I love the idea of having an AdmiralTrench. He only recently showed up in Galxay of Heroes (though he's a pain to farm) and he looks great. Embo's a solid choice too. Seems like he'd turn out well. He'd require about a 60-70% tooling and would probably sell really well. Make 'em & double him up in the box, Hasbro!

Based on your "i'd like some background/animated stuff but it wouldn't sell" What about a Satine Kyrze her finale outfit when Obiwan was attempting to rescue her.. but in a Two pack with Obiwan in the Mandalorian armor- its a easy repack of the Maul trooper with a Kenobi head and a lightsaber! As much as i loathe the two packs this might be perfect. I'd also love to see one of the Speeders from TCW, they could do a Nightowl female on one, Along with Bo-katan in her younger look on a cardback using sabines body?
I'm all for that! Obi Wan in Mandalore was a great story arc, I want more figures and vehicles from that period. We definitely need those Mando air speeders.

They Seat Bo and Koska pretty well but the male tvc figures are abit too large, it'd also be a great way of getting out a variant figure. Release the Blue/Grey nightowl on standard speeder (female) and Grey/Blue on a cardback (there is one coming) Then Re-release like the speeder a Maul Red coloured one with Red/black Supercommando (female) and release a Black/Red on a card. That'd give us all a reason to grab a couple of speeders, and if they wanna later release the speeder paint jobs in a four pack, two of each (annouced along side the speeder release) that way we can buy a couple of speeders- and army build them later. But i dream of things that wont happen lol Would be the best way to get Obiwans girlfriend done though and anyway they release the speeder would open it up to custom.
Apollo Creed was awesome same as Predetor & Action Jackson but I loved him in the Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore where he plays the golf teacher called Chubbs Peterson & he wrestled an alligator but lost his hand & so had a hook arm!! That role was bloody hilarious I loved him as that character. I wish he had done more comedy roles cause he was so damn hilarious!! RIP he was a legend of an actor for many of us growing up watching him in Rocky & Predator movies etc!!
I am very much a proponent of a TVC Figure Dream Pack of Cantina Aliens! And I think if Hasbro does that, it should be in conjunction with a separate offering of a TVC Cantina (think the Boba Fett's throne room release). It's all about coordination though.

🤔Question for next week BB, with the recent Darth Reven & Jedi Reven, HK-47 & also the reissue of Starkiller which all where top of the list for most collectors & did extremely well in sales which is always great for the TVC line. I think this is an indication that Hasbro should give us more Expanded Universe characters from comics like Exar Kun & Darth Bane that I want to see in TVC as do many collectors. Any chance we could see more figures like this in the line this year & what if any do you want from EU?

QFNW: For a couple of weeks running Hasbro has dropped some new products by surprise. And it's been refreshing and welcome. While we knew about the "Escape from Order 66" 4-pack, the E-Wing was a complete surprise. What are your thoughts on this style of product drop that doesn't immediately following a Hasbro livestream? Do you expect that we might get another reveal this week? And do you think it would be something we've seen announced before, or another surprise item? Side note - with the Bad Batch season 3 premiere this coming Wednesday, it seems like an opportunity for a great surprise product drop related to the series.

