" I leave the bloody thing alone " best advice for most things in life
Kidneys reminded me of water 🤣
I could watch this a million times.
Attractive, natural, peaceful spot. I could see myself sitting out there and decompressing for an hour every night after work.
Turtles and terrapins like to roam the ditches and drains, too. I live in the city 1.5 miles from the river. I let the back garden grow up and ran over a big turtle with the lawnmower by mistake. He had his own little Eden for awhile. Sorry, big guy.
Pretty pond and a good lesson in what invasive plants can do if we are not responsible.
You are cute!
Gorgeous pond! So beautiful an natural...
Nice pond man, love to see what kinds of animals are living in your pond.
Lord, John - your song took me back to my teens! I wish I'd seen your videos before going to Waterford in 2011, then we could have seen your gardens.
at the beginning with the turtle swimming to you is awesome. the turtle loves you.
Nature does wonderful things if you step back and let it!
There is another youtube channel called 'the pondguru' from the U.K. and he has shown how to build a nice hibernaculum for reptiles for your pond. Might be a nice addition.
Lovely pond. Makes me remember my old pond from years ago. Used to get much pleasure from watching the fish, frogs, newts go about their daily business. One of my favourite ecosystems to observe and and enjoy. More people should build ponds not only for personal enjoyment but to help so many species in the UK continue to survive.
WhaT's that John??? More turtles you say??? 😈
That’s a nice pond. Although you get the sound of flowing water with your filters. I prefer Aquascape Ponds. Good diverse planting!
Great advice many thanks
Your pond is very similar to the new bio pools which they're creating now where a section of the pool is plants which clean the water instead of using chemicals.
LOL great!
Too right!
I still have purple loosestrife but keep it tightly controlled in a pot. Love it but it doesn't spread like crazy for me .. also have goodeneck loosestrife that is ironically not banned - yet. 🤷
Lovely, but do you ever have problems with mosquitoes?
These are red eared terrapins mass produced and imported from the USA for the pet trade a few years back. Luckily they don't breed in the UK (yet!).
Most of ours were put in without our knowledge. This is a common problem with public ponds
Im sorry i had to do it i had no choice😪😪😪
I threw the 🐊
