    I have an old double deader that I keep in my car instead of a chainsaw. They throw fairly easily.

    Great video! What is your/the formula to figure out the amount of, in this case round stock, to achieve the mass of the finished product?

      Also, you may have done it off screen but if not, if you put a smooth coat of wood glue on the wedge just before inserting it, it doubles as a lubricant while your driving it in.

      Just volume calculations. I very roughly figure out the volume of the blank with the eye in it, before I draw the bit. basically its a rectangle. I honestly don't spend to much time punching number, always go with a bit more and what my gut says. 😜