Why do you think Hasbro decided to announce that they’re celebrating all the prequels this year, versus focusing solely on the anniversary of TPM like they did with RoTJ in 2023? Do you think there’s still some reluctance based on the TMP 3D roll-out? I’m really hoping we’ll get newly sculpted figures for Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon from TPM, since I’m really not a fan of their current TVC iterations. Are there any TPM updates or new sculpts you’d like to see?
QFNW: Could you see hasbro doing the Naboo royal starfighter as a haslab vehicle. I’ve always wanted an updated one as the original doesn’t hold up the best and is quite underscaled. I feel like it would work well as there are so many characters that could go with it and so much playability.
QFNW: With 2024 being the final season of The Bad batch, do you think we will finally get the rest of Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) in the TVC line?? We already got Hunter, but there has yet to be Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Crosshair, and Omega in the TVC 3.75" line.
I wish I was still interested enough in Star Wars that I was still collecting the figures, because the ones in the classic style packs are extremely tempting, even now. The PT killed it for me though I'm afraid. I still like the OT though, especially ANH and ESB, and it's interesting to keep up to date on the releases of the aforementioned figures in the classic packaging.
Hey, great video as always Bossk! I'm 100% with you that Oola is my top "Long Shot" pick for a character I think the line desperately NEEDS but they will never make. I would love it if they did like a Jabba's Palace 3 or 4 pack (maybe two needed repacks and two new sculpts) as a Pulse exclusive or (even better) a online exclusive and worked a new Oola in one of the new figures. They could even use parts from her to make other secondary or back ground characters like Garsa Fwip (TBOBF) or Ayy Vida (AOTC) if they wanted to do a deep cut pack for Prequel fans. I mean, if Disney/Lucasfilm is going to continue the "tradition" of putting at least one female Twi'lek in every Star Wars show and movie, for us to spot, they can't ignore that Oola was the first. Online exclusives would be the best way of getting the figure into the hands of collectors while avoiding negative PR for making a "sexist" character. (which I still don't get since around here Star Wars figures are usually in the same isle as WWE and Marvel legends, and WWE has literal figures of female wrestlers in lingerie, and Marvel keeps making Emma Frost...)

QFNW: There seems to be an almost obsessive belief in the TVC community that a Mos Eisley Cantina playset should be a Haslab campaign. But having seen the way Hasbro made the Boba Fett Throne Room, with wider availability of that set, along with the probably demand for a Cantina, that Throne Room sales model seems like it might be a preferable way to go. What do you think of offering the Cantina in that format AND having a coordinated Haslab campaign for a Cantina Alien figure dream pack? A figure dream pack like that could possibly include some of the biggest deep cut characters from the Cantina. And given the way the mainline has been planned over the past several years it seems like one of the few ways to get some of those characters.

I remember getting Mamow Nadon in the Saga collection and being blown away, I thought he was the definitive version. Then TVC came along and it looks like Hasbro could add more articulation to him. But the saga collection version was pretty well done, but if he had more articulation, even better.

I didn't really like the Obi-Wan Kenobi series as well, but now that i already have a lot of figures from the show, i wonder why they still haven't done Little Leia yet? She's one of the main characters and is badly missing from my display.

The ship will be a great addition but what do you think will be the next creation by Hasbro in regards to vehicles. I feel like the E-Wing idea was pulled from the polls that were done in early 2023 via FB groups and perhaps that will give us an idea? I know there are a lot of questions coming to you so I am going to add another incase this one gets through. Do you think that the Ghost ship and the Sail Barge are good examples of the maximum size a Haslab could be, or is there a possibility that a release could be larger? Until next week!

I agree with you that there are a lot of Prequel characters more prominent than Daultay Dofine (even if they’re not major characters) who would be great additions to the line. In fact, #1 on my March Madness list is Wat Tambor.
The 2019/2020 Hasbro livestreams had a logo that said “the original ninety-six.” Hasbro never used the term #FinishThe96, but I started using that term and created that logo for the @SWTVC posts. You debated using that or #CompleteThe96 in your video series but ultimately opted to use #FinishThe96 as well and here we are today. Hopefully Hasbro keeps knocking them out over the next few years, but it’s not something they’ve ever directly committed to finishing, and unfortunately Chris Reiff recently spoke about how difficult getting FX-7 into the line would be these days.

