This is a trail that should be completed as there is only one area of concern. Very scenic and a relatively easy trail. Definitely take time to determine your path up the rock ledge area in order to save wear and tear on your equipment. The path chosen will be dictated by the lift your vehicle has. I happy that we made the effort to complete this trail!
@@VoyagerOverland we didn’t take a direct route to racehorse pass as we did crown mountain which they closed one side this past year. As far as I know once you get over North fork on the BC side once you hit the main gravel road you’d turn left and not right.
Right?? I found that whole deal on the BC side confusing, signs with conflicting information and not clear. North Fork was easy and well marked with a clear path coming out on highway 43.... as long as you turn right after the tracks and take the long way to Sparwood.

I did that trail last year, it is a scenic drive for sure
I saw your video. It looked like you made your way across to Racehorse Pass on the BC side. I never found a way, offer any hints or clues for me?

We did Race Horse Pass in 2015 and there was a gate locked on the west side. It was like they didn't want Albertas coming into BC

Thanks for sharing. How long does it take to run that trail ?
From the access point on the Alberta side to the road exit on the BC side is about 80 km, made for a great day trip.
@@VoyagerOverland ok. Thanks. Thinking about doing it with my sxs.
@@danjubenvill2591 Much quicker with a sxs 👍
North fork trail was closed last year to all vehicles
