Hi teacher Emma, I'm from SriLanka.i got 16 only.when you speak about SriLanka I felt oh my god... because you knew about the my country..I'm soo happy... thank you very much....
It's really challenging. I got them all right, although the voice is too low. Thanks for your great lessons. I watch all your videos and never skip any of them.
Watching your lessons and learning English with you, dear Emma is always my fave method to have a real practice! Your calming voice inspires, cheers me up 'n' also motivates me to go further and further! I'm fond of your videos concerning idioms and phrasal verbs, they're all still tricky for me sometimes... Have a happy week, lovely Emma! You rock!😊🥰👍
Thanks, Dave! Idioms will always be a lifelong journey of discovery - I'm still learning new ones that are more commonly used in different parts of the English-Speaking world!
@@mmmEnglish_Emma Yeah, that's the deal, Emma, agree with you completely. Idioms can be really hard for even natives like you but as it appears to me, the supreme goal for everyone who knows or learns English is to feel totally free in utilizing them in daily speech, spoken or written, doesn't matter.. Anyway, I'm doing my best to overcome my fears and for using idioms and phrasal verbs fluently 'n' correctly in my life! Emma, I was able to get 39 out of 40, it's fantastic for me! Love you always! Best wishes to you 'n' your family (including Frankie! how is she?!)
Got 3 incorrect answers in Advanced level and I’ve noticed they were the one that I’m not familiar with. Thanks heaps Emma, the test was pretty easy for me.❤
Hi Emma, I m so glad to hear that you're doing well and in good health, that's the most important thing above all else. Life is to short and is crucial to find a balance between work and personal matters... Have a great mid-week.😊
I like this kind of exercices... My level is upper intermediate. I'm proud of me because, generally, it's difficult for me to understanding someone who speaking English with me. Thank you Emma to take your time to learning English around you !
Usually, when someone creates a listening test you have the full text. And you have longer periods of time between text gaps, so you could have time fill them.
1. My wife received a Hey Lady subscription as a gift, roughly one year AGO. 2. I have been watching your videos since 2019. 3. We worked in Turkiye for 6 months.
I scored 31. Honestly, my daily routine is 90% listening and the rest is a little of reading or/and grammar. Curiously, i get a better mark in advanced than upper intermediate level. No way I'm in advanced level. I just want to understand music lyrics and movies and that's not possible for me right now, so i tend to say that I'm struggling with B2 level, deep in the trenches of B2, in what is called the "plateau". No doubt you dear Emma have been one of the teachers in my way from, perhaps, A2 to B2. And i have to thank you so much. THANKS A LOT !!!!
Hi Emma, I'm from Sri Lanka and currently live in Kalgoorlie, Perth. I am glad you took my beautiful country as an example......🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😃 Thank you for that
Emma you are one of my best teacher, l missed you so much when you was absent for couple of months, but now l’am very happy to see you making video again, greet for you and all yours there, from Dominican Republic.
I have been watching english programmes including your videos , with subtitles turned off and felt me that i have been gradually progressing with good perception of them , not translating in my head. I like your videos as they are desighed in a a way that english learners can easily perceive. Have a nice day. May your shadow never grow less.
I don't agree that I'm in upper intermediate, due to my lack of vocabulary and sometimes I stumble me in english. I hit 22 words and sometimes I accepted a fragment expression( 50% of phrase). This video is awesome❤🎉
Got 35 out of 40 29 - missed the word “ecstatic” 35 - missed the preposition, so I thought it’s for 36 - I wrote down “as” possible 39 - I thought it’s a, but the 40 - I had the answer, spontaneous “herself” 😢 Thanks for the video, Emma!
Thanks for the lesson, Wow i think im still intermediate, but you spell it so clear not like the others 😅 it's getting easy if you speak it loud and slowly but the hardest part of conversation is respon and explain properly specifically 😅
Dear Emma your new lesson is brilliant like your project " Hey Lady!' I have a plan to join to "Hey Lady" kind of in our winter or late fall Thank you for your efforts
Great work! The line between upper-intermediate and advanced is not a solid one! It doesn't surprise me that you know advanced words right and you missed a couple of upper-intermediate ones 🙂
Thank you so much for this beautiful test! I got 28 points, so my level is Upper-intermediate Blessings and I hope you'll feel better right now Beautiful Ema God bless you!

I like this video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

29, but the main problem was that I was not fast enough with my pen! 😂 So I often missed last word 😅.And yes, I shared the video 😊 Thank you, Emma, for your lessons! ❤
@@mmmEnglish_Emma I got all the answers right. Your wonderfully clear pronunciation did all the work, though. I only wrote down what my ears found so easy to "decode" and filled the gaps. It wouldn't have been as easy as it was if you didn't pronounce so clearly. 🙂

29, but the main problem was that I was not fast enough with my pen! 😂 So I often missed last word 😅.And yes, I shared the video 😊 Thank you, Emma, for your lessons! ❤
Thanks a lot for an amazing lesson ❤ ... This was so interesting.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this listening skills test ❤️
33 points Gosh, appreciate it teacher, u're doing great, mesmerizing 💯🌻

I'm so happy you're back, Emma!❤ Thanks a lot for everything you do!
I'm so glad to be back, thank you! ❤
Hi! there,
I passed test with score 40. It was very interesting and listenable story.
Thanks again
Great job! 👏
I belong to the advance level and I’m grateful for this test. Thank you Emma!
You're so welcome!
I love your tests....and yours videos Emma
Glad you like them!
I’m so happy to have taken this test. I owe you a lot, Emma. Thank you very much, indeed! :-)
My absolute pleasure Alberto! 🥳
How did you go on the test?
@@mmmEnglish_Emma I got all the answers right. Your wonderfully clear pronunciation did all the work, though. I only wrote down what my ears found so easy to "decode" and filled the gaps. It wouldn't have been as easy as it was if you didn't pronounce so clearly. 🙂
I'm so surprised to reach the score of 25 😳 More than that, I only got 3 good answers at upper intermediate level and 5 good answers at advanced level 😅 What I'm sure about is you're still my favorite English teacher and I want to thank you for this super interesting lesson Emma 👍👏👏
Well done! 🥳 (and thank you for the kind words 😍)
@@mmmEnglish_Emma it's just normal 😉
come 2 my country.from sri lanka .always you look very stable.thanks your teaching❤🌹
Thank you for this kind of videos... Hope you will make more videos like this❤❤❤.. God bless Emma. Keep sharing to us your knowledge.... 😊
Great as usual! To be honest, my score would have been way lower if I had listened to some other speaker. A good training for me. Thanks a lot!
Thanks teacher ♥ 🇮🇶 🌷
Please, publish many other videos like this! No need for listening skills assessment. The most relevant idea is the exercise of filling the gaps.
Thank you teacher Emma for your video , it's important for us
Hey Emma,
could you please make a video about when to use ‘either’ and ‘too’ “I do either / I do too” I don’t get when to use what
or ‘me either’ / ‘neither.’ That’d be great
And is the way you pronounce Sri Lanka the Australian way or the English way! I’m kinda shocked, I thought it’s with an S like in snow
