I spent a lot of time in Turin and around the city when I was working, a great destination for a break. Not only great food and wine but a couple of wonderful museums, the biggest Egyptian museum in EU if not the World and a great Motor museum (Turin is Fiat city) and of course a great Opera House.
Love the have fun travel tip the best! I recently played the Kapalua Plantation Course. My game wasn’t the best but the course was beautiful. You couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face. I had no idea how to play the strong wind on the back nine but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the best course I have ever played. Cheers bruh! Love the channel.
I use a club protector which extends about two inches above the longest clubs in my bag. It's about 47-48 inches when extended, but can be adjusted up or down as needed. It consists of a extendable metal shaft with a hard plastic top cover (like a small umbrella/dome). It protects your woods from baggage crush. I've lost two drivers to the gorilla baggage handlers. This takes up the impact. Heartily recommend this or switching to a hard travel case.
Going to Nice this weekend to play golf for 5 days. Great timing on the video!! Also keep up the great content, really good mix of technical, entertainment and general info. Big thumbs up!
Wrapping your bag in chicken wire and pouring concrete over it is great for protecting your clubs if you're just putting them on the plane. For shipping services I personally prefer to fill the bag with expandable foam so the shafts can't knock about and then ship them in a full sized shipping container - suspended by cables - in the exact center of the container so that the bag can't bump up against anything.
Really a pain to lug your golf bag on the busses. Usually we just drop a person off at the terminal and let them wait with the bags and then one person travels on the busses. Then the second thing always over looked is the size of the car...need a car big enough. Love the part about people getting upset on holiday while playing golf. We get to travel to some beautiful courses. Some days you have it some days you don't. Great video.
I made the mistake in Atlanta on my last trip (also my first trip with clubs) of sitting for about 10 minutes at the baggage carousel...turned around and seen over sized luggage and about 15 golf bags laying over there! Excellent tips boys!
Great vlog..... trips are all about great company and enjoyment. Rory would fit right in on our trip plenty of hangovers. But great laughs had by all. The 1st tee on last day if the funny hour of my hole year. #golfisfun #beatsworkalldaylong
+Phil T two points here. We travel every month with clubs all over the world and have had no damage. POINT two we need to stay as light as possible so hard cases are a complete no no as we won't hit the weight restrictions.
Great tips brah. I usually stuff my socks and pants between the club heads as my bag is not very padded. If it's a long weekend all t-shirts and trousers go in to so no extra luggage required. 👍
Off to Benalmadena next week, the piss up in the night is up there as a reason we go as much as the golf is...and cause of this, if i have a shit round the next day i'm next exactly to arsed about it😂
I wrap the heads of the irons and drivers in towels and tee shirts. Padding ensured so nothing bangs around. I don't have a super sporty travel bag right now though....I keep forgetting to buy one until the day before my trip and then it's too late. Mine is currently falling apart, literally.
great tips, I´ve played in places as far flung as Sri Lanka, Italy, Portugal, and Barbados. Going to Costa Rica in Jan. Love travelling and playing golf somewhere warm, is there anything better? ;)
Got a tip from a guy at work who had a driver snapped off at the head in his travel bag: Put a hockey stick in the bag-align it to curve over the (other) woods.
Buy a hard travel case for your clubs! I bought a soft one and found my drive shaft splintered after the flight :( Or take your wood heads off if possible
I wrap my towel around the top of my clubs for extra paddling And pack all My clothes in golf bag never weights more than 20kg so no need for any hand luggage
If traveling to another country, check their policies for carry on. Example: in the US golf balls in carry on are legal and OK through security. Not so much in the Dominican Republic or some other countries (must be checked).
I'm with coach. I can get drunk any day of the week. But when I'm paying £500 For a weekend in Spain playing 3 rounds of golf I want to enjoy the golf. Normally fly Friday morning play Friday afternoon, play as early as possible on Saturday, few beers watch a match and early to bed, then play 1st thing Sunday, chill rest of Sunday and then get last flight back home ready for work Monday morning. Tip for packing. Put toiletries in golf bag as you can't put them in your hand luggage
#1 Tip: Be prepared to play in the rain. After spending loads of money, there will be people in your group that will be determined and/or prepared to play. You don't want to be the one soaking wet or drinking alone at the clubhouse.
Great video for all the people out there with no common sense, better advice is just don't bother going golfing abroad as the two days you spend travelling can be spent golfing in England instead as we have much better courses all over our country and it doesn't matter where you go its the people you are with that count. Spending £100's of pounds on flights and hotels and hire cars and paying over priced green fees just because the course is abroad and the hanging around airports and getting through customs etc just isn't worth all the hassle , much better to say ok lads we are off to Lancashire to play fantastic courses like Hillside , Formby , Birkdale and Lytham this year and next year we will go to north wales or down to kent or up to scotland.. we are spoilt for choice in this country and yet most do the trip over to portugal to play overplayed over priced golf courses in the sun which is stupid as if its sunny much better to be on the beach than sweltering on a golf course.
+chuckypud this comment is very odd. Like you are scared of travel and different culture. UK defo has great course but this comment defo had me giggling. 👍👍
I go away twice a year at least and when I do I embrace local culture and cuisine and you don't find local culture on a golf course Mark.I get going to America to play Pebble beach but going abroad to just play fairly ordinary courses doesn't seem worth the hassle, time and expense of travelling a long distance. a typical trip will have you leaving the house at 6 am and a one to two hour drive to the airport , then 2 hours of doing the airport crap with checking in , queuing for customs etc , queuing for boarding , then 2 hour flight at least , then 30 mins to get off the plane , 30 mins waiting for luggage , 30 mins sorting out hire car so thats around 7 hours already , then an hour to the hotel and its mid afternoon so no golf today and you've been up since 5am so your knackered too when you could have already played one great game of golf that day in england and be checking into a nice country pub for a few beers some nice food and a good laugh around a nice log fire and you'll have the same manic travelling day when you come back so why spend two days of that when you could be golfing in our country with only a trip up the motorway to contend with.
1. Drink plenty of alcohol 2. Drink plenty of alcohol 3. Drink plenty of alcohol 4. Drink plenty of alcohol 5. Take plenty of headache/sickness tablets to overcome all the alcohol drank...
I always take my driver head off, then stick my shoes in the top of the golf bag to protect the other heads. As for vip drop off, I flew to the UK from OZ with 2 large suit cases, 1 small suitcase, 1 Child car seat, 1 pram, 1 wife and 1 5 month old. Airport buses aaaaaarrrrrggggg. People on the airport buses c*&^%. Enough said.
Mark, good vlog up until you did the old British thing of having a go at someone who didn't want to drink alcohol. Mat was not being 'serious', he just had his reasons for not drinking. He didn't have a go at you for drinking. Grow up a bit, you should know better now. Drink if you want, don't drink if you don't, just leave it at that.
Read this comment before watching the video and expected Mark to be giving Matt a load of grief. Think you need to chill out Peter, it was a sly dig between friends.
Love when Rory is in the vlogs!
Always love the DVs but they are more impressive to me when you're traveling and still manage to get great quality vids out. Well done, Mark.
Welcome back Rory!!!!! What's a golf trip without drinking too much???? Coach needs to have a beer and relax, don't need to beat Crossfield everytime!
Clubs upside down in bag, remove heads of hybrid/woods/driver and stuff the "rain cover" with clothes :)
Good advice.... the best one is ...make sure you enjoy it no matter bad the golf is
Great to see the lads off course for a change. Very enjoyable.
I spent a lot of time in Turin and around the city when I was working, a great destination for a break. Not only great food and wine but a couple of wonderful museums, the biggest Egyptian museum in EU if not the World and a great Motor museum (Turin is Fiat city) and of course a great Opera House.
Great seeing Rory!
Golf trips are all about getting trollied and playing the next day rough as, can't beat it

