It’s strange how we all feel connected to him. I don’t know any other band where the fans gravitate towards a guitar player more than the other members like we do. John left and people everywhere kept wanting John back. I don’t really have the words as to why we love him so much.
First time I met him in '99, I couldnt stop hugging him. So beautiful, and Im a guy. Not gay, hes just so warm and smart and handsome. Planning on visiting him again, hes one of the most amazing person ive ever met. Love you frusciante ;)
John is so cute and sweet ... clearly the boys didn't know English and not only they could do was raise their thumb or show him a paper ... I've seen him a couple of times with people who do not know english and he is very kind , I like to think he understands the fact that his music crosses linguistic barriers and although some people can't understand his lyrics or not at all, that doesn't prevent the feeling of his guitar and music from being transmitted . Amazing John.
John looks so gentle and vulnerable here. You can see how open he can be to other people's energy if he doesn't put up a wall (some people need to do that) and I can't believe how he can bear all those strangers touching him, even on the head (imagine a stranger doing that to you!) If I did that it would ruin my relationship with his music because I'd dirtied it with an interaction that was momentary, meaningless and ugly.
I thought the same. It’s a boundary violation. As much as i wanna give John a hug I’m sure he wouldn’t really wanna hug me back - especially after a long flight.
I think he had a much greater sense of gratitude after the drug addiction and second chance with the band. He will always be a private person, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I think he finally found a way to appreciate the good vibes from the fans.

its interesting to watch john interact w fans i know fame isnt his forte' its hard for a true artist to accept their art being put on display for the public and for the scrutiny of public opinion . most bands that form w the intent of gaining fame may find it but their art will never be pure of soul to bear youre soul thru art is to be naked as an artist and musician myself, i find this most fascinating about john . he is someone i have looked up to since i was a teen . the trajectory of my life was changed by being a fan of his and the chilis . i feel that john has a very old soul and god bless him for sharing it w us

Me encanta lo relajados que están todos, gracias a la calma que mantiene la gente puede el también mantenerla y estar un rato con ellos. Desgraciadamente ahora eso no se podría hacer porque habría mil enfermos que se le empezarían a tirar encima y el tipo (que se nota que en realidad no tiene problema en estar con sus fans) tendría que estar ahí con 20 monos que lo cuidan. Me encantó este video. :) Así debería ser con todo el mundo, hay que respetar su espacio y la seguridad de todos.
