined a wizard of oz kind of thing "pay no attention to the man behind the sheet". but with this animatic being.. basically a 1 to 1 translation of the lyrics i probably won't be able to unhear them now while listening in the future
Wrote an entire character based off of this song. Here's their prompt:
Evil, but tends to only attack if provoked.
Thoughts?
just watched this like the fifth time and it was the first time id actually caught the face in the hole in the screen. dunno if i was just to focused on the blood or the song lmao. but then again this time i was watching *and* playing it on my ukulele so idk man
I was like "Please tell me he eats the children at the end"
glad to say I wasn't disappointed
This is probably the best crack at a music video for this song anyone's ever taken
I look at the cover of this video and I’m like ‘IS THAT STAN PINES???” From gravity falls
this is amazing! youre so talented! this mustve been hard work im so glad to see the final product
jack hes lego maniac Oh man, considering I did this as a final the work load was pretty stressful! The pre-production was done over the course of about a month but I ended up doing the bulk of the work within about a week and a half!
I do not recommend this kind of stressful time constraint, but I am very proud of the final product! I’m glad you enjoyed it, it really makes the hard work pay off!
This animation literally clarified some of the lyrics and events in the song to me. Amazingly made, very creative and has a lovely style! Loved the "CabinetBoy" detail too!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CAME BACK HERE BC I WANTEDTO SHARE YOUR THESIS VIDEO THEN I SAW THIS OF COURSE YOU LIKE LEMON DEMON AND HOLY FFF SOMEONE NEEDED TO ANIMATE THIS SONG SO THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he didn't even know what love felt like until he was inside the screen...sad
Poor guy had to simulate what love is like...Sad is right!
This needs to be the official music video for this song. It’s fantastic and I love how you designed the characters and the backgrounds!
The SCP potential that this gives off is criminal. Just, vengeful arcade man that eats people and causes the occasional bout of insanity.
i like that you left out some of his body parts at around 0:43 since he couldn’t fit his entire body into the machine
:)
THIS IS AMAZING. fits the song perfectly !
ik right? its so gooood!
This is amazing! I can't overstate how great this is! Some definite skill and talent went into making this!
This was amazing, my only question is what was with the arm laying on the ground at the beginning after he put himself inside the arcade machine?
Brandon Styve Yes! It is what’s left of his body after putting his head, heart, and lungs into the machine!
Agpicklefeet ohhh ok so the scenes of him inside the machine typing on a keyboard were simply metaphorical?
@@captainmartinwalker2848 They were more like flashbacks of him planning to make himself into a cabinet!
@@Agpicklefeet dude i love your brain, mostly because you think of this song just like i do. XD
@@Agpicklefeet ok so just out of curiosity, how did he do it himself??
also you did a great job on this, he seems like the perfect guy to do something like that for some reason lmao
OMG THIS IS SO PERFECTTTT
I'm sorry why is this in my recommended only now and why is it happening to so many people? Love lemon demon.
when I heard "my organs were moving on its own" and "I was in the box for safe keeping" from the song, I thought that he meant that his organs were inside the arcade cabinet.
I love how every animation of this agrees those kids at the end GET GOT
wow.. I never "really" listened to the lyrics.. chilling. well done!!
this needs to become a scp
agreed
if i could write
My mans really still had acne in his digi form
i absolutely adore this! the art and storytelling is brilliant! i've been constantly mourning the lack of spirit phone animatics so you've filled a hole in my heart, thank u for ur service
I can't lie this is my favorite thing right now. My favorite animatic ever.
Average Name thank you so much ❤️
THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CABINET MAN VIDEO. It’s absolutely so great, and I love how the guy looks too, he makes me smile really big idk why.. either way this is so damn good! amazing work ❤️
possibly one of my favorite songs finally portrayed extremely well and i am absolutely captivayed
This is SO amazing, it fits so perfectly!!!
I will never be over the fact that supposedly the inspiration for this was Polybius and it now haunts me more than before
Also this is the best animation for Cabinet Man I've ever seen and I'm honestly kinda shocked by the whole thing because its almost exactly like the animatic I had planned
Gef Don’t be, thanks for enjoying my video so much :)
i am OBSESSED w this oh my god !!!!!!!
He’s kinda cute in an incel way
(Dhdhg no but for real this is one of the best animatics I’ve seen on UA-cam, terrific job)
what?
@Hey I’m Jaii what? i don't know what they mean by cute in an incel way that makes no sense whatsoever
@@sealbeegle9785 after months of rethinking my life choices and coming back to this video having forgotten that I commented this let me explain what I meant: the dude looks kinda cute in a greasy man that doesn't ever get out of his house kinda way, so I used the word incel to encompass that vibe. Hes cute but I would also like to bully him
THATS WHAT ITS ABOUT?!?!? THATS SO FRIKEN COOL!!!! THIS MAKES WAYYY MORE SENSE!
I love this! Its gorgeous, and your character art is so smooth and expressive, it has so much life! Theres so many different perspectives too, the art is crisp and clear and just fits together beautifully. I really love it!!!
This is so disgusting (visually and when you think about it). I love it so much.
I found out about this video like a yesterday, I love the execution of the story. However, I have question:
What is going on during 2:33 - 2:34, where Cabinet Man is gripping a screwdriver?
Gonna tell my kids that this was Lain
I WISH I COULD LIKE A COMMENT TWICE
It's such a zany yet horrifying story, it's just awesome
i think the reason why he says later in the song that it’s getting hard to breathe, is because his lungs are the change collectors, but no one is there to remove the change anymore
I love this to hell and back that ending was amazing
one of the MOST Cabinet Man animatics i've seen!! >w
what
I just found this and god I love how you interpreted the song so much. Also your art is very epic I love
This has to be by far the greatest animation/animatic on this song I've ever seen! It's so creepy seeing the dude tied up in the wires after 'dying' such a cool take on the story!
I've seen tons of fanmade videos to this song, but I think this is my favorite interpretation so far.
This is fucken awesome dude