I personally am all set with more clones. The officers would be cool for people to add to their clone collection. Stormies for me lol. But yeah no Nute Gunray, half the podracers and other characters from that scene, no Boss Nass although the Gungans get a bad rep from Jar Jar...who could of been ok but they just went too much on the "Goofy" side for me. More aliens and droids. They're the most fun to display
Just rewatched the first two seasons of Bad Batch and I love it! I skipped a couple of 'filler' episodes but on the whole it always heats up towards the latter end of the season. I have a feeling (hope) that s3 will be more focused as it is the finale.
QFNW. How did you crack the case of the new filming set up camera focus issues? Everything is looking great lately. (If you have told us before, I either forgot or didn’t see it)
I think Hasbro will be making a mistake if they don't have some TPM representation in TVC this year for the anniversary. Aurra Sing is a no brainer given the secondary market prices of that figure. Queen Amidala like Retro is getting or even return to Naboo gown from Legacy BD08 would be a nice addition. Any of the Jedi council would also be a nice addition like Depa Billaba. Yaddle was also in Legacy, and would be a nice easy release on a TPM card. They don't have to do an entire wave of 12 like they did in 1.0 days, but they definitely should not underestimate the fact that kids who grew up on TPM are now 30+ years old with money to spend. Be smart about it, and pick 4-5 really good figures collectors would buy.
Hi Bossk, QFNW: How likely do you think it is that Hasbro will ever release a Ralph Mcquarrie concept art series in the vintage collection? I recently picked up my first Gentle Giant jumbo figure of Darth Vader and absolutely love it. The Black series two pack of Darth Vader and bald Obi Wan also looks great. I think a lot of Star Wars fans have an affinity for his art as it was a fascinating peak behind the curtain, and it revealed what an important person Mcquarrie was in the creation of Star Wars itself! Concept versions of Luke, Han, Obi Wan, Vader, C3P0, Stormtrooper, Yoda, and Boba Fett would surely sell out. Plus with card back art being important for us TVC collectors, you have some of the most iconic art to choose from...would you be interested in a series like this?

Not sure if this is a worthy question, but QFNW: Given Hasbro's recent earnings report and the loses they've been taking with their Licensed product, how much do you think they need to lose in order to give up the Star Wars (and maybe Marvel) licenses with Disney? I would imagine once they have bled their current customers for everything they can get and begin to show negative profit margins, they will eventually give it up. More and more collectors are tailoring their purchases to specific movies/genres or leaving the hobby altogether. I've personally been contemplating selling off my Black Series OT collection and I only buy OT TVC products which they are making less and less of these days.
I got the E-Wing for one reason... The carded KE4-N4 (that's right it's/her name is Keana) And it's going right next to a Retro R2.. (can't afford the original) which was the very first Star Wars figure I got in 1978 at the age of 10 (wish I'd saved that one I tell you)

Hi BB, QFNW- (more discussion point) What are your thoughts on a troop builder pack - with the figures loose and with less articulation but in pre moulded stances (elbow bent to holder blaster etc) as an alternative to buying on card troopers at a lower cost. ps: my son gets a kick out of you reading these can you give him a shout out (Thomas) by asking him to stop losing hands helmets and weapons of our loose figures. Whilst it’s good and a new focus , it’s feels a little “ fill the the word of your choice” Should we be accepting of this? Also just an observation is it right that the price of a droid should be the same as a figure? I personally don’t think so. I suspect the issue with the E-wing is because of the EU fan fare more than anything else tbh. The newer appearance in Ahsoka just gave them a good excuse not to release it as EU, i suspect we'll be seeing a Tie defender before next year! - that is my call.. could be wrong but i have a feeling. If they do the Delta (Episode 2 one obiwan flew) or the Eta (episode 3) i think it'd go along side something like Order 66 packs, do a 6 monthly order 66 pack, with the Jedi's starship? I am far too hopeful thinking we'd get a bunch of them repainted.

I Don't think they'll update Grevious because its pretty hard to get him more perfect than he is. Improvements could be made, but none that really effect the figure one improvement they could do is the Feet, and a proper bloody Peg hole for a stand that he can get onto. But in terms of spinning his wrists with ball joints, i think his four arms are the same issues they pretend to have with female characters, they just wont make plastic that small with the worse kind of plastic they're using now. Is it possible? yeah somebody other than Hasbro or Hasbro 10 years ago could've made that figure using good plastic. Now days that Grevious is as good as we will ever get.. i suggest people Blue tack him to a larger stand and hope your room doesn't get as hot as mine!
I also feel like we should Demand/Request? make clear.. that if they are going to keep doing the two packs, which cost us MORE. One of those figures MUST be almost brand new, A repack with a recolour is not good enough. The only time a Recolour and a repack is acceptable is some of the figures from Legacy collection, if they wanna repack Jaina/Jacen in a two pack.. Sure. Spacetrooper? Alright. Otherwise bugger off and give us more new molds! or better kitbashing!