Missed it live, busy decorating but it does get me brownie points for when i want to go golfing!!!
Might be the best daily vlog so far
SKB hard shell case, can't be beat....apart from the time it went to LAX and I went to LHR.
I use a club protector which extends about two inches above the longest clubs in my bag. It's about 47-48 inches when extended, but can be adjusted up or down as needed. Great vlog and reminded me I need to get back to Italy right around the time you started showing the food. Have fun!
Great video, I loved the ‘lovely boy’ comment at 5.12, mad me chuckle.
I always put a broom handle cut to 47" ish in bag so if the bag is thrown on its end the broom handle takes the impact not my driver
I wrap my whole bag in chicken wire. It's kind of a pain to deal with but totally worth it.
Oh that's good!
I do the same, than I poor concrete over it and leave it to harden for a few days.
Wrapping your bag in chicken wire and pouring concrete over it is great for protecting your clubs if you're just putting them on the plane. I usually turn the irons around so most of the weight is at the base by the wheels
I use a Club Glove Stiff Arm as well in my golf travel bag. Great vlog as per usual...
Real good tips bruh! Will use them when I go on golf holiday
Really a pain to lug your golf bag on the busses. Usually we just drop a person off at the terminal and let them wait with the bags and then one person travels on the busses. We definitely need to see more of the nights out on vlog. 10 out of 10 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great tips. We stuck two sets of clubs in one golf bag which saved some £££ too :)
Going to France in two days and all I got from this video was get on it! and worry about the hangover tomorrow. Cheers Brah #golfisfun???
I made the mistake in Atlanta on my last trip (also my first trip with clubs) of sitting for about 10 minutes at the baggage carousel...turned around and seen over sized luggage and about 15 golf bags laying over there! Excellent tips boys!
That will teach me to order shoes before the vlog goes out!! Hopefully golf online will honour retrospectively?
Great vlog..... trips are all about great company and enjoyment. Rory would fit right in on our trip plenty of hangovers. But great laughs had by all. The 1st tee on last day if the funny hour of my hole year. #golfisfun #beatsworkalldaylong
SKB hard shell case - #1 tip. Can't imagine packing like those two did with no towels or padding around the heads or shafts.
+Phil T two points here. We travel every month with clubs all over the world and have had no damage. POINT two we need to stay as light as possible so hard cases are a complete no no as we won't hit the weight restrictions.
Peroni is great beer!! 🍺🍻
Tip 3 was a great tip.
Great tips brah. I usually stuff my socks and pants between the club heads as my bag is not very padded. If it's a long weekend all t-shirts and trousers go in to so no extra luggage required. 👍
+Adam Coyne like it 👍
My favourite vlog!!!
Saw Ray.... Smashed the like button!
Predicting win for the ARMY. Go coach.
Great video.
Finally know what drone you use now :)
Great video. Though I would put a couple of lengths of pvc in my bag that are just a bit longer than my driver. Paranoid, I am.
Off to Benalmadena next week, the piss up in the night is up there as a reason we go as much as the golf is...and cause of this, if i have a shit round the next day i'm next exactly to arsed about it😂
I'm pretty sure we've had a version of this video when ye went to Greece?
I wrap the heads of the irons and drivers in towels and tee shirts. Padding ensured so nothing bangs around. I don't have a super sporty travel bag right now though....I keep forgetting to buy one until the day before my trip and then it's too late. Mine is currently falling apart, literally.
great tips, I´ve played in places as far flung as Sri Lanka, Italy, Portugal, and Barbados. Going to Costa Rica in Jan. Love travelling and playing golf somewhere warm, is there anything better? ;)
I lost it when they started honking 😂🤣🤣😂
Got a tip from a guy at work who had a driver snapped off at the head in his travel bag:
Put a hockey stick in the bag-align it to curve over the (other) woods.
Next time You come to Turin tell me and I can show you the town!!!
You where sleeping infront of my office LOL
+Gabo Buscaglia 👍👍
Meet and great at the airport every time
great tips mark...funny to see you in a normal cap and not one that's 5 inches off top of your head
My travel tip nro 1: if airport near you offers straight flight to girona, go to pga catalunya. 10min from airport and best courses in europe.
Buy a hard travel case for your clubs! I bought a soft one and found my drive shaft splintered after the flight :( Or take your wood heads off if possible
Brown and Red sauce together on a bacon sandwich is 👌🏽
I wrap my towel around the top of my clubs for extra paddling
And pack all My clothes in golf bag never weights more than 20kg so no need for any hand luggage
If traveling to another country, check their policies for carry on. Example: in the US golf balls in carry on are legal and OK through security. Not so much in the Dominican Republic or some other countries (must be checked).
Rory better be careful being in Turin, if he lays down on his bed sheets too long he may leave an image. 2nd Coming an all...
Truly. ..truly. ..truly jealous.
The envy had not really hit me until now.
Try to have a good time!
Socks make great head covers for your irons
I heard through the grape vine Jordan spieth will be making a vlog appearance in the near future thanks to under armour (you can do it Mark)
Parfield, making the switch to UA?? 😮
Is that a fusion driver coach?👀
Is it Xmas in Turin?
Do I see a cheeky under armour sponsorship there?
TPGAM3R I noticed that too.... what happened to the FJ ambassador??

