  • This is a video of an awesome junkyard in central minnesota. Most of the images were taken in -18 below weather. It is always a great time even when you come home empty handed. The last two are of my project car in my garage. Enjoy! And many thanks to French Lake Auto Salvage!

    At one time these cars were someone's pride and joy. I wish I could hear the story of each of the cars.

    Never wanted to be like my old man and miss the old days, but when it comes to cars, I do. They did not last as long as todays cars and were maintenance nightmares, but they had style. Now every car looks the same from 50 feet away.

    My first car at 19 in 1999 was a 1973 Buick Centrury! Made a couple trips to french lake, just for the sights.

    Cool what you find in the glove boxes too. I also found an old Mountain Dew bottle that was worth a few bucks.

    Yes sorry this "video" "pictoral" started out for myself, I was just playing with windows picture maker and made this "collage". Yes I love the 65, so most of the pictures are of that car. I thought the music was good, just found that as well, I did the video in about 10 minutes, so not a lot of thought went into it, but for those who liked it I am glad, for those who didn't I am sorry.....

    Last time I was there they had a 64 wagon and blue convert in the video, and I think one 64 4 door. I can't recall other 64's they have 5 or so 65's.

    Thank barrydawoodsman. The place is too huge for coverage. I have been there many a time in the summer and winter. Rust never sleeps! I should get some more photos this fall and make another montage. Thanks for checking out my vid!

    Pick a Saturday get there at 8 when they open and you will be amazed that by 1:00 when they close, you wish you had more time to look. Bring a wagon for your tools, my shoulder bag cuts into me after a few hours! You must go if you love old cars!

    Keep your heads held high all you cars. You're not there because you're failures or worthless. You had good full lives and you served your owners well for years Im sure. Now's your time to rest, think of it as retirement.. just never feel worthless.

    I discovered this place about four years ago and Iv'e pulled many good parts out of this old bone yard. Into mopars and let me tell you there are not many left...they crush quite a few every year. Best time to go is late fall when there's little growth of grass. They should also pay me for this great advertising...ha, ha...

  • @maniac1972
    @maniac1972 10 років тому

    Up yours 446hemi! Go to a junkyard and take your own photos and take the time to share them with your mopar buddies, read my previous comments. I appreciate all cars, and I appreciate this junkyard. I don't appreciate garbage comments. You are such a bright person, yes I like chevys, major wood!

    Dude I wanted to make a FLAP montage. Did you buy chance see the complete, I would guess mid to late 40's tow truck. It was complete and it had a manual winch on it. It was awesome. I hoping to get either that one or a complete 49 ford I found. I soent 4 hours there this past summer checking it out. Oh did ya hear its up for sale for a cool 14 milion. Wanna go in half with me. I had a cabin on fench lake for 20+ years and never once went inside that place. Biy was I missing out.

    hellomcflyy. ....the first car you see there is the most full. Many others are quite empty, but there are a few that had old pop bottles and what not. And quite the opposite, I wouldn't laugh at something like that you are talking to a person that gets it.....I will get there again in a month or two hopefully , it is an hour and 20 minutes away. SO I will look and let you know if I find anything, that does not have mouse damage.
