Last night I asked about my guardian angel, about an hour later as I was falling asleep the name "ezekial" ran through my head... I know nothing of the Bible, I've had struggles here and there however nothing has spoke to me harder. Today I challenged myself to appreciate small coincidence, also I looked into tips for contacting a guardian angel, and music was what the internet gave back to me. I've played guitar since 2004 and the significance of this is that today at work (I move people for a living.) A customer gave me a guitar, and then tipped at the end of the day. The tip was ironically the perfect amount of money to afford everything needed to get the dust off the guitar and get it back in its original state as it has been sitting for years. I named the guitar Ezekiel, and now I am looking into his story.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ brother, guardian angels without Jesus are no good whatsoever. Jesus loves you more than them and has better intentions for you and your life

Im reading Ezekiel right now for the 2nd time in 2 years. I understand the narrative but of course not completely understanding the prophetic messages. I searched UA-cam to find a teaching video and you sir do not disappoint. I thank Yah on this Sabbath day for you and pray blessing and a hedge of protection of all of my brothers and sisters in Messiah during this squirrelly time.

The people were in a land GOD never intended they should be trying to figure out how to live according to His laws, precepts, statutes & commandments as they had in their own land. Quite difficult to "keep up with", as one who isn't well versed in the Bible; O consider myself a neophyte Bible reader/and in understanding. But, it gives me a long range goal at the same time. It makes one realize,.. that, short of being a Seminarian...one must study daily, weekly, monthly and yearly to move beyond one's own tiny understanding. Glad UTube exists for this. I realize, just how little I know...very, very little...and this drives me forward. May God have mercy on us all.
We all begin by turning our will over to God and move up from there. Jesus is not worried about how much you know but how much you WANT to know him. And through his Holy Spirit he will fulfill your desire to understand.

Thanks for the overview. It was very interesting and informative. But I feel it could have been articulated better. Like the neat presentation of the charts etc. It was more like a teacher trying to communicate a lot of thoughts in a very small frame of time, so things were flying sometimes in different directions. But overall it was a blessing to hear all this. Thank you very much.

Ezekiel is really weird and the pastors I asked probably had no idea and sadly just like politicians they can talk a lot without saying anything! Your info was so helpful to me. It's really frustrating to read the bible without background info. It's like biting into frozen food. It has happened to me too, that I've said things as if knowing it's the right thing to say and being spot on without knowing where the info came from. I suppose it's a good sign.

