What I do David can help people, I made an additional 6-button pedal (original here too expensive), and I map his buttons to use various functions on the looper. I identify each button with the function. It is like having 6 more buttons. I'm still an apprentice in the music field. If you had your dexterity when using musical skills and ear, you would make a practical video, as you do with mastery.
If you know that when you stop your loop that you won't use it again, you can double tap and hold the one button loop switch to stop then erase the loop. You don't need to hear the snippet of the loop then when you erase it.
Hey Dave...your pro tip videos are wonderful...I've had my VL3X for almost 2 years always learning something new and your right a software update could maybe make it into a multirac looper from the 6 switch....backing tracks, stored loops and of the like continue to be a challenge but I'm happy to have my stage foot print smaller and the main unit off the floor because I play at the beach...thanks Dave

Hi Cyril! Enjoy the VL3! Plug your iphone into the AUX input on the VL3 (you'll need an iphone headphone adaptor most likely depending on which iphone model you have).

David - does the Seq Rec (sequence record) (not sure if this was from the firmware 2.2.00 336 update post your original video) “sorta” fix this problem by allowing you to record a,b and c with the seq rec button programmed on the switch 6 and then have other buttons programmed to loop triggers?

Hi Craig and Dave! Craig the video Dave linked is perfect - John Paul's setup is what I would personally do so that you have separate control at the mixer of both your guitar and vocal channels.
Hi David. What is the main reason you would use switch 6 for looping? Is it easier to hit the pedals if they are all in a line so you don’t accidentally hit buttons when using vl3 for looping? I may have a work around. Thanks again for the videos.
heya! That main reason is to access different options without having to change screens. You can program what you want onto the Switch 6, or do the same with any of the buttons via the buttonmap on the VL3 itself. No need for the switch 6, it's simply a nice option for programming 👌
