true, newton's first law "mass attracts mass". also mass produces force. so even if he hits the ball harder, his own mass would increase resulting in a greater attraction of said ball...

I feel like when you're that size, you've got so much mass it doesn't actually move you that much. Like picture a grown man getting hit in the head with a basketball versus an 8 year old. While it doesn't feel good for the man, the 8 year old gets flattened by it.

That's the crazy part, he wasn't even an oly lifter to begin with. He started powerlifting as a high school freshman, and had a 2033 lb singleply total by the time he graduated. He transitioned to olympic lifting at 19 and was competing at the olympics within two years. 3 years later he went back to powerlifting and totaled 2314 raw. The man was on another level.

Just stumbled across this and remember seeing the Ronnie Coleman beach running video. It was sometime in the early 2000s when he was Mr. Olympia and it was a segment on a late night talk show (I remember Jimmy Kimmel, but could have been Leno). Been too long to fully remember so might be wrong but it was a segment see if the man on the street reporter could compete with the Mr Olympia. Obvious joke was that it was competitions that were incredibly random.