I know there is probably nobody reading this.....but (appx. 35:45) if I'm not to apply this (and other) verse to my life, how do I know when it's ONLY meant for those being spoken to and when it is something I need to apply to MY life?????
Sandy Grubb Since this is prophecy, it is specifically for those being spoken to, but throughout the entire Bible we do see God’s character and God’s character prove time and time that He does have a plan for every human he makes. THAT verse mentioned though is SPECIFICALLY for the Israelites at the time and not for Sandy. How you can tell the difference is through reading entire context. If you read the whole chapter, the surrounding chapters, or even the entire book, it is clear that Ezekiel is speaking directly to the Israelites.
In any Bible interpretation and application first you must read a text in its context back then. Know what it meant to them and the situation that was at hand.
Hi just came across this video. I am learning a lot from it. I have a question, from 24:00-25:00 where you talk about the prophecies of the other prophets who were giving false prophecies, you describe the details of what they were preaching. Is this a summary of the things we read in the Bible of them saying, or is it information we have from other writings that were preserved from then? I am curious as I am reading the entire Bible for the first time and I'm in Ezekiel now and I don't remember any description this detailed in the text. But as I'm reading for the first time I know I'm not summarizing and analyzing it as in-depth.
Throughout the book of Jeremiah are sprinkled references to his constant refutations of the false prophets, who were "tickling the itching ears" and telling people what they wanted to hear. This channel also has a very good series of videos on Jeremiah, if you haven't already checked them out.
Hyacinth Bucket I have seen the "one hour one book" video on Jeremiah, I haven't watched the series. I remember the many references to the false prophets, but more vague references like you said, that they were preaching what the people wanted to hear
@@Ontherock402 Without going through the entire book of Jeremiah, I couldn't tell you if all of the specific things he said were quotations or merely elaborations. One place I do know of that gets specific is Jeremiah 27:9-22, where, after King Jehoiachin, the nobles and craftsmen, and much of the temple treasure had been carried off to Babylon (God's judgment), God warned King Zedekkiah to submit to Nebuchadnezzar, or else he would return and kill them all and destroy Jerusalem. But the false prophets were telling them, "You shall not serve the king of Babylon." and, "Watch, the vessels of the Lord's house will soon be returned from Babylon." (verses 14 and 16). God went on to say that, not only were they NOT returning, but everything of value that remained in the temple would be taken to Babylon, and would stay there until God caused them to be restored. Jesus referred to himself as the ''Son of Man'' - found 82 times in the NT. Ezekiel is called ''Son of Man'' - 93 times in the OT. There are many parallels between Ezekiel, The Son of Man, and Jesus, the Son of Man.
I don’t know if you still check your comments, but I just finished reading Ezekiel for the second time yesterday and I am still confused of its meaning. Fortunately I could not sleep last night, so I got up and went to UA-cam to watch some sermons, but the urge to understand Ezekiel caused me to seek a commentary instead and that’s when I ran across your “One Hour One Book” series. Watching it has helped me immensely, but you stopped right after the 7 hand of God upon Ezekiel, associating Daniel and John to it. You did not get into the 4 visions, the 4 events and further study getting to the end. You stated that you were giving the class a break, but in searching, I could not find the continuation. It only has the “A Love Story” 1, 2 and 3, but it starts with 7 Parables written on the white board which was not there when you ended. I was so into you series and would like to continue. I really believe God moved me to get understanding last night, so please expound of the rest of Ezekiel for me. Thanks for your attention.
What would you say about a pastor that inderpendently runs my church i attend not the board or elders they are all yes men. Theres a lady that has come in three years ago and has taken over all ministries and turn the church into a corperate business. I was under her in the music team i called her out on a rule book she wrote where she was pulling it out as a weapon and she wasnt keeping the rules, a few of us got kicked off the team the pastor blew us up and sent txts about korah rebeling against moses also proverbs about being a gossiper n that we needed to submut or leave n look at the bigger cause of the church is this correct or biblical , shall i look at it as the lord has taken us into babylon and we need to submit and pray for the leadership ?

Im reading Ezekiel right now for the 2nd time in 2 years. I understand the narrative but of course not completely understanding the prophetic messages. I searched UA-cam to find a teaching video and you sir do not disappoint. I thank Yah on this Sabbath day for you and pray blessing and a hedge of protection of all of my brothers and sisters in Messiah during this squirrelly time.

Quite difficult to "keep up with", as one who isn't well versed in the Bible; O consider myself a neophyte Bible reader/and in understanding. But, it gives me a long range goal at the same time.
It makes one realize,.. that, short of being a Seminarian...one must study daily, weekly, monthly and yearly to move beyond one's own tiny understanding.

Thanks for the overview. It was very interesting and informative. But I feel it could have been articulated better. Like the neat presentation of the charts etc. It was more like a teacher trying to communicate a lot of thoughts in a very small frame of time, so things were flying sometimes in different directions. Ezekiel is really weird and the pastors I asked probably had no idea and sadly just like politicians they can talk a lot without saying anything! Your info was so helpful to me. It's really frustrating to read the bible without background info. It's like biting into frozen food.
It has happened to me too, that I've said things as if knowing it's the right thing to say and being spot on without knowing where the info came from. I suppose it's a good sign.

