I don’t think I’ll be winning any competitions for that at the moment. But it’s funny how it’s always me who has to go out on deck during the rain storms isn’t it. 😂
The big concern here has been that the atolls could crack open in a land slide and what that would do to the nearby environment. It’s amazing that it’s all still an ongoing political concern.
My great uncle was on Easter Island for the UKs four nuclear tests in 1958. Zuckerberg, as well as his boat with it’s support boat… owns 1400 acres on Kauai with a massive underground survival area.
@@RedSeasyeah there were… sadly my dad and all his brothers are dead now. But yeah he described the whole thing to me. And he was seriously ill afterwards. My grandfather was in the Navy and fought in both wars. He was a Chief Petty Officer and went to South Africa in WW2 to train some of their Navy. Finally decommissioned he was in charge of a civilian fleet in 1942 heading back to the UK to a job with Met Police on the Thames… and was sunk by German ship which didn’t stop to pick anyone up from the sea. Yeah, we were chatting with Brian about Nanni back in Annapolis. Both of ours have been incredible. Never miss a beat and super fuel efficient. Delos are doing things a little differently as they are only installing one Nanni and then dual electric drives but they still picked a great engine manufacturer to partner with. Nanni are legends. Love em’!
Geez guys you didn’t sail close enough to have the French navy race out to chase you out, you would think that the environment would have changed by now with all the open air and water, How strong could the French make them anyway, surely nothing like the US. , What a beautiful sailing passage you are enjoying and with the sinker up, how great this is ! we definatley had to change course to make sure we stayed far enough away. those french navy guys dont mess around. 😅 Still cant believe our luck with the wind. perfectly in the spin window AND aft of the beam!! wild
All you need now is your yellow rubber duck 🦆…thsn you can have fun splashing around 😝
It feels like that today. Pouring it down here right now. So much so, our Internet keeps dropping out
Oh no Iains’s gone green, radioactive now 🫣
It was only a matter of time. Let’s be honest
Great episode guys.
I knew France did Nuclear testing there, however I didn't knew they did so many.
Thanks! It’s crazy what went on out here. I’ve read various reports of between 120 and 200 tests were carried out in the atolls.
Fly the kite….. Looks really good
Cheers! We absolutely love it. Such a game changer for our long passages
FAB Iain.
Rodger Rodger.
I heard the three eyed grouper taste amazing in that part of the world.
All the more to go around 😊
Iain’s superpower, soggy wet t shirt man 😂…. After all the splashing 🤡

You can still see the craters on the aerial maps for Bikini atoll from the Castle tests.

But but, you both will be glowing and can see in the dark. So it will be fine arriving at night 🫣
I would still take wolverine claws over glow in the dark any day 😂
I thought I spotted a two headed dolphin 🐬, did you see it, it was glowing green too 😵💫
Going to have to scroll back on that one now. I hope both heads get on with each other.
Great episode guys!
Thank you for taking the time out to hang with us. Hope we got the chance to put a smile on your face too

Well done guys. Just saw Delos is putting the same engines on their new catamaran. How have yours been holding up?

The theoretical birthplace of Godzilla.
No way! I didn’t join the dots on that but I can totally imagine Godzilla climbing out of the lagoon looking a little bit angry.
If anyone was going to invent Thunderbirds I could believe, given the budget, you would!
🤣 we have the imagination and (at least one of us has) the paper mache skills. Just need to study a few old blue peter tapes before we get started 😂
