- In June 2024, a group of young Christians from a local church visited the Muslim Community Center (MCC) in Chicago for an enlightening session to explore and understand Islam. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the masjid, an engaging Q&A session, and educational insights into Islamic practices and beliefs. You should try listen to Mufti Menk, he also speaks straight to everyone but it doesn't give scars even if it hits your butt, most of his lectures are encouraging and inspirational.
He isn’t a scholar. Just a teacher… unfortunately we all use the word scholar today very loosely, but a scholar in Islam is someone that’s studied for 20-30 plus years and has the highest authority and can’t make laws for current times etc

Id like to comment on when he was talking about the times of prayer. The correct thing to say is that it is MANDATORY to pray on one specific time 5 times a day. The time slots are only ok if you have a reason for not praying on time, like your running late cuz you got stuck somewhere or something like that. Prayers otherwise have to be prayed on time not in the time slots

Juwairiyah (radhi Allaahu anha) reported that one day the Prophet, peace be upon him, left her apartment in the morning as she was busy observing her dawn prayer in her place of worship. He came back in the forenoon and she was still sitting there. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said to her, “You have been in the same place since I left you?” She said, “Yes.” Thereupon the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “I recited four words three times after I left you and if these were to be weighed against what you have recited since morning these would outweigh them, and these words are:
سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه
Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi: ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi wa midaada kalimaatihi.
Glory is to Allaah and praise is to Him, by the multitude of his creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words (Recite 3 times in Arabic)

تخيل انك تخرج للذهاب للمسجد ٥ مرات ، تستطيع ان تتعرف على جيرانك والمجتمع بشكل افضل ، وبما انك مسلم هناك الامر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر ،، وهذا الخروج سينتهي بنبذ المفاسد بالطرقات ونشر الامان ومساعدة المحتاج واعانة للضعيف و ٱمان المرأة عند خروجها .
عدا عن التحابب بافشاء السلام ، والتواضع عند السجود ونبذ للعنصرية وتهذيب للنفس .
هذا هو العمل الصالح الذي اراد الله به ركن وسببا بعد الايمان لدخولنا الجنة .
اللهم يثبتكم على دين الحق دين لامثيل له الي يطيع الله والرسول ص يفوز فوز ويدخل الجنة ة الي يترك الشرك بالله بس الي مايترك الشرك يذهب للجحيم