I never heard of this guy, Doctor Randall Smith, you could say randomly I found Randall... but I am very impressed with his knowledge, his manner of presentation, his concise and informative teaching so I wanted to press the Subscribe button but I don't see one. I know there is probably nobody reading this.....but (appx. 35:45) if I'm not to apply this (and other) verse to my life, how do I know when it's ONLY meant for those being spoken to and when it is something I need to apply to MY life?????
Sandy Grubb Since this is prophecy, it is specifically for those being spoken to, but throughout the entire Bible we do see God’s character and God’s character prove time and time that He does have a plan for every human he makes. THAT verse mentioned though is SPECIFICALLY for the Israelites at the time and not for Sandy.
How you can tell the difference is through reading entire context. If you read the whole chapter, the surrounding chapters, or even the entire book, it is clear that Ezekiel is speaking directly to the Israelites.
In any Bible interpretation and application first you must read a text in its context back then. Know what it meant to them and the situation that was at hand.
Hi just came across this video. I am learning a lot from it. I have a question, from 24:00-25:00 where you talk about the prophecies of the other prophets who were giving false prophecies, you describe the details of what they were preaching. Is this a summary of the things we read in the Bible of them saying, or is it information we have from other writings that were preserved from then? I am curious as I am reading the entire Bible for the first time and I'm in Ezekiel now and I don't remember any description this detailed in the text. But as I'm reading for the first time I know I'm not summarizing and analyzing it as in-depth.
Throughout the book of Jeremiah are sprinkled references to his constant refutations of the false prophets, who were "tickling the itching ears" and telling people what they wanted to hear. This channel also has a very good series of videos on Jeremiah, if you haven't already checked them out.
Hyacinth Bucket I have seen the "one hour one book" video on Jeremiah, I haven't watched the series. I remember the many references to the false prophets, but more vague references like you said, that they were preaching what the people wanted to hear
Maybe it was just the wording that he uses in the video that confused me. It seemed so specific.
@@Ontherock402 Without going through the entire book of Jeremiah, I couldn't tell you if all of the specific things he said were quotations or merely elaborations. One place I do know of that gets specific is Jeremiah 27:9-22, where, after King Jehoiachin, the nobles and craftsmen, and much of the temple treasure had been carried off to Babylon (God's judgment), God warned King Zedekkiah to submit to Nebuchadnezzar, or else he would return and kill them all and destroy Jerusalem. But the false prophets were telling them, "You shall not serve the king of Babylon." and, "Watch, the vessels of the Lord's house will soon be returned from Babylon." (verses 14 and 16). God went on to say that, not only were they NOT returning, but everything of value that remained in the temple would be taken to Babylon, and would stay there until God caused them to be restored.

Jesus referred to himself as the ''Son of Man'' - found 82 times in the NT. Ezekiel is called ''Son of Man'' - 93 times in the OT. There are many parallels between Ezekiel, The Son of Man, and Jesus, the Son of Man.

I don’t know if you still check your comments, but I just finished reading Ezekiel for the second time yesterday and I am still confused of its meaning. Fortunately I could not sleep last night, so I got up and went to UA-cam to watch some sermons, but the urge to understand Ezekiel caused me to seek a commentary instead and that’s when I ran across your “One Hour One Book” series. Watching it has helped me immensely, but you stopped right after the 7 hand of God upon Ezekiel, associating Daniel and John to it. You did not get into the 4 visions, the 4 events and further study getting to the end.
You stated that you were giving the class a break, but in searching, I could not find the continuation. It only has the “A Love Story” 1, 2 and 3, but it starts with 7 Parables written on the white board which was not there when you ended. I was so into you series and would like to continue. I really believe God moved me to get understanding last night, so please expound of the rest of Ezekiel for me.

What would you say about a pastor that inderpendently runs my church i attend not the board or elders they are all yes men. Theres a lady that has come in three years ago and has taken over all ministries and turn the church into a corperate business. I was under her in the music team i called her out on a rule book she wrote where she was pulling it out as a weapon and she wasnt keeping the rules, a few of us got kicked off the team the pastor blew us up and sent txts about korah rebeling against moses also proverbs about being a gossiper n that we needed to submut or leave n look at the bigger cause of the church is this correct or biblical , shall i look at it as the lord has taken us into babylon and we need to submit and pray for the leadership ?
