"It is the cohesion, the meaning, the final equilibrium. This is the end. This, is the Flood." That line honestly gave me chills throughout my whole body. The way it was delivered. It sounded super vague and complex, exactly as it should be. I know this is entirely its own thing. Would have prefered a faithful retelling, but the Flood absolutely seems cool so far. I just hope they mutate more than what we've seen so far. When a body is fully taken over, it barely looks like the host anymore. It completely changes the host DNA. This looked cool for like a "pre-feral" stage thing, which I hope is what they were going for, but I really hope this was just a tease and that a fully-realized outbreak will look like the Flood we all know and love but yeah, this was definitely solid Halo content. Crazy, how a Halo TV show is at its best when it's actually like Halo... Hope season 3 is entirely like this season finale in terms of fighting, mystery and danger. The Flood, the Covenant, Halo, I want all of that. The time for slowness and politics is over. They introduced the Flood and 343 Guilty Spark. Shit has to start picking up now. With how successful this season was in terms of viewership, I hope they get a bigger budget so that all the CGI can look as good as it did in this finale. A proper Halo TV show NEEDS to be high budget. Especially during action scenes! My hopium tank is on overdrive now. Please let season 3 be good!
Don't worry, my hopium is super high for s3 as well lol. That entire sequence where The Mother delivers the line about the Flood was chilling, loved it so much. Wonder if she has an ancient human gaesh in here or something.

In any case, it was awesome to finally see the Flood again and it getting the respect it deserves. Truly felt like there was weight to their reveal. That they're more than just space zombies

If S3 is confirmed, we are really about to see a “keys proto gravemind” in this series! The threat of the flood has gone off the charts!
@@Zenghilios its cool to hear that other halo fans can also still like the show...I dont watch a lot of tv shows and so maybe thats why but i didnt see anything major wrong with the show...season 1 at times did feel a little scuffed in some parts but i was like...dude..its better than getting nothing...and all the action scenes were at least very cool....but season 2 and espically that last episode were really good and i dont care much that it diverges from main source too much

I was a bit disappointed with season 1 but now they are hitting the major story beats of the games/books but also with some great additions. With this "silver timeline" it's actually fun not knowing how everything will happen. There are still twists and turns I won't expect. So pumped for Season 3!
According to many lore-educated commentors on other videos, the infection process seen here is apparently reminiscent of how the first galactic outbreak occurred. Not to mention that there are some parts in the animated Halo Legends comic, _Mona Lisa_ , has the infection spread through bites and scratches/exposure to Flood Spores and bits. Not to mention that the Flood that we fight are much more advanced and already have Infection Forms created, and not in the beginning stages with the Spores as seen here. And yet, people are complaining and saying that this is not how the Flood works. Like, bro. Read the books, look up the lore, and get your facts straight! 😭😭😭

I love HiddenXperia and his passion for Halo. I've met him in person and he's such a great guy. He is very negative at times about the show, and I think that's justified. I think that the show is amazing for what it is, sans the main game timeline. I just tried to be positive about the show and I've been lucky enough to meet some people who worked on season 2. They are so passionate about Halo. Whether you enjoy the show or not, I completely understand. I'm just someone who tries to be positive and appreciate what we got :)

Why do folks that love the show have so much negativity towards folks that didn't/ dont like the show? Like saying we not true Halo fans / haters/ toxic, and all that just because. I think its clear we are ALL fans of Halo. Thats why we watched it this long. Me personally, i been got over the Helmet, the timeline, and its not the game part. Standing on its own, its just not a good storyline for me. Halo is a war story. A story with a Stoic larger than life Hero in MC surrounded by others who are heroic in their own rights as well. Who in this show, as written, is a character that someone would actually trust with their lives and follow with their live and humanity on the line? Remove all the lore and games. Remove what you know "should" happen and who should do it. And answer that question. For example, what has been implied by the relationship between John and Cortana, as written and presented solely by THIS show, that he would suddenly feel the overwhelming need to risk it all to save her when he did? But it happened. Because if it didn't, then it's not "Halo." The action in the finale was great. The. Visuals are great. Outside that, the storylines feel plucked, tweeked, and forced together. So for me, its the writing. Ackerman has had the best "character development" of anyone. This show is entertainment. Not being truly entertained by it isn't an attack on the fans who where.
I don't have a huge amount of negativity for people that don't like the show, but personally I've seen a lot of people being mean-spirited towards fans of the show. Mainly on the Halo subreddit, I've seen more than one person say they've lost faith in humanity because people like the show which is wild, or accusing fans of the show of being in an echo chamber because they say it's very popular (Which it is, review scores and viewing figures back it up) It's just a bit tiring when you see so much negativity surrounding it, I personally just try to avoid arguments about it, I like the show and I recognise that I'm probably not going to be able to convince someone who doesn't and similarly, I know they won't be able to convince me to dislike it.

I compare my viewing experience with this show to watch "Invasion." Season 2; for me at least, all the wackiness paid off. The way the plot lines of the characters can together at the end made sense. And I felt the connection of the flawed main protagonists. Can't wait for season 3! This Halo show just doesn't hit for me the same way. There's nothing about this version of MC that would make me root for or follow him into battle. It leaves me with the feeling the I'm just expected to JUST because I know he's supposed to be the MC. John-117 from the games and lore. And now there's literally nothing else that can be directly with Hasley ( one of the best written characters) unless they actually made a cure for the flood. Which would. You know..... And if we're all being honest, the games and lore and the the show being titled "Halo" is the very reason we sat down to watch from episode 1. Anyways without all my bla bla bla🤣. This MC flat out told us when he goes into battle, he knows dead ass everyone gonna die except HIM. And the show is hinting at its is will. Not skill. Not luck. 🤔 If I'm assigned to a missioninvolvingthis dude, I'm either asking for a reassignment or calling out sick.🤣🤣 Not gonna be his cannon fodder.😬😬😬
The only thing i dont like about the show is newcomers to halo will get this abridged version of the story and miss what could have been seasons of buildup to the fall of reach let alone the great journey
Yep, absolutely love it. Played since Halo CE. Sure, it's completely different to the games, but it's refreshing. I understand why the fans hate it, as it's completely different from the games lore. My only big complaint is how long they drag on what seems to be irrelevant stories with no action.
You have no idea of how the flood works, a spore needs to collect bio mass, the flood is so weak because of that compareed to other infections, without organic matter, it is just a thing unable to spread.
I know how the flood works. In the lore it took a while to affect the dogs. In this show they stood still it was dumb. They could have had it progressed but it was obviously rushed

The only thing i dont like about the show is newcomers to halo will get this abridged version of the story and miss what could have been seasons of buildup to the fall of reach let alone the great journey

Yep, absolutely love it. Played since Halo CE. Sure, it's completely different to the games, but it's refreshing. I understand why the fans hate it, as it's completely different from the games lore. My only big complaint is how long they drag on what seems to be irrelevant stories with no action.

The flood was so weak. No sense of horror or anything compared to H1. Playing dumb ass music and people standing still 😂
You have no idea of how the flood works, a spore needs to collect bio mass, the flood is so weak because of that compareed to other infections, without organic matter, it is just a thing unable to spread.
I know how the flood works. In the lore it took a while to affect the dogs. In this show they stood still it was dumb. They could have had it progressed but it was obviously rushed
