I have both the shoe and mids in leather. With the leather option comes gore-tex. Also there are 5 different soles from soft to hard rubber, depending if you care more for the colour of the upper than you do the for the grip of the sole.
@@cravetheplanet Can't fault them at all. Lots of rain where i live, is why i choose the leather/gore-tex option. Got a good deal on the mids, was so impressed i paid more than i wanted to for the shoe. So that would be a, yes.
This was my favorite hiking shoe of all time until a few yrs ago. The altra also hurt my feet and going back to them. Hard to adjust back to the tight toe box of the ultra raptor though.
I got my shoes yesterday, I was very glad, but after the inspection I noticed how much glue there is and for some reason on the sides, just below the inscription «la sportiva» where the side holders, there is a hole, I don’t even know if it should be like that 😢
I think it’s venting - mine have done well in mud this spring drying out quickly but they are def not waterproof but I don’t really like that. They are much more durable than the altras but stiffer too. Trying to get my hand on some Topos athletic but their site is wonky
I also thought about it, that they don’t have goretex and they should be well ventilated, I saw another review of the first version of raptors, they said that they were a little hot
@@Chalenger911 I don’t think they are hot- but I don’t hike in 40 degrees. At that temp it’s hard to tell. Maybe some hiking groups in mororovo Jordan etc would have recs

You must love them?

How well do they blow in hot weather? I plan to use them at a temperature of 30-40 degrees
I don’t know- I’ve not been in such weather for a multi day hike yet. They are not waterproof however so the airflow is pretty good.