I doubt anyone who collects TVC agrees that not releasing Shin or Baylan was them knowing what they're doing. Hasbro have a habit of making bad choices which effect their sales, which effect us so we need to try to keep them accountable, not Shill for a giant company. I'll praise them when New Zealand gets the same offerings that anywhere else in the world does.

I am very much a proponent of a TVC Figure Dream Pack of Cantina Aliens! And I think if Hasbro does that, it should be in conjunction with a separate offering of a TVC Cantina (think the Boba Fett's throne room release). It's all about coordination though.

🤔Question for next week BB, with the recent Darth Reven & Jedi Reven, HK-47 & also the reissue of Starkiller which all where top of the list for most collectors & did extremely well in sales which is always great for the TVC line. I think this is an indication that Hasbro should give us more Expanded Universe characters from comics like Exar Kun & Darth Bane that I want to see in TVC as do many collectors. Any chance we could see more figures like this in the line this year & what if any do you want from EU?

QFNW: For a couple of weeks running Hasbro has dropped some new products by surprise. And it's been refreshing and welcome. While we knew about the "Escape from Order 66" 4-pack, the E-Wing was a complete surprise. What are your thoughts on this style of product drop that doesn't immediately following a Hasbro livestream? Do you expect that we might get another reveal this week? And do you think it would be something we've seen announced before, or another surprise item? Side note - with the Bad Batch season 3 premiere this coming Wednesday, it seems like an opportunity for a great surprise product drop related to the series.

Why do you think Hasbro decided to announce that they’re celebrating all the prequels this year, versus focusing solely on the anniversary of TPM like they did with RoTJ in 2023? I’m really hoping we’ll get newly sculpted figures for Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon from TPM, since I’m really not a fan of their current TVC iterations. QFNW: Could you see hasbro doing the Naboo royal starfighter as a haslab vehicle. I’ve always wanted an updated one as the original doesn’t hold up the best and is quite underscaled. I feel like it would work well as there are so many characters that could go with it and so much playability.
QFNW: With 2024 being the final season of The Bad batch, do you think we will finally get the rest of Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) in the TVC line?? We already got Hunter, but there has yet to be Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Crosshair, and Omega in the TVC 3.75" line.
That'd be a great Haslab. The Bad Batch crew with the Marauder, I definitely get that. Maybe a tier would be Sid the Trandoshan handler?
I wish I was still interested enough in Star Wars that I was still collecting the figures, because the ones in the classic style packs are extremely tempting, even now. The PT killed it for me though I'm afraid. I still like the OT though, especially ANH and ESB, and it's interesting to keep up to date on the releases of the aforementioned figures in the classic packaging.

I'm 100% with you that Oola is my top "Long Shot" pick for a character I think the line desperately NEEDS but they will never make. I would love it if they did like a Jabba's Palace 3 or 4 pack (maybe two needed repacks and two new sculpts) as a Pulse exclusive or (even better) a online exclusive and worked a new Oola in one of the new figures.
They could even use parts from her to make other secondary or back ground characters like Garsa Fwip (TBOBF) or Ayy Vida (AOTC) if they wanted to do a deep cut pack for Prequel fans.
I mean, if Disney/Lucasfilm is going to continue the "tradition" of putting at least one female Twi'lek in every Star Wars show and movie, for us to spot, they can't ignore that Oola was the first. Online exclusives would be the best way of getting the figure into the hands of collectors while avoiding negative PR for making a "sexist" character. (which I still don't get since around here Star Wars figures are usually in the same isle as WWE and Marvel legends, and WWE has literal figures of female wrestlers in lingerie, and Marvel keeps making Emma Frost...)

