6:09 I'm a certified bowling coach, and those arrows you pointed out to Donnie is exactly what I teach the kids to aim for. Why kids? Because I coach the youth bowling league that I used to participate in. You could easily be a coach too, Matt.
johnny, you must be curving your palm at the last moment some of those times without even realizing it, with a little more practice your throwing hand will grow used to the right angle of which to throw, since the ball was going to the right and into the gutter, you gotta angle your palm more to the left
There are many mechanics involved with bowling. I've been bowling for 8 years and I'm on many different leagues and go to many tournaments. And yes people do get lucky but trust me it's not easy, many things are involved
My highest score in bowling is 235. Donnie is dropping his hand to the right he is not following through. He is not holding the ball firmly in his hand. He is also dropping it next to his feet. FIRMLY GRASP IT!!! :)
I’m a bowler when you said Brooklyn I was like aye he knows what he’s talking about. The heavier the ball doesn’t change anything. It’s how many revelations it has. House balls won’t hook. You have to have a certain ball with a core for it to hook. You did amazing tho!
The reason it’s getting close to he gutter is because, your move to much over to the right, move left. Second your not following through so when you get up there your hand turns the other direction.
I've bowled 2 300 games. I'm thinking of making a bowling channel because of it. You might think how is that possible. The main advice I can give to Donnie is use your middle and ring finger. Another thing is. While throwing a straight ball (like you are) you want to come in at an angle. You want to find a mark you are comfortable and want to try to get as close to that mark as many times as possible. After bowling a lot you can tell where your mark is on that certain lane after 2-3 shots. Bowling is a game on precision and if you really want to become a great bowler you should 1. Go more often. 2. Do research about bowling (not required but it could never hurt). Possibly trying to eventually spin the ball. The easiest way to do that is to take your thumb out. It causes you to create revolutions on the ball which causes it to curve in the oil. 3. Learn about the oil on the lane. Once you can tell what the oil pattern is then you can predict everything a lot better. Personally as someone who bowls about 240 as my average I can say bowling is one of the Hardest sports out there because of all the fine tuning and a 1,000 things can go wrong at a time.
Matt at 14:13 when shooting something like the 5,7 or the 5,10 you want to hit the right side of the 5 pin when you have the 5,7 standing and the opposite for the 5,10. Now when you can go in between is when you have either the 2,7 or the 3,10 baby split
@Donnie - The common mistake for newbies is trying to bowl around your hips. You need to kick your right leg out behind you and to the left, like Matt was doing, to get your hips out of the way. Otherwise, your arm will swing wide and send it anywhere but where you want it. 6:45 - You started bowling a lot better right here. See how you kicked your right leg behind your left on the 2nd bowl? That's more like it. Also, if you find that you're still going into the right gutter, you can move yourself closer to the right gutter. Seems counter-intuitive, but you'll subconsciously throw the ball left to avoid the gutter.
Donnie, slow down on your approach go further back on your back swing and on your release. Keep your wrist behind the ball. The tip I give all my friends is to imagine you are shaking hands with the reflection of the pins. Hope that helps
You guys did well. 1. My Suggestion for Donnie next time if he plays again is more Control of the Ball 2. What were the Weights of the Balls you guys used? (I personally use a Big-Fingered 10 Pounder)
General things I watch out for are keeping my shoulders straight, landing on the opposite foot of your throwing hand, looking at the arrows and not the pins, bringing the ball straight back and fourth without bringing the ball behind your back, and then just maintaining eye contact with the arrows on the lane before you look up at the pins. To generate spin, you’ll wanna release the ball with your hand underneath the ball rather than on top. When you release the ball with your hand underneath it, make sure to touch your right (or left depending on your throwing hand) ear to practice rotating the ball. Hope this helps!!
Where is this? I recently was looking for some arcades near this camp I go to with family, and found one with a bowling alley, arcade, and a laser tag (in Pennsylvania)
If your a left-hander always do the one from the middle on your left or vice versa for the right when looking at the markers on the floor when doing your first goes im telling you this because I'm a professional 10 pin bowler well used to be before my disability got too intense and too painful forcing me to quit a few years back but still know enough about it to give advice x hope this helps you out xxx
Next time you go bowling tell Donnie to move to the left til that arrow to the left of the center lines up with his right shoulder and look at those like you said. He's leaning to the right. He should try leaning forward a little and straight up. Go Donnie Go Donnie Go Donnie! You need to go bowling again.
DONNIE's BOWLING: He's bowling with his pointer and middle finger instead of his middle and ring finger. The other thing is that he is kind of letting his arm go away from him instead of strait. Also, he's releasing early.
As in the bowling alley itself? Haven't got a clue but seeing the "suite 28" reference at 6:57 I'd hazard a guess at Zone 28 Do Zone 28 even have bowling alleys? I don't know, I don't live in the US :p
Bring your hand over the ball for more spin and pin action, it also helps your curve (which is called hook) Also you should bowl a bit more inward to get your by to the sweet spot (which is the side of the head pin, not the middle, shocking I know) You could look some things up on UA-cam to increase your score, spin, pin action, and release. And I suggest you look at professional bowling on UA-cam and look at the curve (hook) that they get.
Your friend's swing is off. The reason why the ball is either going wide left or wide right is because he either brings his arm to the outside, or crosses it through his body. Great vid anyways! Hope we can maybe bowl together sometime in the future!
I actually won a "Eat a Warhead" contest at the Sweets and Snacks expo in Chicago. There were three of us and we all had to hold a Warhead in our mouths and whomever could keep it in their mouths to the end wins. I won a baseball cap, poster, and a tee shirt!
I’m really good at bowling my high is 205 and what you doing wrong is foot is suppose to go in front of each other and yours is going to the side. And another this is that all fora particular arrow and aim for that. Try that out.
What's your highest score in bowling? Ready.... GO!
My highest is a 162 and I’m 11
I bowl in multiple different leagues. My highest is a 299.
I am in a bowling league so get a different score every week but my highest is 154

