I remember those days when the Atabad disaster took place. I was feeling bad for the amount of time, effort and money put behind the construction of the road from Hussaini to Shishkat that submerged into the lake water. Those were hard days to travel via boats but thanks to the Chinese construction company for building the tunnel.

ĶKH is a marvel of engineering. I have traveled on this road from Islamabad to Khunjrab pass and back to Islamabad in 2007. The scenery is splendid and driving on this road is a real thrill. Hats off to the endurance and hardwork of both Pakistani and Chinese workforce.

Chinese had done a quite beautifull work on that highway with the help of modern engineering and after 8 to 9years this road look like the fresh build road 👌