Mark, I think it's crazy the airports ask you if you are carrying any hand grenades !!!
6:33
divot
You should have asked Pickard how to avoid a black eye on a golf holiday
#1 Tip: Be prepared to play in the rain. After spending loads of money, there will be people in your group that will be determined and/or prepared to play. You don't want to be the one soaking wet or drinking alone at the clubhouse.
Why not shoot with something more wide angle like gopro with separate audio unit? Seems like u r too zoomed in for this type of vlog.

Lockey's hair doesn't look shit, fair play
Ua eh.
Rory seemed to be feeling no pain.
My top tip: don't drink Peroni, it's foul. Except for Gran Riserva. ;-)
I prefer peroni leggera to the full strength peroni. cheers
Surely dont use RYAN AIR has to be a Top Tip
The army new restriction! Coke at night make sure we get the Win !
1. Drink plenty of alcohol
2. Drink plenty of alcohol
3. Drink plenty of alcohol
4. Drink plenty of alcohol
5. Take plenty of headache/sickness tablets to overcome all the alcohol drank...
Hey jesus. Sort us out some bread and coke
I want your job(s)
That restaurant has too many mirrors. wtf?
Coach having a nightmare #hangovergolfisbetter

A bit rude to wear the cap in restaurant I would say
Times change fam. Stop resisting and you'll be infinitely happier.
What an effing C... ? @4:49 ? #familyshow
Never go on a trip with people who watch the pennies.

I'd give this 10 likes if I could.
Peter Harris friend of Bill I'm guessing?
+Peter Harris please tell me this is a joke 🙈
Fun police
Read this comment before watching the video and expected Mark to be giving Matt a load of grief. Think you need to chill out Peter, it was a sly dig between friends.
Rory looks homeless, poor guy.
Gav Xample I think Ray's outfit is quite good compared to Coach
