Ben, as of 2020, buyers want it all in a car. Wrongler (pun intended) buyers are borderline preppers. This has classy styling, great mpg, versatility (from the city jungle to the great outdoors) and ideally, an American brand.

I've seen, I suspect we've both seen, Wranglers with price tags well over $70,000 and the Wrangler 392 Rubicon comes in, I believe, at over $90,000. Quite honestly, I'd rather have a Jeep Wrangler---any Jeep Wrangler---than a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon. On the other hand, I'd have to give serious thought to any Wrangler when compared to a Unimog. On a separate matter, how does your wife's DEFENDER compare with your personal Wrangler in reliability and in resale value? I am an ex-series Land Rover owner (of almost 30 years) whose been the proud owner of a Wrangler unlimited Rubicon since April 2012. My Wrangler Rubicon has been vastly more reliable than any Land Rover product or Rover motor car I've ever owned. Thanks for your various road tests and comments on various Wranglers and Gladiators. I think these 4Xe's are in the same class as the Gladiators--they aren't selling! In fact I believe a recall was just issued because one model year caught on fire! A mechanic detailed their construction. I believe he said that they have 3 separate cooling systems and water pumps. What could possibly go wrong?
Paint matched bumper is idiotic, really. That plus the complexity of the hybrid system (3 cooling systems, three batteries!) makes this a no go for me.
nothing about this wrangler screams $70,000 to me it looks more like a $45,000 to $50,000 this wrangler is a rip off in my opinion it does not compare to like a vehicle that's in that price range because a vehicle in that price range will have by far better interior and everything this does not even look from the outside and inside a $70,000 vehicle it's just a rip off

Jeep should have made the doors and top non removable and luxed out the interior and added about 50 lbs of sound insulation.

I have Jeep Wrangler 2021 High Altitude non electric, luv it. Would like to upgrade to 2024 but not available w/o electric.

it ride worse then most other trim. you also get easy to damage 20 inch rims and the smallest tire... but somehow it sells, I see a few on the street.

The crazy part is that the sport will run at that $45,000 range. For a base model that should be in the low $30,000s at most
