Hi Andy, i was hoping you might tell me the size of the breaker bar i should buy to open the nuts 17mm and 24mm on the vario and clutch? If i buy the 24" breaker bar would it be too long, or would the 18" be a better size
Tip: On the first opportunity, get some silicone and literally glue the gasket to the outer cover. Any time you must access the transmission. The gasket will be both safe and out of the way. ;-O Curiously, I have done this to brand new scooters. The last time was on the second week of ownership of a Burgman 400. Piaggio 250 on the first maintenance, etc. etc. It makes any intervention a breeze, with parts easily out of the way. Cheers
Nice video. I have a Neos 50 2t. I use 7nm on that variator case. I have the old MBK Ovetto/Neos YN50 2002 workshop manual download and it says 7nm. In a Haynes Scooters it says 9nm. But I think the 9 is too tight. If you do it up by the old school mechanics feel. You’ll find you’ll be hitting the 7nm naturally.

Hi. Can you put as many shims on as is needed until the belt sits on the front roller bearling thats in the middle of the variator?
You don't need to put shims on. Get the correct sized belt and you don't need them.
