While the Mass Effect games are limited, its universe and lore is not. Those that love tabletop RPGs and strategy games could fully invest themselves in creating their own ME-themed adventure. If the story takes place during the Reaper Invasion then combat missions could even be played in the ME3 multiplayer, where different species and classes are selected to the most approximate character. Any race, occupation, history, and present circumstance can be brainstormed to form your character and begin the adventure. Prejudice, predispositions, and motives towards other players facilitate interactions given how ME is as much a drama as it is an action adventure epic. If you have read this far, recognize the potential that this franchise can live on in other forms, and this "creation" theme can inspire more creation than just Commander Shepard.
im sure ill do another series run too at some point and during that ill do ME3 with all DLC and do the citadel DLC stuff as it opens up. should be a great way to play the game.

Look at MEHEM mod or John P Alternate MEHEM Mod, Citadel Epilogue Mod, JAM, etc... On the website Nexus Mods. There are very very good mods for ME3 on this website like ALOT, Expanded Galaxy Mod, MEHEM, Spectre Expansion, Omega Hub, Backoff, ME3Recalibrated, CEM etc...
Omega is fun for what it is, but it is not relevant in any way to the main plot nor does it have anything to do with or even let you use squad mates from the core game. I only recommend it if you are a huge ME fan and just need more in whatever form you can get it in. Citadel on the other hand, is a must... for the most part.