QFNW: There seems to be an almost obsessive belief in the TVC community that a Mos Eisley Cantina playset should be a Haslab campaign. But having seen the way Hasbro made the Boba Fett Throne Room, with wider availability of that set, along with the probably demand for a Cantina, that Throne Room sales model seems like it might be a preferable way to go.
What do you think of offering the Cantina in that format AND having a coordinated Haslab campaign for a Cantina Alien figure dream pack? A figure dream pack like that could possibly include some of the biggest deep cut characters from the Cantina. And given the way the mainline has been planned over the past several years it seems like one of the few ways to get some of those characters.

My favourite obscure background character would be Zuvio from TFA. I really wish they would have given him his 5 seconds of fame and not cut him! Would have been a call back to classic SW random alien appearances. Oh well.

I remember getting Mamow Nadon in the Saga collection and being blown away, I thought he was the definitive version. Then TVC came along and it looks like Hasbro could add more articulation to him. But the saga collection version was pretty well done, but if he had more articulation, even better.

I didn't really like the Obi-Wan Kenobi series as well, but now that i already have a lot of figures from the show, i wonder why they still haven't done Little Leia yet? She's one of the main characters and is badly missing from my display.
Hello Bossk and thanks again for this great space you have created. It's nice to see some steady vehicle releases within the past few years but the E-wing seemed to be a bit of a surprise. The ship will be a great addition but what do you think will be the next creation by Hasbro in regards to vehicles. I feel like the E-Wing idea was pulled from the polls that were done in early 2023 via FB groups and perhaps that will give us an idea?
I know there are a lot of questions coming to you so I am going to add another incase this one gets through. Do you think that the Ghost ship and the Sail Barge are good examples of the maximum size a Haslab could be, or is there a possibility that a release could be larger?

Considering the great job they did with updating the Falcon I think they could The Outrider as well. maybe have some characters from Shadows of the Empire as tier unlocks. Any thoughts?
A larger Outrider would be awesome. I hope we get that.
I agree with you that there are a lot of Prequel characters more prominent than Daultay Dofine (even if they’re not major characters) who would be great additions to the line. In fact, #1 on my March Madness list is Wat Tambor.
The 2019/2020 Hasbro livestreams had a logo that said “the original ninety-six.” Hasbro never used the term #FinishThe96, but I started using that term and created that logo for the @SWTVC posts. You debated using that or #CompleteThe96 in your video series but ultimately opted to use #FinishThe96 as well and here we are today. Hopefully Hasbro keeps knocking them out over the next few years, but it’s not something they’ve ever directly committed to finishing, and unfortunately Chris Reiff recently spoke about how difficult getting FX-7 into the line would be these days.

I personally am all set with more clones. The officers would be cool for people to add to their clone collection. Stormies for me lol. But yeah no Nute Gunray, half the podracers and other characters from that scene, no Boss Nass although the Gungans get a bad rep from Jar Jar...who could of been ok but they just went too much on the "Goofy" side for me. More aliens and droids. They're the most fun to display
Just rewatched the first two seasons of Bad Batch and I love it! I skipped a couple of 'filler' episodes but on the whole it always heats up towards the latter end of the season. I have a feeling (hope) that s3 will be more focused as it is the finale.
If they do another version of Finn I'd like it to be where he woke up in TLJ in the bacta suit.

I think Hasbro will be making a mistake if they don't have some TPM representation in TVC this year for the anniversary. Aurra Sing is a no brainer given the secondary market prices of that figure. Queen Amidala like Retro is getting or even return to Naboo gown from Legacy BD08 would be a nice addition. Any of the Jedi council would also be a nice addition like Depa Billaba. Yaddle was also in Legacy, and would be a nice easy release on a TPM card. They don't have to do an entire wave of 12 like they did in 1.0 days, but they definitely should not underestimate the fact that kids who grew up on TPM are now 30+ years old with money to spend. Be smart about it, and pick 4-5 really good figures collectors would buy.