LOL you live in pittsburgh and dont know who leveon bell is, but you can explain what a brooklyn strike is! lolol you the best!
"Alright, one little pin, lets see if we can get him!"
"or her"
"depending on its gender"
6:09 I'm a certified bowling coach, and those arrows you pointed out to Donnie is exactly what I teach the kids to aim for. Why kids? Because I coach the youth bowling league that I used to participate in. You could easily be a coach too, Matt.
Ya'll should try Black Cherry Warheads, they are the most sour ones!
lilred93lily forgot about those ones!
those are my favorite
lilred93lily I love those ones!
That is the sweetest lilred93lily
They taste better too
Should eat them every frame. 1 for every pin not knocked down.
Slow down and release later. He is releasing to early
not just that but he is twisting his body to the right and the backswing is slightly crossing behind him. and also his grip on the ball.
To add on, his arm swing is very flimsy and wild. Arm should go start back, straight forward with your release.
He’s also bowling with his pointer and middle finger
Or if Donny is consistent with that throw move your feet left on the lane
Charles Knapp yea
johnny, you must be curving your palm at the last moment some of those times without even realizing it, with a little more practice your throwing hand will grow used to the right angle of which to throw, since the ball was going to the right and into the gutter, you gotta angle your palm more to the left
This video is awesome

The reason it’s getting close to he gutter is because, your move to much over to the right, move left. Second your not following through so when you get up there your hand turns the other direction.

one of my favorite types of vids

👍 video. You guys make great comedians.
Great video arcade matt
Great job matt.
Matt, make a collab with Piggy or Goober! 😻
Awesome! Thanks for the advice too.
Hi my friend Matt i like bowling
Bowling?!?!?! Nice!
I love bowling and I like your video
The arrows keep your skill perfect and concentrated
How convenient, Matt went and picked up a friend who's never bowled in his life
That bowling alley is dead 😂😂
Love the intro
Donnie, slow down on your approach go further back on your back swing and on your release. Keep your wrist behind the ball. The tip I give all my friends is to imagine you are shaking hands with the reflection of the pins. Hope that helps
What about some arcade games right next to you in the bowling place
josh kerbel He probably played them. If he did, the video will probably be uploaded in the future.
You guys did well.
1. My Suggestion for Donnie next time if he plays again is more Control of the Ball
2. What were the Weights of the Balls you guys used? (I personally use a Big-Fingered 10 Pounder)
Meattt....you should be a bowler. Great video, son.
Woah!! 2 lemon warheads!?!?! Crazy guy!
Warheads are amazeballs. I’d lose every game on purpose
Sour warheads. Bec loves them. 😝
matt u need your own ball
General things I watch out for are keeping my shoulders straight, landing on the opposite foot of your throwing hand, looking at the arrows and not the pins, bringing the ball straight back and fourth without bringing the ball behind your back, and then just maintaining eye contact with the arrows on the lane before you look up at the pins. Poor Donnie! But what a good sport! Bowling is better than golfing! LOL ~
Big Lebowski: Matt3756 Edition
My favorite bowling sports every Friday
Where is this? I recently was looking for some arcades near this camp I go to with family, and found one with a bowling alley, arcade, and a laser tag (in Pennsylvania)

Arcade warrior on his last 20s lmao
For any type of bowling, I always stick to bumpers. :)
What place is this
As in the bowling alley itself? Haven't got a clue but seeing the "suite 28" reference at 6:57 I'd hazard a guess at Zone 28
Do Zone 28 even have bowling alleys? I don't know, I don't live in the US :p
In the words of Walter from The Big Lebowski, "Donnie, you're out of your element!" :o)
2:28 because you're using a house ball. They aren't meant to curve. You gave great form tho, you hook it a tiny bit
You owe me a drink Matt
I think Donnie should watch a little PBA action and try to get some ideas.
Did anybody notice That Donnie hit "The Greek Church"
I'm a backhand bowler
You need to start with the five-step approach so start off with your left leg going until he end up with your left leg again
Jay Fisher shut up with I'm better than you
3:22 Everything
Bring your hand over the ball for more spin and pin action, it also helps your curve (which is called hook)
Also you should bowl a bit more inward to get your by to the sweet spot (which is the side of the head pin, not the middle, shocking I know)
You could look some things up on UA-cam to increase your score, spin, pin action, and release.
And I suggest you look at professional bowling on UA-cam and look at the curve (hook) that they get.
Is That gauge bowling
My grandpa was a professional bowler. Rule numero uno always bowl like you are shaking someone's hand.
Your friend's swing is off. The reason why the ball is either going wide left or wide right is because he either brings his arm to the outside, or crosses it through his body. Great vid anyways! Hope we can maybe bowl together sometime in the future!

When you go bowling again aim for the pocket which is the head pin and the pins next to it k
where are these places at
im to compeitive for bowling even though im in a league i love this video
Matt, the way I wish I bowled, Donny, the way I actually bowl
I’m really good at bowling my high is 205 and what you doing wrong is foot is suppose to go in front of each other and yours is going to the side. And another this is that all fora particular arrow and aim for that. Try that out.
Little_ Mister I totally agree. I've seen lots of things that gone wrong. My high game is 199 I bowl in 2 leagues
Little_ Mister my average is higher than that
Little_ Mister in league, mines a 203, in tournaments, 214
Good job Mattie Matt. Just be you.
Use a little bit of rosin on your fingers to help hold the ball
I actually tried eating 3 at once and my mouth was bleeding.😂😂😂
Really good
