- This is a video of an awesome junkyard in central minnesota. Most of the images were taken in -18 below weather. It is always a great time even when you come home empty handed. The last two are of my project car in my garage. Enjoy! And many thanks to French Lake Auto Salvage!

best junkyard video.
lots of beautiful cars.
and the music is also cool.
At one time these cars were someone's pride and joy. I wish I could hear the story of each of the cars.
Never wanted to be like my old man and miss the old days, but when it comes to cars, I do. They did not last as long as todays cars and were maintenance nightmares, but they had style. Now every car looks the same from 50 feet away.
I been there a few times, being i live in Minnesota. Cool video and I gave a thumbs up for you.
This is paradise people!!!!!!
Texas has this best junk yards for old cars
I WANT ALL OF THESE CARS!!!!!
These cars have souls every time I see these movies as I think it would nto could talk I would like to ask everyone that stands in such junkyards as was kiedyc drove such cars as beautiful and wonderful and now I stand and wait there until they take on the last trip as I could save her, but everyone would greet coz I can not get
So glad i live 20 minutes from there. Cant wait till im 17 so i can go in alone
For being here in Minnesota they look pretty good considering the winters we get.
hell yeah bro. as long as there is one person with your view, there is still hope.
wow... theres alot of treasures in that junkyard!
I'm glad I live in MN. I'm gonna make damn sure I visit this place.
My first car at 19 in 1999 was a 1973 Buick Centrury! Made a couple trips to french lake, just for the sights.
Cool what you find in the glove boxes too. I also found an old Mountain Dew bottle that was worth a few bucks.
nice vid
Yes sorry this "video" "pictoral" started out for myself, I was just playing with windows picture maker and made this "collage". Yes I love the 65, so most of the pictures are of that car. I thought the music was good, just found that as well, I did the video in about 10 minutes, so not a lot of thought went into it, but for those who liked it I am glad, for those who didn't I am sorry.....
Some sweet old International Harvesters in there...
Great video, looks cold!
If i were to win Millions of bucks, i would try to restore as many of these as possible.
junk yards are spooky and cool.
cool video,i got a mint dash pad and a posi for my 63 grand prix there!too bad i didnt get the four speed setup, dohhhhhhhhh
Last time I was there they had a 64 wagon and blue convert in the video, and I think one 64 4 door. I can't recall other 64's they have 5 or so 65's.
this looks like Wal-marts parking lot on black friday
Thank barrydawoodsman. The place is too huge for coverage. I have been there many a time in the summer and winter. Rust never sleeps! I should get some more photos this fall and make another montage. Thanks for checking out my vid!
Pick a Saturday get there at 8 when they open and you will be amazed that by 1:00 when they close, you wish you had more time to look. Bring a wagon for your tools, my shoulder bag cuts into me after a few hours! You must go if you love old cars!
Keep your heads held high all you cars. You're not there because you're failures or worthless. You had good full lives and you served your owners well for years Im sure. Now's your time to rest, think of it as retirement.. just never feel worthless.
I discovered this place about four years ago and Iv'e pulled many good parts out of this old bone yard. Into mopars and let me tell you there are not many left...they crush quite a few every year. Best time to go is late fall when there's little growth of grass. They should also pay me for this great advertising...ha, ha...
Up yours 446hemi! Go to a junkyard and take your own photos and take the time to share them with your mopar buddies, read my previous comments. I appreciate all cars, and I appreciate this junkyard. I don't appreciate garbage comments. You are such a bright person, yes I like chevys, major wood!
Dude I wanted to make a FLAP montage. Did you buy chance see the complete, I would guess mid to late 40's tow truck. It was complete and it had a manual winch on it. It was awesome. I hoping to get either that one or a complete 49 ford I found. I soent 4 hours there this past summer checking it out. Oh did ya hear its up for sale for a cool 14 milion. Wanna go in half with me. I had a cabin on fench lake for 20+ years and never once went inside that place. Biy was I missing out.
been by this place.... i want to go on a damn shopping spree there.....
I just want to stay here now for the rest of my life.
HELL YES I'm a Minnesotan! Not too familiar with the Annandale area though. That is a crying shame, leave it to us to subject these poor things to those conditions :(
minnesota is cool
This is down by St. cloud heard about it but never been there.
its like a mall parking lot in the 70s but everyone just left there cars there to rot. :(
hellomcflyy. ....the first car you see there is the most full. Many others are quite empty, but there are a few that had old pop bottles and what not. And quite the opposite, I wouldn't laugh at something like that you are talking to a person that gets it.....I will get there again in a month or two hopefully , it is an hour and 20 minutes away. SO I will look and let you know if I find anything, that does not have mouse damage.
I have been there this July 2009 and have got parts to my Impala 62. Very good service!
Check out "Salvage yard MN "on the tube.
It´s very big over 13000 cars.
im from mn i think might have to go here
fd1836 Is windy hill that good, the website really doesn't show that many cars, is it comparable to french lake in terms of variety of cars and quantity?
@Dreambro1 In my opion I love the old cars but I still love the new cars too... I hate big rims still though. But I like the small cars 2 hehe.
Please save that 64 chevelle convert!!!
chevy pickup at 2:45 (cries)
How does it look like now? In 2021?
i wish i was a BILLIONARE, also WHO sings the song ?
I'd like to reawakin one...
They will come back don't worry
I would need a muscle car from U.S. to Sweden as there is no title on which I can use as a race car. there is no getting hold of this: (
0:58 this is plymouth fury-christine -Let it take someone from there:( poor baby
0:52 68 Chevelle!
Lots of Chevelles
The reason they're there is too high of prices.
hmm - the junkyard I went to - the cars were pretty empty - but these look like they have a lot of junk in them - do you go here a lot ....Im looking for (don't laugh) like....1970s-1990s wrappers and chip bags and fast food stuff....etc - feel like making a few bucks?.....

please, im beggging you, stop the madness in this video! rescue these poor cars.
i know the ower
why is all these good old classics sitting around rusting away intstead of being restored :( and driver
it's a damn shame ,i know floyd the owner, and his son sterling ,and other sons..and it sucks that they have changed french lake !!!! they have cleaned out most of the cool old cars and have gone to more modern shit boxes...not like it was when i was a teenager .and not even like when this vid was shot :( makes me sad......
cool video. gay music
this video makes me sad
this vid is sad =(
obviously the person posting this video has a hardon for old chevys.....whats the big deal with old chevys? Millions in old junk yards......with all the other old cars in the yard the person failed to take one photo of any of them.....no mopars or fords
tholse are real cars not computerized pieces of junk we have today.