Hi Bossk, QFNW: How likely do you think it is that Hasbro will ever release a Ralph Mcquarrie concept art series in the vintage collection? I recently picked up my first Gentle Giant jumbo figure of Darth Vader and absolutely love it. The Black series two pack of Darth Vader and bald Obi Wan also looks great. I think a lot of Star Wars fans have an affinity for his art as it was a fascinating peak behind the curtain, and it revealed what an important person Mcquarrie was in the creation of Star Wars itself! Concept versions of Luke, Han, Obi Wan, Vader, C3P0, Stormtrooper, Yoda, and Boba Fett would surely sell out. Plus with card back art being important for us TVC collectors, you have some of the most iconic art to choose from...would you be interested in a series like this?

Not sure if this is a worthy question, but QFNW: Given Hasbro's recent earnings report and the loses they've been taking with their Licensed product, how much do you think they need to lose in order to give up the Star Wars (and maybe Marvel) licenses with Disney? I would imagine once they have bled their current customers for everything they can get and begin to show negative profit margins, they will eventually give it up. More and more collectors are tailoring their purchases to specific movies/genres or leaving the hobby altogether. I've personally been contemplating selling off my Black Series OT collection and I only buy OT TVC products which they are making less and less of these days.
Regarding General Grievous, my main point of curiosity is how he will transfer to the upcoming Retro figure… 🧐

Hi BB, QFNW- (more discussion point) What are your thoughts on a troop builder pack - with the figures loose and with less articulation but in pre moulded stances (elbow bent to holder blaster etc) as an alternative to buying on card troopers at a lower cost.
ps: my son gets a kick out of you reading these can you give him a shout out (Thomas) by asking him to stop losing hands helmets and weapons of our loose figures. Cheers

Hasbro seemed to be All about the droids and repacks at the moment. Who do you think is driving this idea. Whilst it’s good and a new focus , it’s feels a little “ fill the the word of your choice”

Also just an observation is it right that the price of a droid should be the same as a figure? I personally don’t think so.

I suspect the issue with the E-wing is because of the EU fan fare more than anything else tbh.
The newer appearance in Ahsoka just gave them a good excuse not to release it as EU, i suspect we'll be seeing a Tie defender before next year! - that is my call.. could be wrong but i have a feeling.
If they do the Delta (Episode 2 one obiwan flew) or the Eta (episode 3) i think it'd go along side something like Order 66 packs, do a 6 monthly order 66 pack, with the Jedi's starship? I am far too hopeful thinking we'd get a bunch of them repainted.
Whatever happened, LEGO and Hasbro got the same memo there. Either way, I'm good - it's an incredible looking craft (that doesn't in anyway whatsoever look like a Colonial Viper whatsoever 😆)

I Don't think they'll update Grevious because its pretty hard to get him more perfect than he is.
Improvements could be made, but none that really effect the figure one improvement they could do is the Feet, and a proper bloody Peg hole for a stand that he can get onto.
But in terms of spinning his wrists with ball joints, i think his four arms are the same issues they pretend to have with female characters, they just wont make plastic that small with the worse kind of plastic they're using now.
Is it possible? yeah somebody other than Hasbro or Hasbro 10 years ago could've made that figure using good plastic.
Now days that Grevious is as good as we will ever get.. i suggest people Blue tack him to a larger stand and hope your room doesn't get as hot as mine!
I also feel like we should Demand/Request? make clear.. that if they are going to keep doing the two packs, which cost us MORE.
One of those figures MUST be almost brand new, A repack with a recolour is not good enough.
The only time a Recolour and a repack is acceptable is some of the figures from Legacy collection, if they wanna repack Jaina/Jacen in a two pack.. Sure.

I doubt anyone who collects TVC agrees that not releasing Shin or Baylan was them knowing what they're doing.
Hasbro have a habit of making bad choices which effect their sales, which effect us so we need to try to keep them accountable, not Shill for a giant company.
I'll praise them when New Zealand gets the same offerings that anywhere else in the world does.
